Hi Scoobs, I'm sorry in case the diagnosis gets confirmed. Scooby. I've been watching your videos for the last 15 years or so. You're an inspirational human being and your outlook on life is nothing short of admirable. Thank you.
Found your fitness videos more than 10 years ago (before a word in them was even spoken) :) and I still keep on watching and learning new valuable things. What I really like and respect is - you live by the words you say. Taking bad situations as an opportunity to turn into something even better (like with unfortunate doxxing you experienced) is a mastery of living a good life. You are a true inspiration, thank you for everything. Happy you're still making videos, keep up the good work and good luck with medical exams!
These are some of the most important things to try to internalize to keep life positive and meaningful; they're also some of the hardest for me. But I have been with you and this channel for years to help keep them in the front of my mind during difficult times, so thanks as always, and good luck with your condition.
Scooby, BPPV is very common and easily treated with some simple head maneuvers, as you said. Must have been scary if you were flying when it came on, but if that was the cause of your vertigo I doubt it will prevent you from flying once it gets better !
I get BPV--it's the reason I don't clip into my bike and have parked the road bike in favour of the hybrid. You have to celebrate the things you can do, vs what you can't. Great attitude Scoob. Stay hydrated and find a great vestibular physiotherapist.

I had debilitating vertigo years ago...I would wake up and the room would be spinning, I would puke it was so bad. The incidences were infrequent, sometimes once a month, sometimes every other month. I retired from my job, was overweight and completely changed my diet with strength training thrown in. Its been 4 years and I haven't had anymore episodes since dropping weight and diet change. I know from watching your videos you eat clean, so I hope the doctors can help you out! Good luck Scooby! Auf Wiedersehen!
I love this video! My current job makes a fraction of what I could be making if I went into financial banking but I live every day (almost) stress free and I can still save a little for the future. A lot of my friends want me to take a better offer at a bank or firm but It’s not worth losing what I have now
Scooby been a motivation for so long giving such good advice since I was a kid playing call of duty. i know same with many others here. scooby the original factual bodybuilding advice channel before everyone else amazing to see that physique at 60 years old even with testosterone therapy its still hard work
Ive also learned that mind set is the bread and butter in life. I tend to need reminders every now and then to get back on track. Wich this video actually did. Thanks for sharing Scooby, you are a real inspiration.
Great video..when you came to mention the two things that pilots need I thought the second was going to be eye sight! Of course that's a taken! Hopefully you'll be able to continue flying Dotty.
Hey scoob, long time fan and subscriber here. You said in the video that if you really enjoy doing things like working out and building airplanes you dont need motivation for it, but me and many people I know (also from forums about motivation and things like that) really struggle with that. Because I can genuinely say that even though I never regreted a workout and I really do enjoy them, its often difficult to chose something as working out over watching netflix or playing video games. I also really enjoy learning new things but I end up playing video games instead quite often. I find it very interesting that for you this doesnt seem to be the case but does that mean that there is nothing unproductive (meaning a positive long term outcome) you really enjoy so that you would sometimes fall into that instead? I imagine most people would really enjoy building a plane but in the end its difficult and hard and it will take quite some time to make progress there so this whole journey will have ups and downs but just sitting and home and smoking weed will only have ups and be much easier (of course in the long term it will have a very bad impact). Anyone has any thougts on this?
Time to build an autonomous system in to your plane! Really enjoyed the bit about your work only sucking if you let it. Many people unhappy with their work seem to be just stuck in a negative mindspace.
And also. Not flying mayb be a win in the lotery. Not having to be in the accident that might have happened. Ok, bit extreme maybe. But those small planes tend to crash more often than the big ones. As you said, you can travel around the world/US with the car as well. And you can do long hikes in nature and in cities etc.
Man this one rings home with the 60 hour work weeks. I don’t hate my job. Most of the time I enjoy it. A few rough days here and there. But it has very little stress. And it pays well to boot. As such I’m focusing heavily on paying my debt off. Once that’s over I plan on saving for an early retirement. Should be debt free besides my mortgage by mid this year. So victory is definitely in my grasp.
If I was doing jobs around the house and I suddenly thought….. hmmm this is the last time I’m gonna be able to do this job. I would stop doing that job and go for a bike ride immediately 😂😂😂
You get in a car car crash and become a quadriplegic. THEN you would give ANYTHING to be blessed enough to be able to clean a toilet. Laugh now smarty pants.
Yes, look for internal motivation that makes you feel good, but with that being said, how do you draw the line between that and using dangerous drugs to make yourself feel good? It really isn't a far fetched, stupid question, because marijuana is legal now in states like California and has become a social norm. So how would that be different from cocaine? cause any drug can kill you if abused like alcohol and it has too has been legal for decades
Exercise makes you feel good AND its good for you. Drawing the line is pretty simple, dont do things that will kill you like taking highly addictive drugs.
I recently opened a Health Food Store with ridiculously low amount of financial investments by simply building most of the furniture myself. I also never pay for gym memberships as I always workout at home and actually have better results then before because of the convenience of exercising at home 😂. Thanks for the inspiration Scooby!
