Half bloods weren’t the worst in their eyes, it was muggleborns. Also, since Voldemort was literally a descendent of Salazar he was more than worthy in their eyes.
@@GossAug Lots of them knew him in school! When Tom Riddle was sorted, Lucius Malfoy who was a prefect at the time, welcomed him to Slytherin. And Tom began recruiting his followers in school before he changed his name (which I believe he did after he killed his father).

I actually doubt that. By doing that, he would prove the accusation to be true. That would sow the seeds of dissent and betrayal. Just because hes the bad guy, that doesnt mean he can rule purely through fear. He needs his followers to believe hes the real deal.
@Likexner every other death eater would just bow to the half blood after 😂😂😂... you can rule by fear alone as he did as long as that fear is unfathomable... can't even kill the guy nobody knows how... you can't even turn on his back... he would come back over and over again... until it would be known how to kill someone like that then that fear could rule forever 😂😂😂 people always wanna latch to great evils in life for some reason or another

While Pure Blood Purists do look down on Half-Bloods, they are at least willing to join up with them if convenient. As Hermione stated, it was only Muggle Borns that they truly despised.
Maybe it was like Hitler -- he looked nothing like the tall, strong, blonde hair, blue eyed Arians he preached for. In fact, I believe I read something of the possibility of some Jewish blood in his own heritage. But people followed him anyway.
That's exactly what I thought. People are dumb sheep that follow a theory if they benefit from it. Like when Hitler promised the Nazis they could win over the world and will have a better life by erasing Jews they jumped for it. And there are so many similarities in HP with the Third Reich. Like the Deatheaters and their pure blood shit going along with the Nazis and them being Arians, also Voldi being imperfect considering his own standards as Hitler, the order of the phoenix reminding you of people like Stauffenberg or the Scholl siblings.
There was a probability he was Jewish, but it was also possible he just had some genes from the Middle East, not neccessarily Jewish ones. And since he actually allied himself with some Arabic nations to spite the idea of Israel, then even more so.
There are so many similarities. They both wanted people to be something that they themselves weren’t, they both tried to create a “pure race”, they both discriminated against a certain group of people, they started wars, and I’m sure I’m missing some

Even if he's a Half Blood, he's the heir of Salazar Slytherin and one of the most powerful wizards to exist. As someone else pointed out, it's likely that most of them didn't know about his blood status.
It always confused me how Bellatrix called Harry a "filthy half blood" for saying Voldemort's name in the 5th movie, but the one she idolizes is a half blood himself.
She didn't know that Voldemort was a half-blood because when she calls Harry a filthy half-blood.Harry snaps back by saying, "Do you know that Voldemort's half-blood too",which she responds to by calling him a liar
Racist people exist everywhere bro in muggle world and wizardry world. Few wizards and witches hated as Muggles are the one who started harming them first in medieval time and Ancient times killing them and burning their house who are witches and wizards which forced them to hide themselves from muggle world which formed Secrecy.
@@kikaa1884 in ancient times they were pretty much the middle of society as they were seen as half gods. Hating started in the middle ages when muggle church started to blame them for everything and really got dire in 1486 with the release of the Malleus maleficarum
I'm not so sure. I read Bellatrix's reaction as meaning that she DIDN'T know Lord Voldemort was a half-blood. Harry even says, "Has he been telling you lot he's a pure-blood?" Even if Bellatrix's father-in-law, the elder Lestrange, at Slughorn's party, knew who Tom Riddle really was, it doesn't mean he knew he was part-Muggle either and it doesn't mean he'd have told Bellatrix even if he had been aware. Wormtail is the only wizard other than Harry to hear Voldemort speaking of his father as a Muggle in the graveyard before the other Death Eaters arrive and who's he going to confide in? All in all, then, I think Riddle just mentioned, vaguely, that he was an heir of Slytherin which most listeners would have taken to mean he was a pure-blood by definition, possibly he mentioned a connection to the Gaunts as well for the same reason and then used his invented name of "Voldemort" to throw people off the scent.
I have a few reasons. 1 - He was very powerful and they shared the same beliefs, so naturally they joined him. 2 - They were to afraid to speak up. 3 - He killed his muggle born relatives, and was a descendant of Salazar Slytherin and also related to Isolt Sayre.
