For many of us, our best ideas come to us late in the night. I am no exception. The main melody of "Stargazing" struck me in the early hours of the morning while I was getting ready for bed. Typically when this happens I brush it off and try my best to remember it the following day. However, something about this song kept me from closing my eyes.
"Stargazing" follows what one might see late into the night, far away from the light pollution of the city. As the sun sets and our eyes adjust, the night erupts into a symphony of speckled lights dotting the skies above us, their twinkling and glittering emulated in the writing. Unfortunately, this will not last forever, as the sun rises again.
