I check it about once a week. Thank you all for watching :)
I love your channel! Looking forward to buying some pure stock red wigglers from you!
Here is some additional information about the spray:
1. The spray alone is feeding the bacteria and microbes in the bin, increasing the food density available to the worms. Those bacteria and microbes are helping break down the available material for the worms to feed on more easily and coating every bit of material with yummy goodness!
2. The spray gets stinky because it starts to go anaerobic (lacks oxygen to feed the good bacteria and microbes) and produces a different kind of bacteria.
3. To keep the spray "healthy" like you said, just keep it bubbling it will continue to produce good bacteria, but it is also good to use up as much as you can. Eventually the bacteria will die off.
Hope this little bit helps!
That is extremely helpful thank you so much for your comment I appreciate it!!
Just happy I could finally contribute something to you! I love your channel and watch every episode as soon as I can!
You said it so beautifully, how not many people will share the things that you share but you share them because people need help 🙏 beautiful soul you must be an amazing person❤.
🙏🏽☦️❤️
He he I would call it sweet spray. 😋 nice to see the worms collect on d surface. Gd luck dear.
Thank you so much that’s a cute name😊
Thank you for sharing your tips.
I live in Japan and always enjoy your video.
I will try the spray. I may call it sweet shower or happy shower. :)
Man, now I want Strawberries! Lol❤
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I am an elderly pensioner in Australia, I lost my beautiful garden I had built , and now have a very small yard space where I am making home made worm farms ( new to it but have learned mu from the generous people sharing on UA-cam , like yourself, and I am going to be able to sell small farms locally to supplement my meagre pension now that food and rents are skyrocketing, and I can love what I'm doing as a big bonus !! So I very much appreciate your time and kindness in sharing freely . I could not pay for information at this time in life . Bless you .
Aw!!! Thank you so much I so appreciate your comments! Yes this is why I teach people a lot of people are struggling and it’s better to have your own compost so you could have your own food. And possibly make an income
Worm Whiskey!
🤣 love it
Love your Fun Attitude ! You do Laugh at yourself.... I Love it ! I use molasses in my garden ( learned ancient Indians did this ) and I think it is a great idea for the worms!
Thanks for the Tips since I Never raised worms before and it is all New to me.
I like improving the Earth. We take so much from it to live ; so it is Good to Improve the Soil with the Worms Contributions. People think I am Crazy, but that is ok. I Know the goodness behind the Hobby.
The elixir of life! Would be what I would call it.👍
That's awesome!!!! :)
21 years, awesomeness!! I'm 9 months in but love it. So much to learn. Thanks for sharing your spray, makes total sense !!
Magic Microbe Solution (MMS) is all I could cone up with 🤣
Have a great weekend
Cheers
Hi Clive!! I’ve been watching your channel for years 😊
@@TheGardenAndWormLady awesome!! But we just went past a year !! I started our worm "careers" last December :))))
I also mix in dried molasses into my bedding. Smells good anyways. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks with us. I love the sweet tea in the pink bottle!
The worms absolutely go crazy for it 😂
There i was just about to ask if making worm casting tea with molasses to supercharge the microbial activity would work better and by the time I finished typing there you were talking about it 🤣 for anyone else doing the aerated tea, give the excess to your plants and they'll love it.
P.s. constantly aerating the tea has kept a batch good for two weeks for me. Though I had to add more molasses to it to keep the microbes happy after a while.
How about calling your spray " The Super Worm Elixir " lol
Great video and thanks for sharing your secrets 😉👍👌
let the rabbit manure dry out then put it through a blender, course grind seems to work in place of a grit added for digestion and dryed out it will store easy in ziplock bags (and can be sold to others at the flea markets)
So the bucket and air stone has been around since the 1970s. Still works. Thanks
I’ve been using one for years, I have replaced mine couple of times already but I think it works great
It starts smelling like fermented molasses…nasty stuff! Molasses and water is what I’ve been using and it makes a huge difference! I I have a 3oz bottle that I use with about 1/4tsp molasses to warm water. I did try using worm tea once but I ended up using the rest on our poor sad looking lawn. I like the idea of doing it in a super small batch. I don’t think it’d be too difficult to make little 8-16 oz batches and keep the bubbler in it for several days.