My theory for this question is that the reason they accepted him is because he was trying to change that. They probably won’t care as long as long as Mudbloods and half bloods were no longer a thing.
Yeah, I mean he erased every person from his past, and they respect it I guess, at some point in one of the books he tells his followers to cut of the rotten branches of their family three just like he did
I think it’s because he wasn’t proud, was actively working to make wizards only pure blood and he killed all muggle relatives he had proving he didn’t like muggles
When Tom Riddle was sorted into Slytherin, it is possible others would have looked into his family history. His being a descendant of the founder of the house may have saved him froma serious beatdown. Or worse. Another story could be how Snape survived.
Tom riddle wasn't going to be beat down. He was viscous from childhood, more powerful by nature then his peers could learn to be together. I believe his only true equals among his death eaters may have been Snape, who was a double agent, and Bellatrix, the rest were pawns and servants to him. He had to much power and was to violent for them ro even think about such a thing.
yeah try telling this ridiculously powerful dark wizard who is literally immortal and violently unhinged that he's a filthy mudblood. Let's see how well that'd go over.
I've always wondered myself how he managed to get the students on his side. Presenting himself as studious would have been enough to charm the teachers, but it would have taken more for the students to respect him. It would have been interesting to see him interact with them and when they realised that this dude is clearly insane.
Think he was a bully and students just wanted to be on his side to avoid being on the receiving end of it Good idea for a prequel TV show tho Voldemorts school days
i always assumed if they knew, that him being the heir of slytherin cancelled out his muggle side, making his magical side so pure that they didnt mind him being a half blood. and the fact he hated his muggle side helped them accept him for his blood status.
I'm pretty sure fear had a pretty significant part to play in their loyalty. They alll knew he was far more powerful than all of them and none had the guts to challenge him. Doubt any ever brought his status up to his face ccause they knew he'd kill them if they did.
Can't really speak about power in the Harry potter universe, there are no measurements for that. X spell from B person = C spell from D person, except when plot calls for it. Even the wand does not seem to make a difference, even though they make it a big deal what wand they use and what it's made of. Power, or rather strength, can only really be measured by knowledge of spells and how to apply them.
@@MikeTall88 Not much of a scale no but its pretty clear in the potterverse that some individuals are clearly waaaaaaay more powerful than others, Vold/Potter/Dumbledore/Grindelwald all being examples of this, and to lesser extents people like Snape/Certain Aurors ect, there is clear indication through out the books and films that some are simply more powerful than others, Voldemort being waaaaaay more powerful than his followers is basically fact, someone like Lucius Malfoy woulda likely usurped Vold if he thought he could, Snape likely woulda killed Vold instead of Dumbledore...if he thought he was capable, they all know the killing curse, they are all capable of casting a killing curse, so what stops them? the clear indicator that Vold trumps about 99% of the witches and wizards in the franchises lore

Have you guys ever noticed in the GoF film the name on Tom Riddle Sr.’s gravestone is ”Tom Marvolo Riddle”? (Which is incorrect since Voldemort got his middle name from his grandfather on his mother’s side.)

So lestrange wasnt old enough to have been at the school the same time as Tom
At the studio tour in london, they have that gravestone as a prop. Me and my boyfriend stood in front of it for ages trying to workout how the hell that works 😂
The only reason that they accepted Voldemort: They had no choice but to accept him if they wanted their dreams to come true. Voldemort was more powerful than his entire death eater army combined, so they had to accept him.
Moreso he did seek to rid the world of those deemed Unworthy. Any ''unworthy'' who pledges their life to rid the world of the rest, is no bad half-blood to them. He wouldn't have kids of his own, and shares their hatred as though he was a pure-blood himself. He despises himself for sure due to being half, sharing ancestry with non-magical humans. The non-magical half of him holds no place to Voldemort. For such a hatred and powerful ambition in regards to that, i can understand why Pure-Bloods would follow such a powerful dark wizard. Their goals align in the end.

I've been thinking on this subject for many years now (ever since I read book 5 when it was released), it's wonderful to see that you've FINALLY done a video on this.
