I think charanga flute makers will make a charanga piccolo that will be playing in its first, second, and third octaves. It'll look similar to the charanga flute but shorter. It'll be innovative!!!!!
Wouldn't that change the timbre though? I bought a piccolo initially in the late 1990s but it didn't have the right sound.

I made my own - I transcribed parts off recordings and arranged numbers for my own band Charanga del Norte - took ages!
