True Hip-Hop Stories: The Homeless Emcee
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 кві 2009
- This is the story of a homeless rapper I met on the streets of Brooklyn. I feel for him because it's quite obvious he suffered a great deal as a child. I don't agree with how he lived his life but everyone deserves to be forgiven.
* Adult Language
I feel he is the living version of how hip hop was and should be now but it ain't right now. Cause a lot of stuff he was saying was true about hip hop today.
word
Real shit
I literally just spoke with him this morning and he showed me this video. I've actually known this guy for a few years now. Ran into this guy at a Hiphop. He rides up on his bike as we were congregated outside recording a Cypher, politely gets off, joins the circle and begins destroying people. I was like wtf, who is this guy? This guy is the truth off the top of the dome. Since then I always take time to stop and speak with him whenever I see him around the city. He has his problems but he's a good guy at heart.
can u tell me his name
Wedoitfortheloveofmusic oh damn son, seriously? id love to meet him . much knowledge there inside ths brother.
Where's he at now ? You got his contact info ?
man if I could put him on I would. its sad that ppl only stop and speak but won't put him on. stop and talking don't mean shit, helping him would mean the most. Its fucked up that no one is willing to take a chance and help him he has a money voice. Stop just speaking and help the man.
"Walk in my shoes, hurt your feet. Then you'll know why I do dirt in the street."-DMX
Real, Quality Hip-Hop has the ability, more so than any other music genre, to uplift and tell a story of the human spirit. Nothing is more evident than this video. Truely Enlightening. I watch this video every so often to remind myself of this fact.
reminds me of DMX when the dog do his story telling tracks
Jeremee Prioleau I was feeling that same vibe
Jeremee Prioleau I was just thinking that yo
Yeah he is like a DMX . That raw emotion
The video was a beautiful work but when the cameras stop rolling what was done o change my brother's life???? Now that's true talk!!!!
Watched this in 2009. Im still here watching again. This man really inspired me in dark days. I can only give a salute to him 💯
The streets don't love nobody!!!
abu jabreel tht is indeed true .
Word
No doubt....he's one of the coldest emcees withtout a record deal because he spitin the real
He definitely got some skills with the rhyme, he's got a lot of depth! If the man did pass away then Rest In Peace, I believe he deserved more than this.
feel like crying. hope to God this guy get's off the streets
This is a fucking mazing man. You see at 5:24 when he says "...that's where Hip Hop comes in."...The dude's face lit up. You could see him smile and that shit brought a tear to my eye. Such passion for the art and the realness that is Hip Hop. I have never seen struggles like this dude, but I feel for him & I know in Hip Hop, and in all that is true, we are brothers. He has the same passion for Hip Hop as I do. I admire his love for the art! I wish him all the very best & may he find happiness!
I pray god has something in store for u!! God bless u my g!
Dudes story makes me cry so hard to lose your mom at 8 and to be homeless since you was a kid keep ya head up bro good times are coming on the herizon
This dude story has always inspired me to come at life harder.
I've seen this video when it first came out and I still manage to come back and watch it from time to time.
Thats the hunger and real soul of rap. Fuck pop radio. True expression.
deep story, been in this man shoes.
The industry doesn't promote homeless people. It's a sad reality, but true.
Trying to say: With production and a work on his craft, he can make it.
Thank you allowing us to peep into these eye's of those we call legends.
i ain't heard lyrics this ill since Dmx & Rakim , he may be homeless but as an artist he's the truth !
Sudden Death-The Homeless Emcee is the truth! Man, I wish someone give that brother an opportunity because he has alot to say. D, thanks for interviewing homeboy. We always hear about who made it, but never the voice of the people who didn't. Peace!
Keep doing what you're doing D,Nice, your picture painting, "Lyrical,Graffitti" you create, bring forthcoming through video/audio is no doubt entertaining but also informative of our Rap heroes of old and what is to come. Love you for that. PEACE.
Can we make him a go fund me to get him some studio time
Yes indeed... I'll do the hooks for him seriously
I found him in Miami Florida.
I work for a creative director
Let’s do something for him ?
@@Artofsound777 so he is alive and well! Thank God
@@Artofsound777 you still about this?
People just love to judge when we should stop judging and keep helping people think oh if I help that person's going to use that money for drugs or alcohol well that's on them not us keep doing God's will every little bit helps don't always have to be money can be canned goods clothing I hope this man is doing well and pray that God will get him back on his feet thank you for sharing this video❤️🙏
i hope my man stayed positive and got off the streets cos he got real talent and a story to tell that can help others, he deserves some fortune after what he's been through
He's living the life he knows. YOu can't be mad at him for being a survivor. This is one of the best you've done. very controversial, real and no bullshit about it. i respect this dude. he's stronger than most of the dudes who have a good life. I hope one day he does catch a break. He needs one.
