    Thanks for being honest! It’s like Beyonce has people in a state of fear of criticizing her and she hasn’t done much for the black community for them to be this loyal to her.
    Beyonce doesn’t like her fans lol. She only engages with them when she has something to sell.

    I will say what I’ve stopped doing is buying expensive black owned hair care products. When I first became natural I couldn’t wait to be able to afford the expensive stuff because I thought the quality would’ve been better, and in some cases, yes, but some of it is also hard to find. Some of my products would be sold in stores then all of a sudden would disappear and be sold exclusively on their website and I’m not paying for the $10+ shipping. After several years I’ve decided to not limit myself to black owned, and do what works best for my hair and pockets. The deep conditioner I used to buy was $20. The product line I switched to I bought nearly everything for just under that price and it moisturizes my hair so much better and is easily accessed as well. I don’t have to scour the internet to find it. I think women are no longer interested in spending top dollar for natural hair products anymore and some have returned to perms. I say do whatever makes you happy. I also feel Beyoncé came in too late. I feel if she did while the craze was at its peak it would’ve done well, but it has significantly declined over the years. Though she is possibly one of the most famous people alive, not even she can pop out with a super expensive hair care brand nearly half a decade after the craze has died down. If it were cheaper I could see it doing much better. Hair care lines take time, not sure how much in her case, but once she first decided to go that business route she should’ve started wearing her natural hair out and even bringing subtle attention to it. That video she posted was the first time we saw her natural hair, and she wasn’t even doing it, but a stylist. Myself and a stylist could be using the same products but because they know what to do, they’ll always achieve a better end result than someone who has less knowledge of hair. The possible failure seems to be on poor planning. It reminds me of her sports clothing line. I don’t think she realizes it takes more than getting famous people or influencers to sell. I understand why she’s so elusive but if she wants to sell, she has to market it and be the face of it, but I don’t think she wants to do that.

    • @ebonyswope
      @ebonyswope  8 місяців тому +5

      Wow so many points were made!!! I’ve had great results with $10 products so I never subscribe to more expensive, the better. But yes from a marketing standpoint she 100% started wearing her hair out so that we could connect the 2. It’s just…. A LOT😮

      @@ebonyswope At first I always wanted to support black owned but I swear they don’t make it easy. I went from making my own products because of Naptural85, then to buying cantu, then to the expensive BO stuff. It worked until it didn’t. Environment plays a lot into how your hair deals, plus the oncoming recession, it just became too much! I’ve switched over back to the cheap and it does my hair better. I find it weird, as famous as she is, but doesn’t sell. I wonder if the correlation between being personable/ relatable is true… at first I didn’t think it was but seeing how she hardly shows herself it must be. Back then, celebs didn’t have to be all over the place just to sell. They could be the face of a brand and that’ll work, but I think due to influencers, times have changed.

    Beyonce should have showed herself using the brand innitially. We kept asking but she was on her high horse as usual and when she realized it was about to flop she caved in for sales😮beyonce is not relatable, she only jump online for a second then disappear until she needs more money from the public😮rihanna always showing us how she wears her own products, hey! Even Nicki minaj just came out with her sneaker and had them on at her tour plus she was at the met gala tonight in her own nails. Rihanna sells and Nicki sells, beyonce should take notes and stop acting as if she is above wearing or using what she sells.

    In the beauty and haircare industry there is absolutely no integrity. A lot of influencers talk trash, I realised after I realised how come they keep saying this is the best wig I've ever had or re haircare this is the best shampoo ever for the 50th product 😂

    Great questions you ask in this video. I just want us all to learn to evaluate ingredients so we KNOW if the product is craptastic or worth our coin before buying it. Too many unnatural harmful products in this space. May they all begin to expire in the warehouses and on the shelves 👏🏾👏🏾 I’m never impressed by who is marketing the product only by the ingredients. 👌🏾

    I totally agree with you. There should be a marketing concept to what. Ever, you're putting out there for the public? Maybe this line should have been just marketed or distributed by. Her mother under her name that necessarily her name just a brand that she put out if she's so good in doing hair care products. Cause I really don't care if Beyoncé's hair is long. Short this or that all we care about is a well quality product. Not something with a high price tag on it, so thank you for being honest with what you're doing today

  • @blivingston9521
    @blivingston9521 8 місяців тому +2

    I feel like the question you ask has an obvious answer they said the products are for all hair types and also there has been a push for black women as well. In the marketing her products are pushed to be like k18 and olaplex. I see plenty of black women on here(UA-cam) using these products naturals and straight naturals. The problem is people want to pick Beyonce a part and not just look at the products. They want her to be relatable but even showing up as her authentic self people question it. Tracey Ellis Ross is a mixed woman people don’t complain about her products which is for all hair types. Taraji hair products suck to me and I bought a few and passed them on to someone who could better use the products.

    • @ebonyswope
      @ebonyswope  8 місяців тому +8

      I’ve never used k18 or Olaplex but I only see white women sponsored by them on TikTok so that’s a VERY interesting comparison….
      Either way, nobody is picking her apart. I’m giving my commentary and opinion the same way I did when Taraji released haircare. I was confused about them both!!
      Tracy Ellis Ross makes perfect sense to release haircare IMO. She shows her real hair all the time whether she’s mixed or not. I have not purchase from ANY of the previous listed brands though.
      Thanks for your input…💙

    Marketing is selling an image. You’re targeting ppl who want the image. Bottom line is always the money. Watch a full video of her release, she speaks on the fact that ppl with weaves aren’t expected to have long hair and goes into her connection. We as consumers should research everything before they dive in to anything.

    • @ebonyswope
      @ebonyswope  8 місяців тому +5

      To say marketing is selling an image is very small because that literally just a corner of it. I seen the promo starting back from over a year ago when the speculation started that she would be releasing on. Felt very disconnected and people felt it which is why she’s getting the feedback that she’s getting…
