the game would break as the resize cell would be surrounded by 4 others because of it having to resize the cell and keep the original exactly where it was when it got resized, meaning that it will be inevitable for the game to go over its maximum cell limit and either freeze, or straight up crash.

i have a suggestion rizzler cell: moves around randomly, and if its close with a 5x5 area to an enemy, the enemy will turn blue, and will become friend, and will look for another enemy the rizzler can die to anything that moves to him, and if it dies, the friend enemies will explode in a radius of 5x5 area aswell

It was put on itch and even a paid version was made under Sam's permission, which is what most people nowadays think of first when Cell Machine comes up. What's showcased in this video is a mod of CMMM that was created following its term of use/license. In short, the game shown in the video is a mod of a remake of Cell Machine, and there's nothing illegal about it.
Idea: Music cell: when a music cell activator touches it it makes a sound click on them to select what note it plays Music cell activator: goes to the nearest music cell and activates it if the music cell is aready touched it goes to the second close music cell and so it goes
A fragmenter cell: You can make cells in contact with it explode into four fragments. Kind of like the trash cell, but the fragments explode diagonally and count as their own block, but do 1/4 damage to enemies. Bonus: Fixer cell.
