The plan was to turn this little XV250 into a cool little chopper, that I can lend out to friends that are interested in getting into motorcycles. And with the help of some friends, I think we smashed it out of the park. Im extremely happy with how it all turned out.

I've got an 1989 XV250 in England (US import as they didn't make it over here) Done a few things to it, but this is the nicest XV250 I've seen by far.

@@EasyDoesitmoto appreciate that man! Thanks! I went over her this weekend. Running and diving and I thought I’d be off to the roadworthy early. Then a crunching and the rear brake lever teeth are toast. $16 and at least a week. Fun times. I hope everything that wants to break does so nice and early. Easy bike to work on.

I’d call her Raker! After the goddess of all things raked!
It looks Raked out hey, but it’s not. It’s just the way I lowered it heaps in the rear from stock, so it makes the front end look much longer
@@EasyDoesitmoto yeah thought as much - Rog used to have a wide glide with lowered suspension which emphasised the already raked front end!!
Killed his kidneys but it looked hot!!!!!!
@@Zulu_117_ST I’m lucky the tank runs out of fuel at around 150kms, so you aren’t on it for too long. Although I’m pretty happy to get off it after 50 lol

Thanks mate! It was a great learning experience for me, it made me unafraid to jump into a project that’s for sure. So much so that I currently have 4 projects going, not including one I got on the road not long ago haha

hi. Nice bike. I've got a 250 virago too..I was wondering how you extended the front fork.
The front fork isn’t extended at all, probably just looks that way without the front fender and that the back end is now a lot lower then stock

Cool results, man !! Not a fan of the handlebars....I had the same style on my old Yammy. I bent them outwards and put better grips on them for a way better feel. It sure looks better than the original bike. Good job !! Cheers !! :)
We had plans for other bars that were 1 inch, but I wasn’t happy with the master cylinder I got, so just ran with the stock bars for now. Down the line I might change them to something cooler
Burn Anna or Brenna seem to have a good ring to it on that bike now

How do you fix your sissy bar ?
It’s fixed in two points. At the bottom of the sissy bar is a tab, that goes over the lower strut mounts on the swing arm. The other it fixed to the rear fender with a bolt and a bunch welded to the bar.
