Thanks brother I appreciate that I'll send you picture when I get it done
That’s exactly what I do it’s great
Awesome bro
awesome job I have my own pestestal to do imm going to try this technique thanks for the video
Make sure the hot glue is really hot, or you can also use gorilla glue gel. It works great too.
Love the video keep them coming
Awesome ....I have a muledeer that I did about four weeks ago and I was looking for something to finish the back with.. Thanks !!
Great! Good luck with him!
Just got my pedestal mount back, my taxidermist wrapped the hide around to the backside. I have it on a swivel mount and it looks great!
Awesome man! If you get a chance post it as a comment on my The Cedar Ridge Chronicles FB page so I can see it
I’m an old man…. Never done fracebrag..😂

Love your videos and I learn something new everything so thank you
Thanks for watching!
I wish I could get into doing deer mounts. Seems like a solid business especially like you said about not enough people at the lower amount price level.
just curious, when you order a wall pedestal form with a hard turn where the deer is looking back, would you order the actual size of the cape or order a form smaller than your measurements to allow it to make the turn and add the creases in the neck? hope this makes sense lol
I order it true to size. They are built slightly smaller in the swell anyway and as long as you take your time and give the cape a second to expand as your putting it over the form, it should do fine
@@thecedarridgechronicles sounds good, i will do that.
do you just staple the hide to the back then glue the leather up to that edge all the way around or is that leather overlapping the hide thats wrapped over the edge?
@@dereksunday3883 once it is completely dry I trim the hide to the edge of the form then make the leather meet the edge
@@thecedarridgechronicles ahh ok. it looks like the hide is wrapped around the edge, is that stapled temporarily until it dries?
