Beautiful cards! My rings are yellow gold. I had the same issue, but mine was weight related. I couldn’t get my rings off! I managed to get hydrocortisone cream under my rings & did my best to keep my hand dry, making a point to move my rings back & forth to dry under them. I’m very thankful to have lost enough weight to be able to get them off (& get some air under them!) although I still have more weight to lose. No more rash! If it is the metal, you might experimenting with coating inside your rings with clear nail polish. Best wishes! 😊❤️

I can literally listen to you all day!! Love you and these cards are fabulous! I have a similar problem with my ring, I determined it was because I was washing my hands so much more these days, I think the soap residue was getting trapped under there and causing excema type rash /dried out. I'm trying to take them off and dry my hands thoroughly after washing, sometimes I just have to take them off though for awhile.

These are gorgeous and so fun, Laura! Sorry about your finger! They may be right about the metal. I have eczema and get patches in random places sometimes - gets swollen and itchy. Maybe you can get your ring re-coated?

You always make me NEED more because you do such a great job creating new and wonderful things. I agree with some of the others commenting that you may need to have your jeweler add more rhodium to your ring. I have a gold allergy and can only wear white gold. If it becomes thin and I wear it all the time I breakout and swell. Good luck and Thanks!!

These ink colors are beautiful!
I had the same issue with my yellow gold wedding rings about 10 years ago. The dermatologist said it was soap and/or cleaning products and to let my fingers air out for a bit. I didn't wear my rings for a year! I can wear them no with no trouble. It also happened to my next-door neighbor, but she's good now as well. Love your cards and your jingles!
Love your cards! I'd be willing to bet you have developed an allergy or sensitivity to nickel. I developed an allergy to it, I ignored a local rash and it ended up generalizing throughout my entire body and I had a rash head to toe. Had to take alot of steroids to get rid of it and it was awful. You can go to a dermatologist to get a simple test done to see if it is the nickel causing your problem. My poor husband had to splurge and get platinum rings for me when we got engaged and married. Good luck, I wouldn't ignore it just in case!

Could be something on the ring. Try ultrasonic cleaning and a good soap tooth brush scrub inside? I was an RN. could be a contact dermatitis? Hope it clears up. Hugs!

A little late to the party, but really enjoying these cool background stencils! Geometric, and take blending to new heights! And Laura, just last week my husband had a rash form under his (🍎) watch. So for a week he wore it on his other hand, and a new watch band somehow made its way to our house! 🙄 Hope you solve your wedding band rash…..good luck! TFS! 🌻🌸💌

It’s the white gold, which is annealed with nickel and zinc, surprise, surprise! I had the same thing with my white gold wedding ring. By the way, your cards are amazing!!
maybe try a clear coat of nail polish on the metal, careful to avoid the stones. If you still get a rash, it's not the metal.

Do you have another ring to wear on that hand? Maybe a nickel allergy or maybe something getting trapped under ring.
Your cards are stunning. I have had similar finger issues of I get an irritant under my ring... soap, cleaning product, etc. I hope it clears up soon for you.

Ohhhh I got a rash under my ring, it was an allergic reaction! I had left some weird soap under it…..clean the rings well, and have them radium plated! Mine are fine again! Worked like a dream ❤

Beautiful cards make a beautiful life!! I find for me, it is the antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer we all have to use now. It has done a number on my hands!!! It may be getting under your rings and staying wet and causing an eczema rash.
The same thing happened to my mother, after 35 years of wearing rings she became allergic to her rings (she became allergic to a lot of things).

Hey Laura, the ring thing happened to me 30 years ago. Can only wear sterling silver now so my husband bought me a turquoise/silver band. I love it. Don't miss the diamond. Hope you can
overcome the problem though. I never did.

