I had so many cool pets when I was in Arizona State Prison. I had a mouse, bat,Arizona bark scorpion, desert haired scorpion, sonoran toads(and babies)(the ones that ppl extract DMT from),horned toads,a cow killer, and a caterpillar
Wow! I'm glad you had all those different special pets. I hope you're doing well, and hopefully have the opportunity to own and care for a Jumper on the outside. For me, things like caring for other small animals/arachnids keeps me busy and out of trouble
@Blood Eagle 88 nah, the bite barely breaks the skin, and if it does, it only leaves a little abrasion. I have had 2 of them.. if you count that as venomous, than you got issues running into a real "venomous" spider..
@@brasstacksboxing409 Well, you can count it as venomous because they have venom and we can know what we're talking about. Will they bites? Only if somebody is stupid enough to hold one against their body, or some other incredibly rare situation such as trapping one accidentally in clothing while getting dressed... but yes they are venomous. We all should have issues running into a truly dangerous spider I should hope, but I do see there are those out there fiddling around with those rare species. Of course some human has to do that. (sigh). Anyway, good to see there are finally fans of these. I kept them back in the 80's when I was a kid; nobody I knew besides myself wanted anything to do with them then. Now there's "experts" everywhere LOL.
@@lasvegasloner4621 they are a very inquisitive and fun breed of spider. Had one in 2006 that I found at shelby farms park. Bought another online 3 years ago. Very friendly and active breed. I consider myself an expert, because I have owned 2 males, and could do many tricks with them.. even traveled with them in crown royal bags..
I just got bit by one of these today. it was a black male with 2 white dots and 2 white dashes on his rear. I thought it was a widow at first but I went back and found him. luckily for me the little sting he packs from his venom is weak in comparison to a widow
I caught one in my house lol i was still super scared it would jump i looked at him awhile in the bottle and then released him far away from my home in a bush 😂
I just found a male phipidus Audax spider outside my front door. I used the hose (slight water pressure) and washed him off my door. If you think that was animal abuse, I was throwing small rocks at him earlier. I didn't want to kill him tho, he looked really cool and harmless. He's a big boy tho! Holy carp I was so scared. But don't worry, he's ok. Currently he's hiding under a wood plank on the house. He saw me and was so afraid, poor thing. I tried taking a picture of him but he hid away. I must of terrified him. If he stays off the door and out of the house, he'll be fine. I'm naming him Phipi.
I love how they look around, I rarely see spiders move their heads like that :D
They have really good eyesight so they like to stare and observe a lot, and most spiders don’t.
The others that do are nocturnal and way more defensive. Ogre-faced spiders or wolf spiders for example
Change your picture right now
I had one as a pet in prison i loved her
Aw
you were in prison?

She's one beautiful spider.
just found one of these in my house just now. was able to coax it into a cup and place it outside.
Not poisonous - They can bite, but seldom do. This large one can fit on a thumb nail. Most 'Jumpers' are smaller.
@Blood Eagle 88 only venomous to prey. Not humans..

She is so cute!!!
so cute
so cute!!! are they friendly?Do they bite?
They bite rarley, but when they do it hardly breaks skin, and when it does it only causes irritation to humans. Such cool friends.
they can be very friendly and rarely bite. check out Regina the Spooder on youtube!
They are very friendly if treated correctly
Jumping spiderlings (babies) are even cuter!
SO FRICKEN ADORABLE!!!! 😭😭😭

The spider deserves to live more than you do :)
