Bad Cop's logic is completely lacking all logic. He's telling Emmet about things that he doesn't even know about, and he thinks he's lying when he's telling the truth. I know he's the serious terrifying enforcer character, but that's just hilarious.
Exactly, it’s such perfect script writing.
And vice versa for good cop
@@def3ndr887 That’s kind of the point I got. Good Cop is actually a GOOD and logical cop compared to Bad Cop. Good Cop isn’t intimidating at all but he can actually do his job. Bad Cop is scary but an incompetent hothead.
Best script writing
Is his fault that president bussines failed on his plan
@@TeenageMutantZuckerTurtle what about when he lied to Emmet about how he's not going to die? I honestly think Good Cop is just Bad Cop except it's when he's either trying to seem non-intimidating and polite (to trick people into letting their guard down), or when he's legitimately happy (when he was walking back into the execution chamber with the belief that everything was going according to his plan).
Liam Neeson really had fun playing Good Cop/Bad Cop

I remember when I first heard the concept of the Lego Movie, I was like “a lego movie? Yeah that’s gonna be terrible.” And then I watched it and realized how amazing it was, and how it’s still amazing today
Lego Batman Movie is hilarious too
This shows that any toy property could work as a movie if they handed to the right filmmaker. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller wrote and directed this movie, we should thank them for taking such good care of the source material. You can tell that everyone who worked on this movie really loves the property, they weren't in for the paycheck, they were in because Legos are one of the world's most beloved toy company and they knew it. Adults plays with Legos too. And since UA-camrs have made many short films about a Lego Stop motion, I don't see how Lego couldn't work as a movie as long as the story is interesting and the humor is clever
@@LebahG4nteng, first of all: great username
Second of all: I don’t think all companies can be used. Some others tried but failed to make a story. Other ones end up being animated advertisements FOR the toy
But this movie ended up being it’s own thriving story made WITH the toys
Other companies making things to say “buy out kits, use out things, CONSUME” this one pushed more to be a “make what you want, we have the tools”
Third of all: the movie was based (by animation and story inspiration) by those stop motion Lego things people made/make!
@@thatoneguydjdoodles yeah the thing is, people are getting used to see stop motion Lego stories in UA-cam that seeing in a gifts tic screen stretch it into two hours seemed impossible. In a way like I said, this movie could've been a cash grab disaster in every way because it's a movie that nobody asked for but turned out to be the movie that we didn't know we needed in a movie that we didn't ask for
Movies based on IP toys often times are just excuse to sell more toys when Lego was already a successful toy company so the movie needed to justify why it exists other than just being a cash machine for Warner Bros
I just can’t unhear Megamind in lord business’s voice
I can’t unhear it too now.
I simply see Will Ferrell’s face every time I see both characters

Liam Neeson really knocked it out of the park.

2:21
Fun Fact I've heard (might be false): Liam Neeson actually recorded both of the voices AT THE SAME TIME. The producers were going to just have the good cop and bad cop voices be recorded separately, but Neeson just went ahead and seamlessly did both on the same tape without issue.
Goes to show what a good actor he is
No that's true
That is absolutely true! There is actually behind the scenes footage of him in the recording booth switching back and forth between the two. It’s just like how Dee Bradley Baker used to do all the clones from The Clone Wars individually before eventually doing all of them in one session.
I think good cop is scarier than bad cop. "Good" cop was 100% on board with Emmet being melted to death while still maintaining his sweet personality.DEATH DID NOT PHASE THIS MAN
to be fair, he thought he was doing the right thing... which is scary in its own right.
Fun Fact : The _"darn darn darn darny darn"_ scene is actually not in the original script, Liam Neeson actually improvised it and the creative team just went along with it. The cast really had fun making this movie, huh ? [2:25]
