I finally popped on the TS Destroyer BlackJack and I can’t RAVE enough about this rod! One of the only “big bait” rods that can throw a Slide Swimmer 250 and a WCZ Citizen soft bait or other single hook application “well!”
I use an ark reinforcer 6'8 for my 100 and lower jerkbaits and a poison adrena 6'10 for 110s and up. Can't wait to hold them in my living room for the next 5 months pretending to fish.
Really appreciated the video Ben. I am very curious if you have had a chance to work with the new 7’8’’ Hvy SLX A Swimbait rod? Thanks again for the great content this year. Look forward to another great year in 2023!
You aren't joking when you say the Jerkbait Special is versatile. I had mine for a long time and only fished JB's with it, till Randy Blauket said he uses a JB special exclusively for squarebills. So I tried, and damn, it worked great. So I started throwing mid cranks (Deep X 100 and 200 on it). The 110 stick is better for the Deep X 100 but still the JB special can do it well. And add in topwater and your getting alot of techniques. I would still have one, though, if jerkbaits were all it was good for! The weight of it is perfect for snapping a jerkbait on slack and getting that perfect jerk!
Now the TS Poker is on the bougie side of things but would that be a another candidate for deep water jig fishing? Or is the NRX just a better option? 🤔
This year I am focusing on getting better at jig fishing. It’s a huge hole in my fishing. Looking for a jig rod to help with this. I have been considering the Expride 72MHB for fishing mostly 3/8 and a few 1/2oz jigs in scattered grass. Mushy bottom with some scattered rock. Max depth is 16 feet tops. Most of it is 8 -10 feet or less. Would the 72H be better? I am moving by next year and the closest lake is soft bottom mostly leafy debris and laydowns. It’s a volcanic crater lake. So I’m sure there is rock too. Looking for a rod that will work well in both. Sorry for the novel.
Quick question... do you seal the cork on your rods? You never mention it. I know u booshie bros probably just use your natural slime to coat them... but just curious.
Used the NRX line and discovered they aren’t worth the price tag as FX Custom Rod makes a titanium series and for a jig their 7’3” heavy is lighter and just as sensitive as nrx for sale price of $219 right now! Their 7’M spin is also an awesome jerkbait rod… y’all should be using a spinning rod for your jerkbait fishing!
Been using a spinning for jerkbaits long before UA-cam was even a deal especially fishing from the starboard side of the boat! I’ll still use baitcasting for fishing the port side but if using 6-8 lb test then strictly spinning. I think the spinning rod is a Missouri Ozarks thing…that’s where I learned it in the late 80’s, and it works!
Hello. We writing from Québec city, Canada. We watching all your videos, but we have a question for you. We would like to go fishing next spring (April 2023) in Arizona. My son and i, we would like to have a fishing guide for a couple of days. Can we suggest me someone or somebody who work at your store and who could guide my son and i ? Thank you very much. Can you compare the blackjack to a tequila baccarat. I own the later and need a rod to throw bigger baits. The ratings have me confused ( blackjack MH and Teq Bac is a Heavy?) basically will the blackjack throw bigger baits than the Teq Bac?
The whole TS line is made specifically for big baits, the black jack especially is my go to for medium-ish size glides like a 4 oz, or 7” soft baits. The Tequilla baccarat to me is like a “junk fishing” rod for anything over an oz. It’s good at everything, but not the best
But yes, my baccarat is for lighter stuff, pitching short distance, an AMAZING big spoon rod, and my Blackjack is my go to 3-6oz all around big bait rod
@@valentinmalinin I think it will work, I don’t own a slide swimmer, but the I-slide 262 throws fine on it, I just use slightly bigger line like a 25 lb leader and it handles it fine
This is like the designer store of the fishing realm, they bring in some limited run stuff and top notch stuff, personally don’t have the money to buy any of these, but i still love watching and seeing the new things they bring in
Yeah, Braillist for sure. I think he was just concentrating on what's better for heavier jigs in deeper water. Braillist is awesome just not for the size he was referencing.
Wow all spring, summer and fall rods not one single winter rod !! In winter the water is frozen so we use ice fishing rods, tip-up, tip-downs and rattle reels . maybe retitle your video
I've called them 3-4 times & left a voicemail. Every time they call back on the same day if not within hours. Every time they were professional & helpful. I don't see a customer service problem.
Just got my vets day package in. My god man, so much quality gear for such a good price. I’m so stoked Ben, thank you sir!
BLUE MOON..., is BEER!? I Can't WAIT for the Sunday morning Shanangans!!😂
I like how Ben just kind of slid that new DEPS glide bait in Bone color past the camera 😂
Bone?? Nahhh thats bonheur
Best fishing channel & shop!

Absolutely love my Levante JBS. Thinking of picking up the orochi as well. Since I got it a few weeks ago, I haven’t put it down more than 20 mins

It was 30 here in Cincy last night!!😂. To cold for this chubby guy to fish. Love to fish jerbaits, blade baits, and the sleeper when it bearable.

How does the dark sleeper measure up to the Diawa perfect pitch for a do it all rod. Shakey, t-rig, swims etc
Over the last year or two, because of you Ben I own half of these rods…😂
Good stuff Ben
me watching this video knowing I’m gonna throw the only 5 rods I own
Same lol
Same lol
XD
Me too! Lol
Getting cold, it's 20's at night here in OH and some snow.

Have you thought of doing something like a top 10 high end combo video?

Do a video on the 902 nrx+
what rod do you use for distance drop shot fishing if you want a two piece rod.
What's st croix 6'9" MHM tournament.?.believe it's three spinning bait. What other options is this rod excel?
I can’t believe Ben didn’t have the windbuster or Madbull on this list.

Lol owning both it is not near as sensitive as the nrx lol
Do you have a link for your brothers music?
It’s so enjoyable.
Anyone have any experience with the baby plugging or Landsat rods

Oeps, I buy last year littlemore of 5 rods 😅😅
What is a travel alternative for Black Jack?
Valkyrie world expedition 7’11, I have both and they’re very similar in taper
@@LLTehSaltShakerBlOD oh thanks, 7'11 indeed looks more versatile than 8 ft, will it be okay with casting slide swimmer 250 from time to time?

Perfect episode for me to harass you guys! I need a hookup beanie!
all you need is one rod… but you want more! 😉😁
What 5 rods could I use all year 🤔?
All break the bank rods.
First time watching?

They sell Exprides for $200?
Expride A’s we’re being sold for 200 on tackle warehouse
Freezing just dropped below 70 🤣 Oh Ben!
Winter rods? Do they gave heated handles or guide defrosters?
Morning Fellas
Give it to me!!!
🍻🤙🏼

No in depth about Ned Rig rods from Griff? Smh 😆

Winter isn't the same for everyone. Maybe go search for a "ice fishing" video instead. LOL
Could the Dark Sleeper double as a jerkbait rod?
Wish y'all answered the phone or emails as frequently as y'all put videos up!
Never had a problem with them answering the phone or answering a email
@@richshackelford5793 dude probably doesn't understand time zone differences lol calling when closed. Or maybe they just don't like him.
