What an absolutely lovely gentleman. Loved every minute of this.
I imagine being a child in this garden… hours of fun and places to explore 😊♥️
Winnie The Pooh would love it!
I would love it so much
I love it being an adult... 🥰😍
Oh yeah if you watched their channel, his kids are very much involved in taking care of the castle esp in the outdoors. And they look like they are really enjoying moment. Such lucky kids. Imagine if they play hide and seek in there 😹
I have seen willow furniture that sprouted...
I was already in love with the chateau itself after the last video and now this!! Such a magical little paradise 😍✨
The chateau is such a beautiful place so may hidden treasures loved watching.
The poor dog is desperately trying to get a game of throw the ball.
I know. I wished I would not have noticed because it ate at my subconscious the entire video
He sure was a playful dog, and with the owner's children he must get lots of play time.
Dogs can’t run repeatedly or it would get over heated ..dogs must learn some restrictions being a English springer spaniel ,as they can drive you mad, with their constant need for ball throwing.
@@susanbrown2909 I think the dog is a Small Munsterlander, I have one too.
It's all wonderful, but that folly! Please restore the folly - it's one of the best parts of the estate!
It looks like a "folly:" a 19th century architectural edifice that was whimsical, usually built in a garden for secret rendezvous.
I was thinking it might be a play house for kids, but a folly is probably more likely.
They built follies earlier than that too. You see alot from 18th century landscape renovation for the English n Scottish manor houses
"A lot less sarcastic than Dan the gardener" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I burst out laughing at that
I have to say that this is probably one of my favorite videos! The filming, and even when Steph was far away, she had a mic with her, and it’s so professional, and pure, like a real reality series where Steph goes exploring castles and chateaus 🥰great editing too. Usually I never comment like this cause I’m lazy 😂 but what a joy to watch both this and the first video of the castle!
Lazy but honest. I can respect that. Yes, it was well done, great editing, sound, content. 🌺💐
Absolutely stunning grounds, incredible the history you can see everywhere. Just love it! ❤️
Absolutely lovely hard to believe there are places like that still being lived in❤️
Beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your amazing home. But, Stephanie and Phillip....oh my words you two! You're killing us! You're too stinking cute of a couple, what with your castle home and antique hunting and animals and artistic pursuits and joint labors and romantic travels, it almost hurts. ❤️ Keep up the good work.
What a gorgeous castle and out buildings. He's a handsome man and has the perfect warm personality to be host. Thank you for making such a comprehensive vlog.
They are a lovely couple!
Hahaha you two paddling home was the perfect ending 😂 And what STUNNING grounds! 😲
Why don’t they enlist the aid of a groom volunteer to help restore the stables and horse riding. Let him live on the property in exchange for his/her time. Proceeds from tourist could be split!
That would be an amazing feature -maybe carriage rides. It’s so beautiful!
Yes:because there may be people who wish to go riding or have coach rides out or around the grounds.
Lots of trails to ride around on the property, too!
People pay lots of money to board their horses. Horses are also expensive and time consuming to keep. If a horse trainer were allowed operate a business and board their horses here and rent them out to guests it would protect the owner legally. The owner could have access to horses without the work and hassle as well as gain income and appeal. Plus horses are just magnificent animals to have around. To watch trainers work with them is extremely entertaining. Just a thought.
That chick is called naked neck of Transilvania, originally from Romania
Lovely property the owners are fantastic. The unmowed tall grass to the bees and such would be wonderful with wildflowers strewn thru there. The bee's would love it! If it had to be mowed for a wedding maybe some of the flowers would come back.
Okay, first of all, Phillip is a good, good soul! Really grown to just love his sweet heart! Second, this vlog was awesome! Loved it so much I’ll have to watch again, if nothing more than for the beautiful ending! Thirdly, I wish everyone with gorgeous stables loved horses as much as I do! 😁
Wow! Those buildings were beautiful, especially the run down one. What a romantic property. I love how he has used the willows! Makes me want to try in my yard.
omg.....sooooo pretty...thank you everyone.... at some point it looked like a Monet painting :)
What a simply lovely castle.
the folly was so nice thank you I would Love to see it fixed up. Glass and a good clean.
