idk if anyone commented the concept of nct but i’ll do it just in case (this comment is gonna be very long so i’m sorry if you’re reading this)
nct is a boy group under sm entertainment (along with groups like exo, red velvet, snsd, super junior, tvxq, fx)
nct does not have a set amount of members meaning more members can be added
nct has different subunits with the members (some members are in more than one unit)
nct u: the first unit to debut (members: taeyong, doyoung, mark, jaehyun, ten) they released the 7th sense and a song called without you (which had another member taeil in it) nct u hasn’t had a comeback since their debut
nct 127: this is the 2nd unit to debut (members: taeyong, mark, johnny, doyoung, taeil, winwin, haechan, jaehyun, yuta) nct 127 debuted with their song fire truck (along with a mini album) firetruck did not have doyoung or johnny in it but they were added for their next comeback. their next comeback was limitless, it also featured an ep, and their latest comeback is called cherry bomb which featured another mini album (all their discography is great you should check it out)
nct dream: the third unit to debut (members: mark, jeno, renjun, jaemin, haechan, chenle, jisung) nct dream is made up of younger boys (14-18 y/o) they make cute songs and try different concepts. their music is targeted for younger people, but even if you don’t like their music you can still appreciate their amazing dances. one member (jaemin) is currently on hiatus because he has a problem with his back right now.

This isn't their only song they also came out with 'Without You' which is a ballad type of song (probably why it gets overlooked when people talk about NCT U) Also NCT U haven't disbanded, no idea where you got that idea from, NCT as a whole is the group while the U's, 127's, Dream's etc are the UNITS. Dream being for the younger audience with it's under 18 members, 127 being the Seoul based unit, tbh i can't remember what the U unit is for, probably just a starter unit to show people *hey guys look at what we can do* but maybe they're holding off on it for now since it didn't capture the potential audience it wanted to? idk but all I know is that when U has a comeback or any other NCT uni has a comeback I better see my baby Ten or imma have a fit

NCT is pretty lit, they're the only group that really grabs my attention with the choreography as much as BTS. I don't think NCT U as a subgroup has done much, but the main group NCT 127 has some pretty hype mvs like Fire Truck and Cherry Bomb.
