So a month ago I saw the same type of video and my headlights for 10 times worse. I used Mother's Mag and aluminum polish . I didn't even wash them, i just put it on the rag and cleaned them with a clean towel . They came out beautiful. In fact i put on a second coat waited 5 minutes and i could see the scratches in the lens . So a month later, they still look great! 2002 Camry im driving btw . Also i did the bottom fog lamps that were white, the only way to describe them and they look brand new . I hope this helps.
This is way better than wet sanding to remove the weathered coating. You can buy one of those headlight restoration kits that come with a spray can of clear coat to apply to your lights. If left uncoated, they will weather very rapidly.
I wonder if putting a ceramic spray on the lights, after they have been cleaned, would cause them to stay clear longer? Does anyone have experience with that extra step?
Great.....for a couple of days. You have removed the plastic protective uv layer. Now it will yellow quicker and in time many small ceacks will form like a haze across the light.

I used the Mother’s as well. 🔥
Yeah and back in the day we didn't have this problem with glass headlights.
This really works. I've tried many hacks to clean my headlights . This one worked to my surprise. Thank you.