I really admire this castle in and out but then again I have always loved neo gothic architecture. It seems well-suited to this lovely young family, I plan to see it in person one day
Of all Stephanie has visited, this is my personal favorite.
A spectacular chateaux, outbuildings, gardens, everything!! I have been watching Amaurri's channel for some months now, and his charm, good nature & calmness won me over!! His sweet wife & children are a bonus!! Thank you, Stephanie and Philip for sharing & spotlighting this wonderful, historic property with us!! Job well done!!! USA

@Marlene Sistrunk The Secret Garden is one of my favorite books!!
@@meeganaschen8388 I’ve only seen the films ..PBS
@Marlene Sistrunk the 1993 film is my favorite version!! The cinematography is stunning and the score is lovely. It’s well cast and acted!
What an amazing place! Hope they repair the beautiful things that need to come back to life, because they are too nice to let go.
Castle ten Berghe is one of the most beautiful places you have been. LOVED the outing on the boat. LOVE from Chicago
THAT FOLLY WAS STUNNING!!! IT NEEDS URGENT RESTORATION OMG!!
Incredibly stunning. That walk..so many wonderful hidden gems
Usually I don't comment on videos but I just have to thank you for the joy and happiness you bring with every video. It always makes my day when you upload something new! Lots of love to all the "Lalanders" 💕💕💕
Stephanie, thanks so much for showing us other gorgeous châteaux. You are an excellent tour guide!
Stephanie, the stables at Biltmore in Asheville, NC near us, have been turned into the Stable Cafe, where you have a booth in each stable area. The tile walls, windows, are all original. Other stables and rooms have been expanded to house a variety of gift shops.
that's a great idea.
I actually work in those gift shops 😊.
I can’t believe there is such a chateau so spectacular with so many views to enjoy. Very much like a fairy tale. A film should be made with the shooting done inside and outside, a romantic, period drama perhaps?
Yes, definitely!
Thank you Amaury!!!
The music played at the beginning was what I would play to my son when he slept as an infant. This child wrote his name at 3.5 , now 21 he has recently moved out. Thank you for bringing me back to those times. Bless you.
I think Stephanie and Philip seem to be great together..They really seem happy.
So glad Phillip went to find the garden folly. Oh my goodness, that would be my happy place. It is so beautiful even in it'd decrepit state. Wonderful visit, wonderful hosts!
This vlog was absolutely magical!! That chateau!! And the owner is adorable, so kind!
I cannot get enough of this chateau!
Like a mini mental vacation. Thank you Amaury for sharing your stunning home with us. Thank you, as ever, to Stephanie and Phillip. xo
Such a stunning property. I have thoroughly enjoyed this visit. The willow enclosure so adorable. What a cute place for children to play or even adults…. The stables amazing. Nature at its best. ❤️
You should get a border collie for the sheep herding at lalande. where did you get your dress?
What a wonderful tour!
I appreciate his wonderful use of willow. Have any of you ever seen the amazing willow sculptures by Scot, Trevor Leat? He has magical willow creations.
Thank you for taking us on such wonderful adventures. You are opening door for so many. 🥰
Jane, I have not but will be researching Scots willows immediately after this vlog. I LOVE them and the memories a willow tree pulls from the recesses of my inner child. TY
@@barbibutton9619, Trevor Leats has created willow sculptures all over the UK & I became aware of him when he created a great stag for Season 4 of Outlander. He is the uncle of Sam Hueghan, the Scottish actor.
@@janewolfe9137 oh my daughter lives The Outlander series and books. I have yet to have a chance to check him out but might take a quick peak right now
Outlander series on Netflix was superb!!!
Wow! Thank you Stephanie and Philip and Amaury for a delightful video! Castle ten Berghe is beyond magnificent and truly a treat to see. It is very easy to understand why Stephanie did not want to leave. What a treat!
You are right Stephanie, this place is beautiful!
Thank you for taking us along for the ride!
Ahhhmazingly beautiful tour! My favorite bit was the folly that Phillip found. Architecturally delightful!
Stephanie, there are loads of tiny houses on UA-cam. Living Big In A Tiny House is a great channel with tons of tours.
🥰Now that would be a great project for Selmar!! 🥰 (if he had the time)
Hi Stephanie, rhododendrons like acidic soil, our likes being watered with tea and coffee grounds:)
Thanks for that information, might be the reason mine died.