Hi Laura, first off, beautiful cards. Next, since you haven't had this problem before it could be soap under your ring when you wash your hands. Get your finger cleared up without your ring on then try rinsing your hands really well after using soap. Try carefully moving your ring up and down as you rinse so you can make sure all soap is rinsed away. This very thing happened to me and it took me the longest time to figure it out. Good luck and let us know the outcome ;-)
My family has been in the jewelry business for over 100 years. While nickel allergies are possible, it’s more likely that your ring needs replated with rhodium. Any lotions, make-up, soaps can become trapped under your ring and cause irritation. Have your ring professionally cleaned and rhodiumed and try again. Also…unless your jewelry is platinum (and even then I wouldn’t) never wear your jewelry in the pool or hot tub. Also, some hand sanitizers are damaging. Great cards, as always!
Love ‘em. Wish we could get SSS in UK besides paying ridiculous £ for delivery & customs. Hey ho. The ring thing could be more than usual hand washing and/or the dreaded alcohol hand gel a la Covid. I always have problems under my rings. Hope you get it sorted. Love from Devon in South West UK. Xx

Couple of things about your ring allergy. Have you changed soap or lotion? If not try drying your finger really well. It is easy to. Just give our hands a quick blot and go on. The cortisone cream will give relief.

1st, those backgrounds are gorgeous and the ens results WOW! 2nd, have your rings professionally cleaned, brush Hanks teeth this might take many many hands, start wearing your rings and if the rash comes back then see the doctor, ugh. I had the same problem but thankfully all that cleaning did the trick. Good luck!
Please have your blood pressure checked. Something similar happened to me. My blood pressure was high. Long story short, once I got it under control, no more finger issues. Beautiful cards as always ❤️🇦🇺
Gorgeous cards!!! Regarding your rings, you may have developed an allergy to them. I have learned from experience and from what my doctor had told you can develop allergies to anything at any time. It especially happens if you have long repeated exposure to something. I developed a fragrance allergy in my early twenties, and now everything that I use has to be fragrance-free, or else I will have hives. Since you said that you had your rings off for a week and was better, but once you put them back you had a rash and swollen at the specific spot, you may want to go to the doctor and get an allergy test.
I have the same allergies you have. It makes crafting hard sometimes because of the products with fragrances!

Laura, I also have an allergy to a preservative they put in most water based products. I'm not sure if you've only been diagnosed with fragrance allergies, but this preservative is hidden in most fragrances. I can't use any of the liquid adhesives, any mediums like Gesso etc., and the preservative is also in some of the sprays and markers. I hope you are not allergic to any of these products. I did notice they are putting fragrances in some markers and glues (more for kids)
@@love2create62 I haven't had any problems with the liquid glue I use. I don't use Gesso. So hopefully I won't get an allergy to whatever it is.
Do you use hand sanitizer a lot?
Also, white gold is plated with rhodium and May need to be re-dipped?

First, I love your cards! Second, the exact same thing has happened to me with my white gold wedding ring. I have to stop wearing it every so often...i do not know what is causing it.
I had the same thing happen with my ring too. It has been at least 5 years and it still breaks out if I put my ring back on. Only on that finger though.

