She is a great resource for you, she has a "wee" bit of Spyder riding experience... over 80,000 miles... and all 50 states. You'll get the hang of editing fairly quickly, we all go through hiccups with audio or video, you'll do just fine, Mel !!! 👊😁👍

Just saw your channel. Nice spyder I just rode one the other day, coming from a newer Honda Goldwing, I'm thinking It'll be a while til I decide to go to a 3 wheeler. I'm amazed that spyder still has a key on their limited, why not a fob, so much better. Love the screen display tho, that's top notch. But I felt it had it's quirks like everything does. I love the looks of the spyder looks awesome. Great video. Thank you.

You really still should be wearing protective gear thou,we have the Bohn mesh shirt for when the weather is hot & I’m afraid sandals just don’t go! @@vagabondmel my wife did the Spyder course here in Canada, as she was lacking confidence in riding as she has never ridden a motorcycle up to us getting the Spyder! @@PurpleOnThree yes we do, my wife loves the shirt as she’s a hot body person Lol . She has the hot pink one & we have just had to contact Bohn , as it started to fade in a couple of areas. Bohn is going to replace it with no issues, great 👍 customer service! Regards Stephen Alberta Canada.
I will say about gear though is while you may not feel like you need gloves/long sleeve shirts/jackets you should probably still wear either high socks or pants, and closed toe shoes. Loose rocks and gravel can periodically jump up at you and it's like getting stung by a bee when it happens. I see a lot of comments about spyders having more balance so you need less gear, but it's never the balance you should be worried about. Spyders may be extremely hard to tip, but you're still extremely easy to be thrown when you get hit or take a corner too fast.
There is a graphic on the frunk when you open it that shows that it is not a place to store a computer. I think mainly because of the heat generated by the engine. The other compartments being the side cases or the top box (I think you call it a trunk in the USA) are fine. It is probably best to put in a laptop bag that is padded as it will absorb the vibration from the road which you might not feel on the seat because of padding and suspension but may be more severe in the cases. At the risk of sounding preachy and telling you what to do can I suggest you wear gloves and a long sleeve top. The gloves will protect your hands in the event of a fall or from flying objects, stones etc and at the least the long sleeve top will save your arms from sunburn on long rides in the warmer months.
I read a little bit of the manual and it says that there's a helmet mount if you pop open the seat where the gas tank is, there's something to lock your helmet to underneath but I haven't looked into it yet, I only read about it in the manual.
Welcome! What a pretty color Spyder! As far as copyright infringement, as long as you aren't monetized (1,000 subs AND 4,000 watch hours in the past year), you can use any music you want. You just can't monetize the video when your channel becomes monetized. I have a few videos like that because I'm "cheap", well not exactly as I pay for my editing software, BUT I won't pay for music. So I have a few videos that are ineligible for monetization. Hope that makes sense!

Well, yes, Spyders are safer than two wheels, BUT there is still a risk...@fire3048 wears the same gear as we do as far as Bohn Body Armor...very cool..even in plus 100 degree heat.

Thanks! I'm 5'5. My friend is a couple inches shorter than me, I'll take a video of her sitting on it so you can get an idea. I can reach the break pedal very easily and I don't have to reach for the handlebars, it feels like it was specifically made for me but it wasn't, that's just how they're made. Hopefully I'll have a new video up in a couple days, I'm just waiting for a new mount for my gopro to come in the mail

I’m not an attorney or a copyright law expert, but I posted a video with a short snippet of a song to test the audio for viewers. UA-cam recognized a copyright issue, and automatically siphons a percentage of revenue from the video to the copyright holder. I’m fine with that. You’re not monetized yet, so obviously there’s no revenue for them to share, so I’m not sure how UA-cam would handle it. My “guess” is that they would merely siphon revenue from that video once you are monetized (when you hit 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours.)

Can-Am Spyders... All of the danger of riding a motorcycle with none of the cool factor. Those things are NOT motorcycles. I know they are registered as motorcycles, but they are not motorcycles, but just like the Polaris Slingshot, it is NOT a motorcycle. That's why no biker gives them the 2 fingers...

Yes biker do give the two fingers because I have a Ryker and all the biker that pass by me they give the two fingers. It’s you who see the can- am not motorcycle .

I wave at other riders because i like to acknowledge others in our community. Whether they wave back with two fingers or one, doesn’t matter to me. I wave because I like to wave. So be it. Safe riding.

I found the Kemimoto ATV cup holder to be a great cup holder for the Spyder.
I carry my laptap in a padded computer bag and have ridden thousands of miles with it, no issues....
This is good advice… I do the same.
Also, I just learned the Quik app allows you to see what the viewer sees on your iPhone. That will help us make sure our cameras are aimed properly.

yes, I will keep my rtl22.I can mute my audio book from the tank top rather than try to reach the display..
Very true! I still get confused on where the pause button is on the controls. The touch screen on the display doesn't work if your foot is on the gas.
I have had my Spyder for 6 months. I love it and I live were it is hot. And I don’t wear my gloves and heavy clothing. Not when it is 90+ degrees out.
Yeah, I'm not too worried about it. I just worry about cars running red lights and stop signs but I'm super cautious at intersections, we'll be fine 😁

Yep I ordered a chin mount from chinmounts.com and it's on my chin. It's not very heavy at all.
