UPGRADE Hyundai Elantra SEL/SE Tail Light - LED Light Bar Install - 2021 - 2023 Elantra Avante

- Today I show off the easiest way to upgrade the tail lights for a 2021, 2022, or 2023 Hyundai Elantra SE or SEL. These models do not come with the full LED rear tail light like the N line or Limited Hyundai Elantras. Luckily these parts a pretty much plug-and-play. The part number for the Full LED tail is "92409-AB100".
Note this is very similar to the original part without the LED. This is pretty easy to install and is also a great time to put led back up lights in the car.

Same here. Can’t find anything on eBay atm that isn’t scratched. Found wholesalers that sell the AB100s for $530 which is pretty steep. I’m also interested in doing other things to mine but idk what. I did just swap the headlights to LEDs and the bulbs were only $40 but it’s a very annoying job because it’s a super tight space. Absolutely worth it though. Will be doing some LED footwell lights tomorrow. Ran out of daylight today. Looks like right around sunset is a popular time to work on your 2023 Elantras lol.
I have an N line with this light already installed. Trying to find a way to turn it into a sequential turn signal. If anyone knows lemme know

Great video, i have to say though it’s such a shame Hyundai didn’t put the light bar by default across the range, it seems many of us bought it thinking it’s already there only to be heartbroken. In australia even the highest luxury trim on the Elantra / i30 doesn’t have a light bar, except the N line premium or N series.

This is the video I was looking for!! I also have a 2021 model elantra, but there is no service where I can explain this system. But as you said, if you make a video that turns the tail lights into LEDs, it provides a great integrity. good job man!

The Hybrid models have this standard as well. I just got a Blue Hybrid and was looking at doing this until I realized I already have it.
The Center lights look good, but it will look fantastic with the side lights [ ---------] put the video when you get does as well PL and Thank You 😎

Not cheap, but I just ordered one for my 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL. Brand new👍 Absolutely love the look, and wish they came with the SEL, but it doesn’t, so you gotta pay👍 Great video.
My SEL with the luxury package came with a led center bar 🤷🏿♀️
@@katieducky23 Of course, because it’s a luxury edition? I have a SEL, regular edition? I had to pay for the light bar, and I installed it today, and it’s beautiful, but I think they all should come with the LED, light bar, no matter, what edition, or trim level, you purchase?

Yeah, looks like they're all out for now but cars keep crashing all the time, so I'm sure there will be more eventually :(
@@jacobostrand1385 You should wet sand it and tint it with VHT nightshade and rustoleum peelable window tint. It will get the scratches out and make it look badass lol. Wish I could find a the part somewhere.... Cheapest I have seen it lately is 600

Any idea what the difference is between the 92409-AB000, 92409-AB010 and the 92409-AB100. I'm seeeing A LOT of the AB000 and AB010 but very few AB100

I have the N Line tail lights with me and will be installing those on my Preferred/SEL version. Heard needs to do slight changing wire on the LED bar in order for it to work. Fingers crossed it will all work out ✌🏻

@@tjmunbox I tried and it doesn’t lit up the problem is our trims have 2 middle empty pins in the female plug on the Elantra and my center bar has all middle pins filled up in the male connector. I guess I’d have to take it to a professional to tweak the wires for the female connector. Really annoyed…

@@jaskaransingh3195 the middle bar needs customization of wires which any wire mechanic can do it for you. Instead of going through the hassle, I sold those lights and bought the same led lights that he has used in the video from eBay.
Thinking about doing this myself, looks really cool.

Don’t know if this is an option for you.. but I have a 22 SE and it doesn’t come with rear speakers. I don’t know if yours do but if they don’t I would think a video on adding rear speakers to the back would be great! It would mean you have to run wire and then get speakers but should be somewhat simple! I’ve seen a lot of people ask about how to do it and I think it would be a great video! Good luck man😎
Totally possible! I did it on my 2022 Elantra. Luckily the signal is already present coming out of the Head Unit, so all you have to do is splice the wire and route an extra wire through the doors.
Looks amazing! Did you get your taillight used or new?
So the power sockets are there. The only update is one white LED strip. Seems to be cheaper to pop open the casing and solder an LED strip.

the nline taillights have a better look I really don't know how to explain it but they've got like a black housing type look
It's nice and doable, but sometimes those LED lights on vehicles just go out or maybe a portion of it will not light and then that looks worse than not having it. So I wouldn't sell your original part just yet.

On the hyundai oem parts website, it says the 92409-ab100 is not compatible with a 2023 elantra sel. Is this true? Also does anybody know if the 92409-ab120 is from the elantra limited? Because the website does not give a warning about fitting issues, so im assuming it works.