It’s most likely something that got under your ring. But a lot of people are allergic specifically to white gold. White gold has nickel in it. And the allergy doesn’t show up until the rhodium plating wears off the white gold. All white gold is plated with rhodium.Rhodium is a derivative of platinum and platinum is hypoallergenic.If your ring hasn’t been re-rhodium plated recently or in a long time you might want to consider having that done.Some people that have allergies even after replating put a little bit of clear nail polish on the inside of the rings. But again if you’ve never had a allergy it’s most likely something that got under your ring and make sure you clean it really good before you put it back on. Love your ring it’s really pretty in fact it’s almost identical to my band which I’ve never really seen the flat 6 prong🙂 I always enjoy your videos thank you
Great cards! Talk to a jeweler about your ring. That might be a good source of info about metals and rashes. At least before a dr.
White gold can have some nickel in it! I am allergic to nickel and I get the worst rash! The slightest bit of nickel in anything that touches my skin and I break out. The white gold you have could be wearing allowing some nickel to be exposed. That's my two cents take it or leave it! Your cards are gorgeous as always!
I'm sorry to hear about the irritation your ring is causing, bless. It happened to me too and it could be caused by soap and water (or pool water if you've been swimming...I noticed you're sporting some tan hands 🤭) trapped underneath your ring that then irritates the skin. The doctor will probably tell you to use Cortaid cream to treat it and/or dry your hands and ring each time after washing your hands. 👐🏻 Your cards are beautiful; the backgrounds are so good! ♥🌼🌺
Cards are great. You always inspire me Laura. Question on the inks: on the back of the Ink pads it says to store them upright in case of seepage, but I noticed yours are standing up in your container. Have you had any problems with yours?
Laura, your cards are gorgeous and you are such fun to listen to! I've been bingeing your videos and just had to tell you how wonderful you are. The problem with your wedding ring sounds like 'wedding ring rash', which may have been set off by the small amount of nickel and other metals mixed with gold to change its color (white/rose, etc) and harden it. Unfortunately, metal sensitivity often becomes a problem only after prolonged contact with the offending material, and once manifested may be permanent. I used to wear all kinds of metal jewelry for years with no issues, but developed a random rash one summer over 15 years back. It healed up in time but comes back now if I wear metal jewelry. My own wedding ring is white gold and I can wear it for only a few days in cooler weather. The only thing I can safely wear is sterling silver, but I avoid wearing even that if I don't need to.... I hate going to the doctor myself, so I figure best thing to do is avoid whatever sets my skin off and save the small bit of resistance I have left so I can wear jewelry on special occasions.

I have All the CP inks pads and minis and refills, but now that I see the SSS they are HYBRID and the ink stays in place , the pads also look larger, but what I like the BEST is SSS sells TRIOS and have done all the layering work for ya, which is something I've asked CP to do.

There might be Nickel in your wedding ring? It might be an allergy to nickel.
You may be getting something under the ring and that is causing it, I had the same problem, if you changed cleaning products that could be it.
I love your cards! I'm allergic to several metals, gold being one of them. I am not sure your reaction would clear up that fast if it's a true metal allergy. I would suggest you put your wedding ring, or another gold ring, on your other hand to see if you get the same reaction. I hope it's a fluke, because being allergic to any kind of metal is a big pain!
I really love these Laura. I had a problem with one of my rings turning my finger black, and I knew it said 14k on my ring. I found out they often will put Gold on top of silver and if it's a certain amount apparently they don't have to call it plated. However your ring is 25yrs old and would have been giving you problems before now. Is it maybe a new cleaner, or dog shampoo that has settled a bit under your ring? BTW we celebrated our 25th in July. We live near Atlanta and got married then so our family could get hotel rooms before the Olympics had them all full. We have 4 kids, and this year I got a ring upgrade.💍
Your story about your wedding ring sounds like what happened to me. I also have a white gold band. I just quit wearing the ring for a couple of weeks and when I put it back on it was fine. I never figured out what caused it but I do get dermatitis from pollen so I assumed that was it. It only affected around and underneath where I wear my ring. It was weird and only happened the one time. I don't have a dog but I do someone who's allergic to dog saliva so it very well could be the dog saliva. Good luck figuring it out.

Could it be that your rings are ready for a visit to the jeweler??? Maybe enough of the plating is worn on the inside and the nickel in the ring is an irritation??? Good luck!!!
Hi, I also take all jewellery off before bed but got a rash on my finger I think from moisture under the ring. The ring had a wide band and even though it fit well, I got a rash. Now I only wear rings with narrow bands and have no issue. Ring or no ring, you're still married...

Your allergic to your ring …… true story I’ve been married 27 years and on my 25th year exactly the same thing happened to me ( but mine were yellow gold) in the end a I bought white gold ring and it’s fine. …… so I had to buy anew set xx

Just a suggestion. If you are a normally healthy person but suddenly start getting rashes you should check it out for sure. Don't minimize it. With everything going on in the world right now the simplest and smartest thing you can do is to hit your doctor's office.
You can actually develop a Gold allergy or sensitivity late in life, especially if you have worn gold jewelry in the same place for many years. Might be worth looking into. An allergist could help determine it.
I became allergic my my yellow gold wedding ring after 10 years. I ended up getting a new ring, not yellow gold.
