      Awww Blue! That’s so nice to hear. I give everyone of my designs the same high level of rigour. I absolutely love designing gardens to get people gardening and using/enjoying them daily. So all my work has that at the forefront. I’m glad that comes across. To me it’s not about winning each show but really giving the clients something incredible (hopefully) to consider! Challenging what they thought they may want. Glad you’re enjoying it! Happy gardening n🥷🤘🌿 Lee

    I am relatively new to your You Tube channel, but l am learning so much from your knowledge about planting and how to be more patient!
    I have quite a narrow long border in the back garden, but that has been in for many year's now and l don't have the physical strength anymore to start altering it. If l had the money l could get someone who knows what they are doing in, but l think it is going to have to be someone else's project!
    I am going to go out and look at my border and the patch of garden outside my kitchen window and take your advice about not having so many different plant's and just do a repeat of plant's.
    I am going to be sharing your video with my family and friends.
    Thank you for all your advice.
    PS l think it was wise for you to explain to people that to keep Bee's you do need to be taught by the Professional Bee Keeping people.
    I had cause a while ago to contact the Bee Association, because l had a problem (forget what it was) however they were very helpful.
    Keep well.

    Hi Lee, I wonder if you could give me some advice please. We have a gooseberry bush in our garden (planted by the previous owner). It looked very healthy earlier this year but all its leaves were suddenly gone by midsummer. I'm not sure if that was normal. I took the opportunity to prune it etc (thanks to your video). But anyway, to add color in my border, I am thinking of replacing it with a David Austin rose or planting one next to it. Do you think it's a good idea? TIA

    • @Gardenninja
      @Gardenninja  8 місяців тому

      Hi. Sounds like gooseberry sawfly which can decimate a bush within a matter of days. Have a look here for more guidance www.gardenninja.co.uk/how-when-to-prune-gooseberries-beginners-guide-for-improved-fruiting/ 🥷🌿🤘

    Lee, is what you said re the gooseberry bush (take off anything older than 2 years, cut back by 1/4 to an outward facing bud) good for currant & blueberry bushes too?

    • @Gardenninja
      @Gardenninja  2 роки тому +1

      Cahill Tiff. Currants and blueberries fruit on 2nd year old wood so yes. Any wood over 4 years should be in stages cut back to the main stem to allow for new wood to regenerate as they become unproductive. Hope that helps! Lee 🥷🤘🌿

    Hi Lee, I’m new to your channel and absolutely loving it. I have a question I hope you can help me with. My garden space is not very big and is on quite a slope with 8 big boulders at the bottom (presumably to keep all the soil from falling down). It’s very difficult for me to navigate my way through although I have managed to plant some fabulous plants in it, I just wondered if there’s a cheap way to level the garden out without covering the rocks at the bottom. I’d love to have a flat garden and really get stuck in.

    • @Gardenninja
      @Gardenninja  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Tea. To be honest why not work with it? Flat gardens have a habit of looking one dimensional. So at least you’re already starting with a dynamic level! I’d work with it rather than the expensive of large scale soil removal which would also damage your soil structure. One top tip is to always add a few small garden trees to help raise height. If you want more detailed personalised help checkout my online garden consultation offering here! www.gardenninja.co.uk/garden-advice/ 🥷🤘🌿 Lee

      @@Gardenninja Thanks Lee. To be honest I bought a tree today, a euonymus japonicus to try and give it some height. It’s a bit like a lollipop and quite nice. Maybe I just need to enjoy what I’ve got instead of trying to making it hard work.

    • @Gardenninja
      @Gardenninja  2 роки тому

      Exactly Tea! That’s the best way to garden in my experience. You’ll get more success working with it than against it and it will make you a more innovative gardener! 🥷🤘🌿

    Man good to see how your garden is evolving! Also a question Lee..i noticed my Hawthorn starts to get yellow leaves here and there but i dont know if thats natural (like how pines sometimes shed needles to make way for new ones) or something to worry about..my weeping willow has it too for years now but also with some young branches thst just partially die off..i hope you can tell me if trees also naturally shed leaves sometimes or that they should keep the leaves their growing all season long. Kind regards and thanka in advance
