A great quick and to the point review. I keep hearing that Honbon forge are really making an effort to put out a better product. You could hear the tightness of the ito when you would run your hand over it ! Ha! Sounds silly but you know what I'm trying to say
i think hanbon is great for what they do well at which to me is making custom work for very cheap i do think people expect too much when they order from them and often times pick waaaay too elaborate designs for their fittings and then get their sword and judge it harshly and im like , well you made the sandwich haha i’ve opted for keeping it simple hanbons off the rack options tend to come with a higher attention to detail and this sword is a good example of that main issue i have with hanbons custom work is the tsuka being too large this one fits perfectly in the hand and my other customs are a bit more axe handle. but really that happens in a lot of different places too so it’s not the end of the world.
another thing i think can’t be stressed enough is just how good yao is at customer service ESPECIALLY not being stationed in america he has answered all my questions and has delivered each time with my custom ideas hell i asked for a 5 foot sword and got it lol
I have to get one of those at some point. I really like the look of them. I'm ordering a Viking sword next week. A bastard sword and another Arming Sword next month. Then, probably back to Japanese style swords.
@TONEDEAFSOUND yeah... I definitely didn't need another can of worms, but here I am! LMAO! I love that Oni on the kashira. I've had really good luck with 1060, by the way. It's tough, easy to sharpen, and has reasonably good edge retention. I couldn't ask for much more than that.
also forgot to add that this one came with near perfect saya retention too which makes practicing with it a dream
That's a sweet nodachi, love the quality of work hanbon does. Still have to get this one when I can.
you’ll definitely love it man it’s a beast
Really cool looking blade, love the aesthetics of it. Liked the review too brother, we need more of these
thank you man! gonna try and do one for each of the blades i collected this year
@@TONEDEAFSOUND yes! Love collection vids!
gonna try and do one of these for each of my swords
Epic 1060 sword brother really like the colors they match well 🥷
thank you family
it’s a super sick one if you end up getting a nodachi i can definitely recommend this one

Cool. Thanks for showing, that's sweet

they don't have full length tangs traditionally
yeah this one isn’t full length either but i get what you mean
I will never not like that Ito color
sammme
How long does it take to arrive after you order?
@@TheOGHamburburlar depends on what you order
if you order straight off the rack no adjustments than usually two weeks