Video suggestion: how did voldemort 'unknowingly' and 'accidently' latched part of his soul into Harry when we know creating horcrux was an ardous and detailed task.
As far as I know, his soul became vulnerable with the amount of splitting, when hit with something as powerful as killing curse, cast by Voldemort himself, a piece of it unwillingly split apart.
The Super Carlin Brothers have a theory that he was going to create a horcrux that night so he did all the things but then when the spell with Harry backfired it turned him into one
@@kayleighjones7669 he was definitely always planning 7 because that’s the number he asked Slughorn about, so the Carlin Bro’s theory is probably pretty accurate
Yeah, almost none of the wizard blood purists seem to subscribe to the "one drop" type of ideology. Harry wasn't quite pure blood but Harry and Ginny's kids would definitely pass for pure blood to any family except maybe the ultra insane like the Gaunts. Only a few wizard families are ever described as going for inbreeding due to this ideology, most of the "pure blood" families have extensive histories of half blood ancestry.
@@michaelm.3641 I think it's about a person's bloodline rather than immediate family Look at the English royal family, for centuries they chose to breed among their cousins Harry had magical parents, but we don't know if his entire lineage has magic in it, we know Petunia didn't have magic, so it's 50/50 if Lily and Petunias parents were magical, halfbloods or just muggelborn, thus Lily would've been a product of a skipped generation Voldemort was a half blood and hated his immediate relatives for how his life and lineage became tainted, so Bellatrix wouldn't have known he was a halfblood when Voldemort was ashamed of it himself
You know whats amazing? The movie series almost exists for 20 years now and the last one finished in 2012, yet still people like this channel make content about it and talk about it. This just means and shows how well and perfect these series are developed. Amazing work to J.K Rowling and the cast and ofcourse respect to this channel to make daily content about the movie even though it ended in 2012.
I remember a line from the second film (I don´t remember if it´s said in the book as well.) In which Tom Riddle said he invented the whole Voldemort persona because he was ashamed of using his muggle name. Chances are death eaters aren´t even aware of Voldemort being a half-blood. EDIT: OH...Never mind, he does say it in the book XD
Yes many of his followers didn't knew about his real identity. Too many didn't knew he was heir of Syntherin as in Chamber of Secrets, people mistook Harry for being heir.
It would be unrealistic if at least some death eaters didn't suspect that Voldemort was not a pure blood. After all, there were relatively few pure-blood families in the UK and considering how important the blood status was to some, they would probably know each other well enough to find out that everyone, whose last name is not one of those family names, is most likely not a pure blood.
Yes, you are right. But point is not all pure blood families were elite enough. Some were poor like Weasleys. So the top most pure blood families like Gaunts, Blacks, Malfoys, Lestranges, etc would know of his true identity and being heir of Slytherin. But the point is many of them either loved him or feared him. So no point of any opposition.
I appreciate the content that you make, despite the fact that the franchise has ended. It reminds potter fans that there is more to explore and understand about the wizarding world and the people that reside in it.
Did they know he was a half blood? The first generation of death eaters most likely but I don't think Bellatrix and so on knew his blood status because she tries to stupefy Harry and she was also shrieking incoherently right after Harry told them Voldemort was a half blood. She also calls Harry a filthy half blood and before this when Harry calls Voldemort, Voldemort, Bellatrix shrieks this "You dare speak his name with your unworthy lips, you dare besmirch it with your half blood's tongue," I think certain Death eaters like Lucius knew of Voldemort's blood status but the death eaters like Bellatrix didn't.
