- Did you know that onions are a self-seeding vegetable? Onions are a biennial vegetable and once they bolt and head to seed they can seed themselves to produce onion plants for the next season, which is exactly what happened in our garden this year.
In this video I walk you through the lifecycle of the onions and the entire process that led to an entire bed of onion seedlings that planted themselves.