Rhododendrons are poisonous to dogs and other animals. We have them all over NC in USA. Don't let pets eat them.
No shortage of Chateaus to visit and stay at in France. Looks like the menu s and views are to cleanse. Lovely tour!
Amazing!! I was just there walking behind you and enjoying every minute!
Thank you for that amazing 2 part tour of the castle! They are such a sweet family living in a fairytale!! I love the scenery as you rowed away. Stunning place at every turn!!! 💕
Stephanie, you need a dog you can travel with, one you can take into a carry on bag so it'd have to be under 5 kilos...best dog for you- a Phalene, the dog of Louis XIV...only 50 born a year in France, precious little things, and they are dancers, you have a palace of people to watch over the little being....and they love to cuddle, can spend hours on your lap while you edit, or at your feet while you sew....mine is 2.5 kilos, and the best dogs ever, also a spaniel, they have the fur longer on their ears, back of their legs and chest-tummy!!!
La Lande NEEDS a Willow Temple of Venus
The views were perfect picture postcard Absolutely wonderful
I think the chicken breed is a Naked Neck. It’s not a joke, it’s obvious where they get there name from.
I think if you cross a Necked Neck with a Silkie you can get A Showgirl.
@@bettybay2181 I believe you’re right.
@@bettybay2181 🤣🤣🤣
It would be tragic if the folly was allowed to deteriorate any further. It is beyond charming....please restore it soon! It is such a grand estate and lovely to have the tour. Thank you!
Thank you for the tour. Beautiful gardens and the stables are so impressive.
Little Ice Age happened between 1300 and 1850. For that short period of time temperatures were lower and that is why many historic depictions of frozen lakes and rivers in regions where they nowadays do not freeze exists.
Seven hours rowing, I bet your arms are tired🤠❤️
Thanks Stephanie and Philip, loved the ending :) another wonderful vlog xo
WOW!! Absolutely stunning!!! I hope to visit some day!!!
Thank you Stephanie, that was fun!🙂
I can't imagine anyone living at Castle ten Berghe needing to go on any holiday, as there is so many places to escape to in the grounds. Absolutely stunning place.
Fabulous property, home, tour and guides❤️🦋🌷
What a treat to see this beautiful place!!! Thank you!!
Beautiful chickens. No there not. Lol
Wow, the grounds look absolutely stunning 😍 😍 😍
“It’s making me want cumin cheese” I cried laughing! 😂😂😂 I love watching these adventures!
Is no one else going to mention that STEPHANIE WAS IN FLATS lolol?!? 😱😄😁😘
Beautiful! They are such a warm and friendly couple.
What a beautiful castle...how lovely to grow up there!
Thanks Stephanie and Philip for such an amazing blog. A real delight watching this and a very stunning and amazing beautiful place. Thank you🌈💕
Oh this really was especially lovely and sweet💕
So beautiful! What an incredibly well thought out estate. Did anyone get the name of the architect?
I think out of all the places I've seen this might be my favorite castle & grounds. It's such an idyllic place. So glad you were able to share it with us!
This was like a wonderful dream thank you so much.
Patiently waited all week for this second tour and it did not disappoint! Stunning property :)
Very good and wise, Stephanie! If you don’t have time for a dog, it isn’t fair to the dog. ❤️
The dog would not have to be a "Stephanie" dog, he could just be a "Chateau" dog. There is always someone there from what I have seen and if he were a smart dog, after time he could learn to prepare his own meals and let himself in and out. Done!
@@JackL75 Which dog can prepare his own meal ?
@@yseultm5656 Like I already said, the smart ones. Also, I know he would have to be a larger dog or he would not be able to reach the door handles to let himself out.
No pressure.just an occasional wild life glimps. Love it
Stefanie should plant more fruit trees around the chapel, they stay relatively small so no danger for the Chapel and she will get more fruit. A few well placed nut trees would be a good idea too.
Some plantings around the Chapel that are decorative all around the sides and back of the chapel at LaLande to balance the height would be lovely-perhaps a live willow arch as an entrance or an arch with climbing flowers!
@@milmom4281 an arch with climbing flowers would be magical! As a sort of entrance into the forest! Imagine in the spring all the fruit treese in bloom and an arch im tge summer covered in flowers!