0:00 I have always thought three thing about why the Death-eaters who knew would side with a half-blood. 1. While I can't remember what book it was in but I read that if a half-blood was so disgusted by their muggle heritage they would cut it out if they could Slytherins would accept the half-blood. And what could be considered as "CUTTING IT OUT" than terminating the life of every muggle relative like Voldemort did. 2. Being LITERALLY related to Salazar Slytherin would probably balance out the muggle blood. 3. He was just to powerful for many to confront. Now to see if we agree or not.
your theorys and explainations are so interesting its almost like every little hole in the story that we sort have thought about is here and u most probaly made a vid on it i mean ik its fiction but its still very interesting
lucius malfoy and Snape were really good friends, and we all know Snape is in fact half blood, and no way lucius didn't know about that It seems that half bloods can be accepted by pure blood supremacist if the half blood only celebrate their magical side and reject their muggle side
similar sense to how Slavic Nazis existed: by only embracing their Nazi side, they would be accepted into their ranks. not sure if there ever were Slavic Nazis, but Death Eaters are essentially the same thing
Because most Death Eaters didn’t look down on Half-Bloods or despise them that much. Half-Bloods were often viewed as legitimate Witches and Wizards by Purebloods, but sullied. Voldemort got so far because he was charming and powerful. In his Hogwarts days, his original gang knew that his real name was Tom Riddle, as well as what that implied. But they didn’t care, because he believed what they did, was the Heir of Slytherin, and had amazing magical power. He was a vehicle by which they could accomplish their goals. Later on, his use of the name Voldemort and his intimidation factor stopped any of the ones who knew his true identity from telling it to the new generations, hence why Bellatrix likely didn’t know that he was a Half-Blood or that his name was Tom Riddle.
I think there is a lot more tolerance for half bloods overall. I remember reading that the statue of Secracy was introduced to protect defenseless young witches and wizards from Muggles. However a lot of the purebloods at the time instead of hiding, wanted to rule the muggles to prevent them from harming the wizarding community. However it was eventually decided that hiding was the way to go and Magical governments made it law. Muggleborns then posed a problem as the muggle relatives of them posed an exposure risk, and a threat to the safety of not only the muggleborn witch/wizard they created, but other wizarding folk who perhaps they learn about through the child. So not only were muggleborns seen as unnatual and were thought to have stole their magical ability from somewhere (a lot of purebloods at the same time were producing squibs-maybe a side effect of marrying distant relatives) but they posed a risk to the statute of Secrecy. Two muggles producing a magical child might not have been as accepting back in the day of their child being a witch or wizard with no warning or preparation, and that could have lead to some nasty circumstances, souring the mood towards muggles further in the eye of the purebloods. Compared to a muggle/magical person having a relationship, the magic of the child from the coupling could have been seen as having been inherited from the magical parent rather than stolen, and also in the early days of the relationship the muggle in the coupling was probably eased into the magical world (and if they didn't react to it well, could be obliviated before causing any scene by the witch/wizard they are with, who could then live a lie or move on)
Putting aside my personal feelings about Magic in the HP Universe. I think like many dark and shady people, they just ignored that part of their heritage and chose to identify with something. Sometimes you can do that for neutral reasons. It is ironic though that he is technically not "Pureblood"
I know write....harry is more pure then him, at least his mom had magic I always found the whole pure blood and half blood thing to not make sense... I get that a wizard or witch with a nonmagicl partner will produce a half blood but it makes no sense if a witch or wizard getting with aka muggle born and having a child and that child is call half blood
Note on the title: It can be a little misleading, since it also asks the question of why they accepted Voldemort to BE a half-blood. To make it clearer what the video is about, it would help to cut the "as" and write "despite being" (for example) instead :)
That's a large leap that people at school knew he was going to go by Lord Voldemort to they knew his entire heritage and a half blood. For all we know his friends could have thought Lord Voldemort sounded like a much more terrifying name for a dark wizard than Tom Riddle
Omg I was never thinking about that! I always thought that Voldemort is pure- blood! I'm sorry if I talk a little wrong bcs I am Estonian and my English is not very good. Love ur videos❤👌
In other clips you've commented on how young Snape was. Here you say that Bellatrix, who according to chapter 27 of the Goblet of Fire was in school together with Snape, was "one of the oldest Death Eaters". How do you get that to add up? Also, the only Avery mentioned to be a Death Eater also went to school with Snape and Bellatrix, so he was not among the friends of Tom Riddle in school either. The Lestrange and Avery mentioned in the Half Blood Prince were probably the parents of the Lestrange and Avery that became Death Eaters. It is, of course, likely that they told their sons about who Voldemort really was, so it's likely that they knew, but saying that they are the same people is wrong.
