- Had the opportunity to ride the new Black Hills Discovery route, which didn't disappoint! The entire ride was filled with incredible scenery and beautiful wildlife. This ride should be on every adventure rider's list.

The 8500 series of roads by Roubaix are all motorcycle only. You can get OHV maps at the Steel Wheel (Galena), etc. Good video and glad you had fun, Dan.

i was at the black hills bdrx movie premier at get on adv fest, and the one dude said there are on average 7 buffalo to motorcycle incidents a year in Custer state park, and so far a motorcycle has never won! haha what a great experience riding in the black hills is! so much beauty! makes our little hill country hills boring in comparison!

Dan did you guys park the truck and complete the loop back to the truck? Curious how that worked, planning a trip out. I will be trailering out with my toy hauler and jumping on. Didn't know if I would have to do one section and ride back to the get truck and trailer and drive to the next...
We did park the truck and complete the loop. With the route being 350 miles and in a loop I knew we would just camp off the route a night or 2 and end up back at th truck. We just paid for a campsite at a safe park and loaded up and took off once we finished the last section. You should be able to find campsites along the way once you are on the route. Have fun and ride safe!

Thanks for checking out the video! Yep, all of my camping gear for this trip fit in my Mosko Moto Rackless 80 setup. I've had this setup on multiple bikes. Really has never let me down and I would buy again for sure.
What is your mic setup while riding? Your audio sounds really good. Great editing skills as well.
I have a Purple Panda mic that I place just in front of my mouth in the helmet. I'm still working on a few things, but I'm thankful you checked out the video. Ride safe and take care.
Good to know. I have the same mic and got an adapter to work with the Insta360 One RS camera. I will be experimenting as we go along on our upcoming trip.

Hey Dan, I'm heading to ride the BDR-X this week. Should I bring my Beta 250RR two stroke dirt bike, or my F800 GS BMW? You mentioned having a bigger bike several times? Thanks, Chad. Great Vid!
Hey Chad, thanks for checking out the video. I think the F800 will serve you well on this ride. I would just make sure it hasn’t rained in the last week because some areas will be harder to navigate when wet, but other than that you will be fine. Have fun man. Plenty to see in the area.