Great job D nice! God bless you and this brutha who let us into his world of madness and inspiration!
God Bless this man. He has had a hard life. So Much Pain and rejection. People like him need love and understanding. I will pray for you...
what part of ny is he in?...he's very transparent and clairvoyant...he shows resilience...shit i would let him stay with me if i lived in NY...i hope hes doing good and if you need a place to stay i can get you to texas in a few months and help get you back on your feet...hit me up if you ever see this
Barbosa Dunkin Brooklyn
Someone SIGN HIM
This dude is a survivor and has lived many lives already, his story of life and struggles day to day could really change alot of people's lives, I hope god gives him the chance to do so.
This is inspiring, I just sense complete HIPHOP in him.He has had a hard life, and he still thinks about the positive. I pray for him the best of luck.
This man is full of knowledge! Positive thats true! Don't give up! Peace
I shoulda subscribed after I saw the Special Ed joint, but this 1 sealed the deal. GOOD STUFF... on some REAL HIP HOP ISH.
In NY, hardly anyone slows down to listen to someone if they're in a rush. You never know what people need to do, who they need to see. "Excuse me miss or sir" usually follows with them asking for something I can't help them with. It must be sad to have to continuously ask for things from people though. People look down on you. Sometimes, it is worth it to stop and answer back though.
God bless you brotha keep ya head up I’m praying for you I can’t even imagine what that must be like to have your moms die at 8 and to be on the streets this shit makes me count my blessings keep ya head up bro shit will get better for you you need a record deal ASAP cause you talented
If this guy got off the streets and came in the hip hop game straight raw, he could definitely change how the rap game is today. Other rappers would be terrified to battle him. He has a lot of different styles and can switch it at will.....
This dude don’t have a deal as talented as he is this is true Hip Hop Keep ya Head Up brotha you’ll be ok fam just stay foccussed stay positive
Sign this guy! His voice, his dialogue showcasing the two different voices, his experiences (walking over bodies as a kid!), the selling, the bids, losing mom, no dad, 7 kids no time shared, I'm guessing no mental health care, the sense of solitude and isolation and the dissatisfaction of not just his life, but of feeling that hip hop has lost its, it's, it's just lost!
His story could be a movie and it should be! Although there are people who have possibly suffered more than him, the hip hop factor adds a unique twist, especially because he's so good. I would just hope it ends in a record deal and that he takes care of himself, commits to his duties as a loving father and MANAGES his money this time!
Does anyone know who his voice resembles a little?
Dude has a since of awareness! God Bless!
This was fire dawg.
A real rapper breathing right here!...hope things change for the better for him!
Powerful video. I can't believe this guy hasn't been discovered. Yeah he's homeless and has less of a chance meeting record execs, but dude has major skills. His ryhmes are so profound.
Watched this years ago, god knows where this talented man is right now but hope hes healthy an out of the streets
These are the real stories….. working with formerly homeless from veterans to young men like this…. Stay humble ✊🏾💪🏽👑🌹💐💋🙏🏾
Thank you for sharing D-Nice
Yo D, this is Gold! BET shorts my dude. Holla at 'em with this one!
seriously deep video. feel for his situation. Hopefully its not all dark ahead, he got rhymes, hope someone with influence sees this and picks him up.
Stay strong Sunn! Ah feel ya pain!!
4 years ago and i feel everything this man is saying to this day, i cant relate to what this mainstream artist are saying (who really does) and hip hop is my therapy, respect to that man most def, wish i could meet him
Good look D-Nice! This brings everything of hip hop back to level ground. Hip Hop is therapy! On another note, we need to just pray for dude right now. Dude is nice though...
IMO it would be a good idea for a real producer to sit down and work with this guy, to get him to do a concept album based on his own life, really keeping it real and giving his stories to the people, think it would be far more interesting than most of today's rappers, raise awareness of what pitfalls etc the game, hustling etc, can do to your life...good vid
hey people, throw a prayer in the air for this guy. "my kids come first"..... he said it all right there. i hope he still breathin.
great stories...
cheers
LyricalQuest, I couldn't agree with you more. This guy should not be homeless. I could feel his raps. I can relate to his his raps. He should battle lil'wayne for record deal.... He has my vote...... Oh yeah D Nice could we see more of the homeless rapper? And thank you for this and all of your work.
man this dude needs a record deal and needs to make a movie of him...real talk!!