Well Barty Crouch jr. knew for sure as he compared himself to Voldemort by stating that they both had very disappointing fathers. I think that the whole pure blood thing was always based on hypocrisy. It has been hinted several times that most so called pure blood families would not want anyone to seriously study their ancestry. As long as you are not muggle born and publicly share death eater ideals you are fine. Snape also was a halfblood and had no problems joining the death eaters.
Don’t forget the role that misinformation and ignorance played in the story. For example, Umbridge’s insistence that a muggle born Wizard “stole” a wand. I wonder if there isn’t some element of belief that because he was powerful, he was in a sense pure. Hitler had a Jewish mother, after all.
Didn’t watch the whole video, here’s my prediction before I continue. Since he changed his name from Tom Riddle to Voldemort because he was ashamed by his muggle father I’m guessing he never told anyone his past, because from his most loyal followers (probably sometime after 1960ish) probably don’t know much more than the message he was fighting for. I bet he either killed or he tortured previous followers from his days at school. I’m guessing the followers we know from the 1990s and even in the 1980s probably did not know his past. The only one I bet knew his dark secret was Dumbledore and I’m sure some administration that Dumbledore told, Mcgonagall for example. I wonder if Slughorn knew anything of that nature, unsure if they got into deep conversation like that. Tom seems like the fellow to use is charisma to get what he wants, and doesn’t care for knowledge about the person he’s getting info from After watching: I was wrong
It's a good theory, but I've always felt the Death Eaters did not care. The group got what they wanted - a true leader. Before him, they were radicals. If I recall, when Harry and Voldemort were fighting in the clock tower, he said something like "others will betray you" - something like that. I believe that if Voldemort had won the battle at Hogwarts, given enough time, they would single him out. I always saw the Death Eaters (book mainly) using Voldemort as their weapon, and I think Harry could see that too. "I have something to live for". If Harry dies, then its only a matter of time before Voldemort would also.
This video really starts answering the question in the title around 7:20. But I think you missed the two main reasons why the Death Eaters accepted Voldemort as a half-blood. 1) You almost alluded to it without saying the word: Fear! They were afraid to question a wizard so powerful. It was Voldemort's power they were following. As soon as Voldemort lost his power, they nearly all drifted off and did all they could to deny any past association, even claiming to have been commanded under the imperious curse. 2) And most importantly, they followed him because he was speaking to their prejudices: the things they wanted to hear. We see the greatest example of this in real life, with "Leavers" who believed all their heroes' lies about leaving the European Union. They believed themselves to be 'entitled', 'better' than people on other EU countries, who would be subjugated and offer fealty and sacrifices to 'Great Britain', just like in the days of Empire. Most of these people hated everything about the privileged up-bringing of Boris Johnson who they elected and worshiped as their Prime Minister, of Jacob Rees-Mogg who for a time they saw as a future leader. They ignored the lies, they believed the empty promises, they continue to endure the suffering. And they soon became so entrapped by their own support of the lies that they could not even admit it to themselves. Confirmation bias. Cognitive dissonance. That's why Voldemort's supporters blindly followed a person who is the embodiment of so much that they hate.
This is very interesting. But I'd be far more interested in why you think Snape, a fellow half-blood, was accepted. Could it be that he just didn't tell Voldemort, and that Snape was so good at occlumency that Voldy never found out?
