It's nice to get things straightened up before you move to the next project! It's also nice to know what you have in those piles that can be reused, and remove the things that need to be thrown out. I really enjoyed the singing. I like singing along! 😯🎶
Your voices blend together so beautifully! I liked watching all your progress at 8 times the speed. I bet you wish the work could really be done at that speed!
Thanks for another great video, I loved the singing! Please share more! My favorite line of all... "I put the tree in the wrong place..." (In stead of "reposition the tractor"!!! ) Hilarious!!!
Very busy days, as always, a lot of accumulated parts of the house and it is good that the plot has enough space and can be stored somewhere. The cottage without a shelter looks, immediately better and for sure now it is safe to walk there. The sun is shining beautifully and someone is singing so beautifully until it warms the soul. I always forget to ask if the fireplaces in the house are working and can smoke in them? There was no castle cat today, is she gone? Minni loves tunnels and you can see how much she enjoys having fun in it. I greet you with all my heart from the already cold Poland😘😘
@@moorelandhouse I thought you could also smoke wood in them, but actually you don't know what the condition of the chimneys is, so it's not worth the risk. If the cat was tanning it's good, sun for the cat is healthy vitamin D, I was afraid something had happened to her. I greet you warmly and see you soon👋😃
I don't know how every muscle in your body doesn't ache doing all that heavy work all on your own. Every bit helps to make the homestead look better but what a hard tiring way to get there. God's protection and His Blessings ❤
I had been wondering what you were doing with all the debris since I've never noticed a dumpster in your yard. Today answered that question. I also wondered about the old septic system for the house (thanks to the putting in the water main videos) and again, today's video answered that question. Most of all, I'm glad that you tore down the porch roof so that you can safely egress into/out of the cottage.
Hoping you’ll show us the policed area under the covered portion of that porch, etc. Always feels good after tidying up. How deep is that abandoned chess pool? Someone may walk into it ... did you get insurance yet? I’ve heard a prediction that insurance is going to get so high people won’t be able to afford to live in their homes anymore.
You need to have a big bonfire with all the burn stuff. It is good to have a clean up every so often. What are you doing with all the rock from the water line and things like the old brick septic tank and mortar like from the front wall rebuild?
We have just been piling all the rocks at the back of the property. We will have to haul off the big chunk of concrete after we break it into smaller pieces.
Before the days of public sewer systems 0:50 people fortunate enough to have indoor plumbing would pipe their wastewater into cesspits or cesspools, which were just an underground brick-and-plaster or cement vault and covered to prevent someone falling into it. Periodically, these pits would have to be emptied out since the pits had no drainage fields like the modern systems used today have to leach the water away. My grandparents' house, built in 1918, had such a cesspit; my father would tell how a man could come with a large wooden barrel mounted on a wagon and dip the contents out of the cesspit with a bucket tied to the end of a rope. My father would call these men by the term of a "honeydew dipper" (a sweet name for a disgusting job). The "honeydew" would then be taken out of town and dumped out in a field someplace.
Why not take a weedeater to those brushy spots around the trees and tenant's house to help with the poison ivy and so forth. I like the way you clean as you go.
They just grow really fast. You don't want to use a weed eater in a patch with poison ivy. You would have poison ivy blisters in places you never dreamed of. =)
I love listening to your family sing! Such lovely harmonizing, all of you🥰🤗😘
Minnie is so cute in her tunnel!
See you next Sunday🥰🥰🤗🤗😘😘😻😻
Thank you so much! We love singing.
Wow ... I didn’t know that was your family sing8ng! @@moorelandhouse
@annettebrunette1402 Yes, that is our two daughters, their husbands and the two of us.
Beautiful voices. I love when you add your family singing praise.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful singing nice job

Send us a recording and we can try to fit it into the next video. =)
Thanks for your beautiful singing on a day when I needed a little uplift.
Glad it helped!

Thanks for the encouragement!
never a dull moment!! love the hymns, beautiful!!
Thanks! Always something to do.
Re 'So Much Debris', You Folks are very serious. Then to, since been following this channel, not surprised...
It is amazing sometimes how it begins to pile up. =)
I love to see you guys saving this old home! I’m from the area and I’ve always loved driving by to see it. You guys are doing an awesome job!
Thanks! We are enjoying almost every minute of it. =)

We haven't risked the fireplaces. They are built for coal and we don't have much. Kitten spent the day on top of Genie sunning herself.

You brought a smile to my face today! Especially the music!
Very glad we made your day a little better. Your comment did the same for us.
Muchas gracias por el canto. Thank you very much for the singing. From Montevideo, Uruguay (South America).
De nada! Gracias!
Always great to get things done. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait for next Sunday’s video.
That pile had been bothering us for a while.
Looking so good. I so love the cats
Thanks! We really enjoy their companionship.
Lots of hard work, you are doing a great job. Thanks for taking us on your journey of restoration. 🇨🇦
Our pleasure!
.. more solid progress! ..... thoroughly enjoy watching - thank you for sharing!
We knew we would have to tackle the piles eventually. Glad we got some of it done.

It's a good tired though. =)
Nice cleanup ! Hard work but looks great, Blessings,
It seems there is always something to clean up. =)

Yes, that porch roof needed to come down. =) We also haul off debris with our dump trailer. It is only a few miles to the place we can get rid of it.
awesome job on the cleanup
Thank you!
Tidying up the work site is a necessary inconvenience. But it looks fantastic!!
We wanted that part of the yard back. =)
I noticed how “the next day” graphic matched Frank’s shirt. 🎃 Nice touch. And where was your supervisor, day off? 🐈
Our supervisor spent most of that day watching from atop of Genie the boom lift.
Progress ❤
One step forward...

The insurance prediction is very believable. The hole had been filled in so it is just a spot vacant of the big chunk of concrete.
That piece from the cesspit could be turned into a nice bench.
Ew...
Well no snake screams that’s good!
Snakes can scream?!😮
We saw a snake go into that pile a month ago so we were careful as we went through it. =)

You can sell the copper and metal pipes help fund something
Absolutely! We plan on that.
@@moorelandhouse your doing a great job! I watch you whenever I can.

That sounds correct. This cesspit had been filled in years ago.

If there is a place close by where u could recycle it for some money.
We do plan on taking off the metal. We want to make sure we have enough to make the trip worth it.
Take all the wood and burn it.
Aside from the good heart pine, that will be what happens to it.
