Technically nowhere...the dog needs to be born in Turkey to be registered as a Kangal. I have two Anatolians that have Kangal lineage and I was humbled talking with experts on how serious the country takes these pups. You can import from Turkey but they usually allow far less than 100 per year to export legally and even thier litters' don't have the right to be registered as Kangal. Amazing majestic animals though.

I read more than once about the information that the origin of the Kangal dog dates back to the Kurdish regions, especially in Iraq, and there is still a dog of this type in one of the Sulaymaniyah regions, and it is very old. Over there, what do you think!!! Thank you

Yup they have a more rounded head whereas the Anatolian Shepherd is more narrow.

My Grandad had Kangal herd dogs on Cyprus in the 1950/60s his favorite he called Tarzan. Lived outside and slept in the barn/slept with the sheep.
A great insight into these amazing breeds. The Kangal truly has a special look. I now know many get wrong what a true Kangal looks like. Thank you.

Hello! I have one question about "panter kangals -and normal kangal" What is diferent?
Panters are bloodline and their.phenotypes and Temperament are % 70 differrent.for me they are not True kangal.Not True working Lgd.