This a great analogy to Adolf hitler. Hitler said that the German race was superior yet he himself wasn’t a prototypical german( blonde hair, tall and other stuff). Voldemort defended pure blood supremacy yet he himself wasn’t pure blood
Just came across this video and there are problems with your argument: 1- In the books, Bellatrix whispers "You dare speaks his name?" after Harry calls him Voldemort out loud. Then there is the argument between Harry and Bellatrix, where Harry actually tells everybody that Voldemort's dad was a muggle; which leads to Bellatrix getting very angry to the point that she almost attacked Harry in Department of Mysteries. Which shows, either she didn't believe the statement put forward by Harry, or she was worried that some few people who didn't know would become aware of this issue. This passage alone shows that not everyone (possibly anyone) completely knew that Voldemort was half-blood. Many might have known that he was not pure blood, considering that pure blood families were very well-known. So while, many of the witches and wizards around aren't pure blood, there are many who are not half blood. 2- Voldemort, even in his younger days was rather cruel and intimidating. Considering that his magical abilities were top-notch and everyone in staff liked him; then it makes sense that no one had the reason to question his family background. Specially, since being a Parselmouth and a Slytherin House would automatically allow him higher ranks amongst his contemporaries. Thus, he had many different types of authority (academic, charismatic, founder, positional, punitive, and traditional authority) that would have enabled him to ignore and gloss over any questions that might have been raised about his family. 3- As Dumbledore explained to Harry, there are not many people who knew Voldemort at any significant level. At school, he was the brilliant orphan. To his close "friends", he was the heir of Slytherin, and everyone else he was He Who Must Not Be Named. The core of the death eaters such as Malfoy, Avery, Lestranges were more enamored by someone who had all these types of authority and willing to promote their way of thinking. Son to conclude, I think majority of his followers were not aware of his blood line in detail and those few who were privy to that were more concerned with their view becoming more prevalent and others who propagate such rumors getting removed from the conversation.
aside from being the heir of salazar slytherin, tom riddle was charming. he was intelligent and quite handsome when he was young, which added to his 'glamour' when he was at hogwarts
The founder of modern Thailand around a Thai nationalist cause was Plaek Phibunsongkhram who was PM from 1938 to 1944 and from 1948 to 1957. He recognized Siam in Thailand around Thai nationalism and Thai national identity. At the same time, he was of Chinese ethnic stock although by his generation his family had completely assimilated into Thai society.
I agree with this assessment, however would also like to add that he was the one to open the Chamber of Secrets and proved himself to his housemates at school by doing this and setting the Basilisk onto the halfbloods in Hogwarts...
Just a friendly feedback…. Your soft spoken voice is a little challenging to hear and I had to turn the volume way up. It would be more conducive to listening if you speak up a little more. Thank you for making informative videos on Harry Potter lore.
What has the one to do with the other? He recognised them at Malfoy Manor. At least Ron and Hermione. He could act as if he didn't know if it was Harry because of the jinx Hermione put on Harry. He acted so because he didn't want them to be killed. He didn't really want Voldemort to win but was not brave enough to rebel open. He could rebel indirectly when he acted as if he couldn't recognise Harry. In the room of requirement he confronted him because he wanted to have his wand back. Crabbe and Goyle wanted to bring Harry to Voldemort. I don't know if Voldemort gave them the mission to bring Harry to him, but I don't think so If they got the mission: Like I said above. Draco isn't brave enough to openly rebel. So he did as he was told If they didn't get the mission. Why should Draco act as if he wouldn't recognise him? First of all, there isn't the jinx from Hermione anymore on Harry. He looks like himself. Second, Crabbe and Goyle would have recognised Harry. They knew him as well as Draco. There was noone in the room who didn't know Harry, so there is no reason for Draco to act as if he doesn't recognise him I hope I could help you :D
I assume this is among other things, much like the stormtroopers in Star Wars, a hint or parallel to the NS-Regime and Hitler himself who certainly was not an “Arier”.
Whilst Bellatrix does call Harry a "filthy Half-Blood", Half-Blood status was not quite so bad in their eyes as Muggle-Born. In fact, Harry would be considered properly a little higher than "Half-Blood" since both his parents were magical: it was his mother's Muggle-Born, but still Harry was the product of two magical people. Yes, it wouldn't be "the best" situation to Death Eaters, but certainly better than a standard Half-Blood or worse, a Muggle-Born. Harry was called "filthy" mainly as he was an enemy - THE enemy - of Voldemort. Snape and others were also Half-Bloods. Snape was in fact MORE of one than Harry as his father was a muggle. Snape only got (in his eyes and other Death Eaters) his talents from his mother. I bet there were more in their ranks like this as well.
That was a very long winded explanation of why the death eaters even knew his real name. Malfoy, of all peoples, has his old diary with the name engraved, and plants it in Ginny's belongings, fully aware that this may bring back the dark lord! He may be privy to more intimate knowledge because Bellatrix is his sister in law, but I don't think that's how he knew - I think its simply common knowledge.