This guy is deep and a real MC, GOD Bless.
Powerful
Yo!!!!!!!! I'm speechless this is the realest thing I've ever seen
Man this video breaks my heart i swear.. he reminds me of someone i know.. i can't let it happen.
"You find out who your real friends are when you're fucked up."
That quote has stayed with me for years.
This guy has skills this what we need again. This is real hip hop.
My prayers go out for you, my brother. I believe God has you in holding right now, but when he releases you, it will be phenominal. Hold your head up, and be encouraged, because God hasn't forgotton you. You're a star, that is about to give off a bright light.
He should be on! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🎧🎤👀 Been years since I first watched this video.
This guy is for REAL. I would buy his album yesterday.
I always heard of him on some rakim songs battle . this is some sad story .im so sorry life was rude to you.
that instrumental in the back was used by premier for a group home joint if im not mistaken
WOW! Damn, somebody give this dude another chance to catch his breath. He could be a cold ghostwriter.
Talented!
...that's real.
BTW, The cinematography and editing was flawless.
i pray 4 this man and everyone else
Bless you
Wow! I haven't heard real hip hop like this in a whiiiiiiiile! This man needs an opportunity. Hope a door opens for him if this video hasn't. Any updates on Sawed Off?
The ultimate "when keepin it real goes wrong". You can hear in his voice he's still going in the wrong direction. Calling people jackasses, criticism, all the weakening traits. People stay away from beggars who are polite because they know its a sham. And him callin ppl jackasses validates how they treat him. It is what it is
Reminds me of DMX
true dat..
Just listening to this guy, it reminds me that rap can be taken seriously.
It's too commercialised, this is from the soul.
Need an update on this guy. Hope he is doing better now
Jada kiss said "why is there a brother up north better than Jordan who didn't get that break" Good looking D-Nice,glad to see that you're still pushing. just when u think you're doing bad always know there's someone going thru something way worst then your troubles
i think its pretty ill actually, there are many yes and maybe he is there voice, talent is every where. this is REAL underground hiphop. im blessed to have heard i hope you can go find talent on your streets and help them get up! blessings homie.
i feel for him..though... i also feel for hip hop,
i'm out "here"..so to speak..and i'm releasing
'bits' from the heart..the streets..and B.S. brings
talent as well as pain from our souls and veins
wherein hip-originates and surely remains
PEACE..BROTHA.
Now thats what i call flow and talent
What is that music in the background?? makes this video seem like some sorta joke. This guy is legit, turn that circus shit off
Sounds like rza shit
I hope my man is still alive and doing well. I hope D Nice did him a solid and got him some help and off the street. That brother has a lot of talent. That being said, if he didn't have the talent would we all be commenting? We need to take better care of each other.
He's speakin hip hop greatness, idk where he at now but someone hit him up, NAS!
@southsideStrong I do feel for this guy..IF he's honestly trying to change his life for the better but I also agree with your comment.. good point
Been here plenty of times ! And his story the same, damn near .
tho im on vocals mainly, I feel this to the bone. if you see him again tell him to hold on to his grind ! Bless u brotha n know some of us really do know the truth of this world and the people in it ! we are human we make mistakes . but being human also mean we can fix it. Peace
This is more than just about rap. This is sooo sad, I hope he got some real help. Money is only the beginning of his needs.
Deep. 20th time watching this.
Recompense is something else.
This is the heart of struggle.
"wanderin why my bullets aint hittin nuthin am i about to die"? priceless
My heart goes out to ya man
Damn did he get a deal yet or job? Damn !!!!!! Dude got skills too he can be a ghost writer straight up. You never know he might bring Hip Hop back!!!!
In a self made hell. Hope he keeps striving to pull himself out of it. His mind seems clear and sharp. Forgive yourself, and share the love.Hard life, poor choices. Creative soul trapped by poor choices.
i remember this vid hes talented i wish him all da best
someone should sign this brotha on. rap is so jacked up right now they wouldn't know what to do with something real.
I really wanna meet this dude. I just wanna hear his full story and I wish I could help change this dude's life for the better.
See,even when u down in the gutter, you got skillz! LIFE! you never know where you end up!!
This had my heart racing. Where is he now?
Wow that's deep I'm glad all the stuff he did is behind him now hip hop is his medicine...ppl don't judge him
Pain makes great art.
Dude prolly got a grammy in him.
Damn B I feel his pain I hope he good now
