Yesterday I was feeling the same way then I told myself “well, I did not get in this position over night so I can’t expect to get out of it overnight”. And gave myself a pat on the back for the slow progress I am making. I say 2 more years and I should be out of consumer dept. I can not wait!
    Keep going!

Sometimes I feel like you with my debt journey. It feels like I’m never going to pay it down. I pay about $1000 monthly on minimum payments alone. I put myself in this position and I fully understand that. I realized too late that my finances were a mess. I like your debt confession sheet. Can you send me the link for purchase? Have a great Saturday my friend. You can do this and so can I 💜💜

Just started my debt free journey but boy is it teaching me a real life lesson about patience & prioritization. Life happens, things changes, & adaptability is more like a necessity than a superpower right now. 😢
If it means anything, you're doing an amazing job & I'm super proud of you! ❤🎉

You are writing a new chapter in your life, it's different from before and it is easy to compare and come up lacking. Keep on keeping on, you're making exceptional progress.

Anyone that is heavily invested in their debt free journey will undoubtedly at some point reach burnout. When I went through it, I had to just stop in my tracks and go back to it. It becomes all consuming (at least for me) and I just had to reset. I reset the balance of how I was viewing myself when it came to my debt.

I can totally relate. Debt snowballs can feel like you are pushing them UPHILL, when other things get go all sideways. You will get there! Don't quit!

Personal finance absolutely reflects who we are as people.

I will agree. It REFLECTS. It does not DEFINE.

@@christinaInTexas It proves our discipline. Our self control. The tings we do and spend money on. How laid back or out of control we are. So please please tell me how I'm Wrong? Personal finance is a direct reflection of the type of people we are. Usually when we are broke it means we spend to much trying to prove ourselves to others. Or trying to fill an empty void in our own lives.

Amanda, your journey is yours, and others' opinions do not mean sh@$. I feel that financial journeys are ever changing because our incomes are always changing. This is why I love your channel. You are always real with how life is for you and not candy coating anything. You are always encouraging me to keep pushing through the rough roads of life. Big hugs ❤

😢 i was listening to your video, and you really are kind of burning yourself down😢Hope you take your own advice and stop comparing yourself now to your oldself😅 I myself am guilty of overthinking about money, and my worst mistake was listening to youtube videos with the title “how much money you should have saved by age 40”… that was a downward spiral… and i couldn’t stop 🛑 myself from watching…😅 mistake one, all the videos are American… and i live in Portugal 🇵🇹, and minimum wage here is 850€ a month… so i was completely out of touch with reality there😊 We all have our own pace, and i believe as long as we have our heads on our shoulders, and don’t take steps bigger than our legs, we all will reach our goals. Hope you have a nice weekend, and take a rest!

You are so much more than your debt and financial status. And by systematically paying off your debt you are learning so many skills, organizing, persistence, creative ways to save and make money and many other skills. You can use those skills in the future for many things. Also look at all the filming and You Tube skills you are learning. I know there are moments of frustration, but then, dealing with frustration is a skill you can, and are learning too. Keep going! Cheering for you!

Great video! Sometimes it is hard not to compare things in our lives from previous things/events, but sometimes focusing a day at a time helps and then gradually things get better. If you think about the story of the turtle and the hare eventually like the turtle wins, slow and steady wins the race even though we would prefer going faster. 🙂
I’m also thinking about doing things with your kids do you have a library nearby that does passes? My local library teams up with the bigger cities and you can get 2 kid free passes with adult tickets (I can’t remember for sure if the adult ticket has to be paid or not) once a summer to about 3 or 4 different places.

Please stop talking like that. Just remember it's always someone worse off than you. I know it's hard, but start speaking positivity in your life. You will be debt free. I pray that God gives you everything that you need. Me and my kids have been homeless for a year and a half. Moved into a house, I've been here for 3 months, and now we will be homeless again, and I don't know what to do. I don't have friends' houses to stay at, but I'm putting my trust in God. But I know you got this.

Truths. I have been where you are. I lost my apartment do to an eviction and then lost a property I thought I was buying but was a bum deal. Things happen for a reason. As long as you have food, a shelter of some kind and a way to keep your kids safe you will be ok. I pray you receive resources in your area. Don’t give up hope all is possible with hard work