No, from what I remember, did'nt Dumbledore state how if Malfoy had known what the diary was, he would have taken far more care with it. Id assume he probably considered it a highly powerful dark artifact that would embaress and weaken the Weasly's position within the ministry, and tank the pro-muggle legislation that Weasly were working towards.
The Avery and LeStrange mentioned by Slughorn were likely the father’s of the Death Eaters. Bellatrix DID NOT KNOW that Voldemort was half blood. Take a closer look at the Goblet of Fire monologue. Voldemort only use the word father when speaking loudly and the only mention of the father being anything unsuitable is whispered to Harry. Everything is even set up so the DE’s don’t see the name on the headstone. Snape, who was also a half blood, didn’t know of Voldemort’s background initially. Harry actually has more magical blood then Voldemort as both of Harry’s parents were magic users. Fairly powerful ones at that. Neither the films or the books do anything in my opinion to show that Voldemort was at all powerful. He charismatic, angry, evil, completely insane, a tactician at times, and someone that used his self-hatred to power his unforgivables and as he used nothing else as well only fighting when he had a numbers advantage, he caused fear. It was that fear that lead to most wizards and witches to seeing him as powerful. He couldn’t even fight Harry, one on one, when Harry was 14 without Harry being outnumbered and already exhausted. Even the confrontation in the Ministry was after Harry had been actively fighting for sometime and even then Voldemort’s attempted possession was an utter failure. Bella was raised on Pureblood Supremecy as all Blacks were. There is no way most of Voldemort’s classmates knew either because what we see and hear from Walburga Black’s portrait, she would have been his classmate, she would NEVER have allowed her nieces or her son, Regulus, to be branded a slave by a halfblood. For all of this your theory holds no water.
The pure-blood supremacists hate muggleborns more than the muggles. The worst in their opinion are muggleborns, in the second place are blood traitors. Muggles are in the third place of the enemies.
Voldemort was basicallly upfront about who he is, what he wants and his relationship with most of his death eaters, it seems. knowing they matter little to the lord, they fought for a fellow cause. I see.
Half bloods weren’t the worst in their eyes, it was muggleborns. Also, since Voldemort was literally a descendent of Salazar he was more than worthy in their eyes.

That's exactly what I thought. People are dumb sheep that follow a theory if they benefit from it. Like when Hitler promised the Nazis they could win over the world and will have a better life by erasing Jews they jumped for it. And there are so many similarities in HP with the Third Reich. "Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory"
I think, more important then his blood status, he's the heir of Salazar Slytherin. That's why they accepted him as their leader.

He also killed his magical relatives
@dristawastaken I would count that last one as him killing at least one magical relative. It wouldn't have happened had he not set it into motion.
Slytherin house didn’t only accept purebloods, and not all Slytherins even cared about blood purity.

Video suggestion: how did voldemort 'unknowingly' and 'accidently' latched part of his soul into Harry when we know creating horcrux was an ardous and detailed task.
He was so used to doing it for his last six murders, without realising he did the dark piece of magic.
As far as I know, his soul became vulnerable with the amount of splitting, when hit with something as powerful as killing curse, cast by Voldemort himself, a piece of it unwillingly split apart.
If you have 9 horcruxes you get obliterated so it was extremely dangerous for Voldemort to keep killing

Which makes it pretty odd Belatrix called Harry a "filthy half blood" in the department of mysteries.

I have always thought three thing about why the Death-eaters who knew would side with a half-blood.

Compared to a muggle/magical person having a relationship, the magic of the child from the coupling could have been seen as having been inherited from the magical parent rather than stolen, and also in the early days of the relationship the muggle in the coupling was probably eased into the magical world (and if they didn't react to it well, could be obliviated before causing any scene by the witch/wizard they are with, who could then live a lie or move on)
You make me curious about things which I never thought of!
