2003 at the moment of writing this 😄 I’m on a taller side when it comes to table tennis. This has 2 natural consequences: (1) it’s harder for me to move around quickly and (2) I have got a naturally bigger swing on my shots as my arms are longer that adds to the power. So I guess you’re right! So, I was lazy to move around so I went for big shots instead - too bad they didn’t tell me 2100s can block them 😄
Hey Thanks! In this video I was using stiga legacy carbon + stiga dna hybrid XH on both sides, unboosted. I've never boosted my rubbers actually. Stiga legacy carbon felt fine, but I feel it might be a bit too fast for me, so I'll probably stick to my "main" blade - stiga dynasty carbon with either dna hybrids (XH or H), tibhar K3s or DNA platinums (XH or H). And I use same rubbers on both sides in general.
Thank you! It wasn’t that easy though 😄 in fact I’d say it was much harder than it looks! because (1 - technical) a lot of effort goes into making high quality shots that earn me those points (not only physical, but subconscious analytical and decision-making work to first figure out what spin and how much of it the incoming ball has and then choosing a shot and direction) and (2 -psychological) it was the first real opportunity for me to win a tournament outside my home club, so I didn’t quite have the comfort of “just another walk in the park” and was just trying to not lose the focus I had. Point (2) is particularly difficult as I failed to do that in my recent tournament at Princeton pong where I lost in semis of u2100 there leading 11-7,11-7,10-8 eventually losing in 5 sets…table tennis is hard… 😫😄 but fun! so I am happy that I managed to win it that time and not taking it for granted
Congrats on your first tournament title outside your home club! Very well deserved!!
thanks man!
Partidazos! Qué bueno! 🎉
Great playing!
Thank you !
your footwork is not good, but both your forehand and backhand are pretty solid. 2000+ player for sure.

Wow!
What equipment (rubbers and blade) are you using? And are they boosted? Backhand is solid

Poor Derek got destroyed by your backhand.
Thanks! Shots went in, it was a good game for me
Great job, the final looked way too easy for you