That was amazing such a beautiful place thank you
This was a wonderful place and I really enjoyed every bit of the fabulous tour. I’m pretty sure that the little mower for the forecourt should be named, “Dan?” Because every Chateau needs a Dan! The orchard mower could be named “Quincy?” Thank you all, Susan.
So glad we got to see the folly. How romantic! Please restore it😌
I’m in love with this beautiful place and dream to stay there and meet its equally delightful inhabitants. Horses in the stables for riding, would be the icing on the cake. Thank you for sharing and letting us know of this very special and magical place in the the world.
So glad we could enjoy some time here with you and Phillip. What an amazing property 😱 Can’t wait to see more. Thank you
Philip has an excellent eye! Love that little building at the end!!
Could it be a tea house? Here in America, back around the turn of the century, rich families build buildings similar to that and they were called tea houses. Socialites...tea parties. Possibly?
Love the bicycle built for two!!!! This is a wonderful video. Thank you for this trip!!!!!!! Love from Vermont
It's a tandem.
Much effort, much love, and much dedication has gone into the preservation of this beautiful chateau. Such a lovely and inviting place.
That was just so lovely, thank you for the tour.
Brugge is one of the most beautiful places that I’ve ever seen, and to know this lovely Chateau is there, makes it even more special💕
loved this vlog; is anything more precious than watching Phillip and Steph paddling along a Monet painting.
Oh my, wouldn't a few of those cabins be lovely around the laLande lake and along the forest path?!?! With a wood burner the rental season could be longer. Another idea for the list! 🌳🌲🐦🌿🌼🌸🌳
I bet Selmar could build it! 🌞🌼🌸🌳
No doubt the wooden building would be the perfect tiny house project, the gothic styling with a bit of modernist design turned full-fledged tiny house would be a year-round booked AirBnB! I seriously doubt it wouldn't be booked all the time.
I absolutely loved this! ❤🎉And when you both, Philip and Stephanie, went on the boat, it looked like you were inside a watercolor painting! I hope you have a picture of that, it should be framed! ❤
I thought this video of the gardens was absolutely delightful and sweet! I loved every single moment, and it is very much my style of gardens! Thank you so much for sharing this video with us! Well done indeed! And I was very pleased to 'meet ' the lady of the castle, what a beautiful woman!
This is the finest most interesting castle and outbuildings I have ever seen. Was-Laa as we say in Chicago!! haha
I was worried that Stephanie could get her skirt caught in the wheel of bike! But she did well, they both did!
It is time for Phillip to make his own nature vlog. I love his ethuiasm!
@joke I agree with you. The footage especially the ones on the woodland animals edited by him is impeccable and nicely done. I would see him having his own successful UA-cam channel that would make David Attenborough proud.
If he sees this I would love to subscribe to his channel. The ball is in your court Phillip. You are so good at those wildlife videos. Give it a thought and let us know if you are interested in doing it.
Beautful video and chateau. Wonderful tour with fantastic woods. A small B/B or Treehouse or Folly in the woods. Patrons plan a project soon please! I still love the idea of an orangey by the lake for Lalande. 😘😘😘
Absolutely wonderful video The gardens and the out buildings I just amazing Thank you to the owner he was fabulous what a fairy tail.!!!!!
It is so wonderful that Stephanie does these tours of other people's chateaux to help promote them and so that they get more subscribers and hopefully more business when things open up. I've been following Amaury and his charming family for the last year and he really could do with some more subscribers so if you've not seen his channel yet then you really should take a look.
JMK you are totaly right. To be honest, if Stephanie would not mind, they could post in a month or so, those two vlogs on @Castle ten Berghe chanell. I don't know if it is possible ligally, but that I think might help them, too. Just an idea.
@@karolinag2012 - He's got a premiere on right now as I type.
I watched it👍. So much work.
This just unlocked a memory - we had one of those willow huts at my primary school and it was one of my favourite places to be!
I really must go stay at Amaury's lovely castle! When we can manage to get to Europe again, I will go there for a few nights. What a lovely person Amaury is! And I love Bruges. This tour was really nicely done, so thank you, Amaury, Steph and Phillip. 🤗
Well, now I know where to stay on our next trip to Belgium! What a fun tour!