Putting aside my personal feelings about Magic in the HP Universe. I think like many dark and shady people, they just ignored that part of their heritage and chose to identify with something. Sometimes you can do that for neutral reasons. It is ironic though that he is technically not "Pureblood"
I know write....harry is more pure then him, at least his mom had magic
I always found the whole pure blood and half blood thing to not make sense... I get that a wizard or witch with a nonmagicl partner will produce a half blood but it makes no sense if a witch or wizard getting with aka muggle born and having a child and that child is call half blood
Even Snape was half blood prince and they all took him as a death Eater too
Snape could summon a patron spell something death eaters can't do. He never was a death eater :)

Day 411 of asking you to do a video on what would happen if all mugules found out that witches and wizards exist
That is some real dedication...
They would be obliviated.
You joined in January 2021 you couldn't have done 411 days
I really like the music in this video. IDK what it is, but it's calming and haunting at the same time
Well Barty Crouch jr. knew for sure as he compared himself to Voldemort by stating that they both had very disappointing fathers.
Tom seems like the fellow to use is charisma to get what he wants, and doesn’t care for knowledge about the person he’s getting info from
After watching: I was wrong
Like a Cosmic Joke. Being heir to Salazar Slytherin, but having a Muggle Father and Muggle Name.
Actually, doesn't Bellatrix yell at Harry and call him a liar when he asks if she knew in the 5th book? Pretty sure that means she doesnt know
Just came across this video and there are problems with your argument:
1- In the books, Bellatrix whispers "You dare speaks his name?" after Harry calls him Voldemort out loud.
Why Did Draco Malfoy confront the golden trio in the room of requirement even though he acted like he couldn't recognise him at Malfoy Manor ?
What has the one to do with the other?
He recognised them at Malfoy Manor. At least Ron and Hermione. He could act as if he didn't know if it was Harry because of the jinx Hermione put on Harry. He acted so because he didn't want them to be killed. He didn't really want Voldemort to win but was not brave enough to rebel open. He could rebel indirectly when he acted as if he couldn't recognise Harry.
In the room of requirement he confronted him because he wanted to have his wand back. Crabbe and Goyle wanted to bring Harry to Voldemort. I don't know if Voldemort gave them the mission to bring Harry to him, but I don't think so
If they got the mission: Like I said above. Draco isn't brave enough to openly rebel. So he did as he was told
If they didn't get the mission. Why should Draco act as if he wouldn't recognise him?
First of all, there isn't the jinx from Hermione anymore on Harry. He looks like himself.
Second, Crabbe and Goyle would have recognised Harry. They knew him as well as Draco. There was noone in the room who didn't know Harry, so there is no reason for Draco to act as if he doesn't recognise him
I hope I could help you :D
"Because he grew up in an orphanage he grew more curious" lol uh...
I assume this is among other things, much like the stormtroopers in Star Wars, a hint or parallel to the NS-Regime and Hitler himself who certainly was not an “Arier”.
the sound would be better if bass is low in the voice. btw good video
No mention of Snape also being 1/2 blood? I mean a whole book was written about it.
Some of the pure bloods seemed to pity half bloods or at least tolerate them. It was the muggleborns they truly hated.
Yeah, this cracks me up, Harry is literally less of a halfblood than Voldemort is, but Bellatrix still said this😂
Cause the Black family were basically viewed as royalty in the wizarding world, especially amongst themselves so she sees herself as superior..
"She wants us to have kids with muggles!"
*him being a halfblood*
why are they called the knights of walpurgis??
I think what got everyone’s attention was his power. What sealed it was that Tom couldn’t die anymore.
I like how harry was one of the strongest wizards And macgonogall was a boss witch
“ One of the strongest wizards” 😂 stop it
Harry wasn’t one of the strongest wizards
@@thejamesone7633 but he made a patronus at the 13 same age has me and killed a basilisk with only a sword and survived the killing curse twice
@@JMB_Knight killing the basilisk required no wizarding ability and the patronus charm relies on the strength of his happy memories more than ability.
@@JMB_Knight he also survived the killing curse the first time due to lily potter, then the second time due to the horcrux not him being invincible
Great job! I always wondered why the death eaters accepted him?
Death water ...LOL

Concidering that Voldemort was based from Hitler who was half-Jewish, I doubt they knew.
I see.
then there are those like Belatrix who were loyal to the lord himself over their cause.
