I attended a concert for this tour, I remember this song really well as the whole row of stadium seats where I was sitting was rocking back and forth so hard we all thought it was going to break, lol
Van Halen I don't think ever heard it. He wrote it for his own solo album but his old bandmate in Montrose was Heart's drummer and they both thought the song would be perfect for Ann's vocals. There is a demo of Sammy singing it floating around on UA-cam somewhere, and it's very similar to this except with his vocals. I didn't care for some of Heart's later stuff but I don't know how anybody can not like this album. Literally the worst song on it was the biggest hit, and if you throw away that song the rest of it is crazy good. I think the critics all heard that song about the hitchhiker and just didn't give the rest of it a chance. I probably wouldn't have either if I didn't listen to Z-ROC who played all the heavier songs from it back then.
Ummm. I am puzzled how I never heard this?! 1990? Huh. Guess I was loving Garth Brooks and heading into my country phase, but still... I am disappointed in myself! Thanks for exposing this gap and bringing this into my life! It's like a little time machine. Lol. Ann Wilson. Goddess of Rock! ❤️
Written by Sammy Hagar, Denny Carmassi and the excellent Jesse Harms (who used to be in Sammy's solo band)! Ann sang the sh#t out of it! (Nancy and band, too)
This album has been horribly under estimated for far too long. 🤨 Glad you are doing it justice Sir. 😀"out under the sky" and "Secret" are better that most. 🤔No duds here anyway.👍 Have fun and be well.😉
OK, I'm just cross checking on some of my favorite subscriptions and my favorite songs - I can't find "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" by Meatloaf anywhere. Actually I don't see any Meatloaf at all - (I really apologize if I'm just old and not seeing what's right in front of my face.). Well, if you haven't done it yet then you really should check out the official video. Loved your reaction to Free Bird ! Check out Gimmie Three Steps too!
Suggestion: My Crazy Head off Desire Walks On. There's a line in there that poetically refers to a woman's orgasm(s)😁 "You're there inside me in my dreams Sexy poems, cinematic scenes Shattered lullabies unfold, sweet suggestions I have never known Pull down the shades turn off the light Oh my love we're all alone tonight Shadow dancing in slow-mo For your eyes, I will let it show You can FEEL ME GLOW Baby love me out, love me out of this world No alibis no more regrets You're my wayward angel You're my saving grace Sanctify my crazy head"❤️
I am fan of Heart and I would like an explanation of this song, I love Heart but i am A Christian. My language is Spanish. Please if Heart is anti Christian I will break all my CDs
You have won me over with all the Heart you play. Rock on!
The drummer Denny Carmassi also wrote it. He was in a band called Montrose with Sammy Hagar in the 70s.
And that "Montrose" album is superb.
Love all if your Heart reactions. Glad you see what a phenomenal singer Ann Wilson is and group Heart uis!!!❤❤
I see your face when she starts singing and I wonder how was she left off Rolling Stone's 200 greatest singers.

My favorite heart songs are “straight on“ & “kick it out“
Heart was the female version of led Zepplin. Massive talent.
The whole "Brigade" album is great.
I've been listening to Heart since they first came out in 1975 or 76...never heard this though...sounds great!
How was this not a radio hit? How did I miss this? This is a wonderful rocker What a great gift from Sammy Hagar! Wonder if Van Halen passed on this?

So feminine, yet so powerful and raspy, her voice is an instrument.

I loved "Secret" off of "Brigade",it was the 4th single released.
OMG! I love this song! I'm so glad someone is reacting to it! One of my favor albums from them, and one of the few I listen to from beginning to end.
I love this album! I had the cassette so I wore it out!
Deep cut Heart song. Cool! Never heard this one before.
Awesome ❤
Never heard this. I can definitely hear the Hagar touch in this because it has similarities to his turn with Van Halen. Of course, the vocals slay.

btw, the two ladies you have pictured on the link for this video aren't Ann and Nancy. Not sure who they are.

You NEED to watch brigade live Mountain View..guitars are much heavier and Nancy rocks the shit out out of the electric, phenomenal!

"You're there inside me in my dreams
Sexy poems, cinematic scenes
Shattered lullabies unfold, sweet suggestions I have never known
Pull down the shades turn off the light
Oh my love we're all alone tonight
Shadow dancing in slow-mo
For your eyes, I will let it show
You can FEEL ME GLOW
Baby love me out, love me out of this world
No alibis no more regrets
You're my wayward angel
You're my saving grace
Sanctify my crazy head"❤️