Thanks for sharing.
Oh yes the smell🤣 I love the smell of molasses reminds me of gingerbread cookies. This process has worked great 😊
Yeah, beware doing it for days. I’ve tried and I haven’t gotten the balance right, it seems to go stinky after 2-5 days. Unsure if I am not using enough castings or molasses or not enough bubbles. Goes from smelling like sweet forest cookies to warm trash. So sad!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
It’s my pleasure 😊
The rabbit pellets might be better smashed because the worms, from what I understand, are after the microbes. I blend all vegetable matter in a food processor and the freeze it and my worms scarf that stuff up in a day. I have access to horse manure that I compost several weeks and then mix with my compost bedding.
Yeah, I love to see the worms all jazzed about their food!
I love to see them all jazzed up too🤣
I usually smash it a little or put it underneath the surface but I wanted to see what they would do
Thanks so much for your not so secret anymore secret...your passion and perseverance inspire me ..only one worm bin here and do need to learn more from great teachers like you. Guess I will also be keeping worms until worms enjoy my company most somewhere 6 feet under LOL :) Thanks again!
🤣 you’re most welcome, I enjoy everything I do and teach you all
Not all professional worm farmers are willing too.
How about "Worm Mist" (mist is German for manure)
I soaked rabbit manure overnight, with the straw and all, then put it in one side of my worm bin. Over the next 6 months that bin became the most prolific breeder bin I've ever seen. It was incredible, just added extra as needed. But I had to stop because I had too many worms for my space.
It’s wonderful isn’t it? I’ve mix it with straw and I’ve also mix it with pine shavings. The Worms go crazy for it. It’s good that you stopped or the worms will self regulate their population. At that moment if you want to grab Worms and start a second bin you can.
@@TheGardenAndWormLady yes they do, and thank you for sharing your experiences with all of us, it's been a great help.
I call it worm booster spray
Glad to hear about the pumpkin mixture. I have one for the worms. Thanks for the formula for the spray. Worms look great. Mine should arrive today.
Clarification: Did you say that you sometimes spray not only diluted molasses but also worm tea onto the worm bins? (as opposed to using worm tea only on the garden). Thanks.
Yes the worm tea I make in the bucket with molasses mixed in, but if it’s not extremely strained the shelf life is minimal unless you use a bubbler. Even with a bubbler it’s not that long. In the winter here I usually stick to molasses because garden is closed.
Just looked at the link you have attached and looks great but I just don’t have that spare money- that’s 2 weeks food for me and my dog, and a weeks money- I don’t work so just can’t afford it no matter how much I wish I could.
Think I’m gonna have to pray I can keep learning little bits here and there and support people where I can, if it’s only a few £/€/$
Thank you for your inspiration donation!!!! Right now I could use some inspiration, and I’m glad I was able to give you some🤗

Thanks, it’s appreciated. I’m gonna try moving my breeding worms into bus boxes like you have as they have arrived. So hopefully this week I’m gonna change my set up from buckets to them and keep the buckets to make into grow up buckets when they hatch and that.
And you gave me the courage to try. As it ment buying them and hadn’t managed to find anything that wasn’t too expensive. But I got 6 buss bins for £20. Which was good. They smaller then a washing up bowl but the same sense so may buy more like this if it works for me or change to washing up bowls if I need em deeper. I’m hoping this way they won’t get too wet
@@cherylhowker1792 breeding worms only need about 3 inches of bedding because you were going to harvest them every 21 days to get the cocoons.
@@TheGardenAndWormLady 14x11x4.5 inches are the size I got. So should be ok. How many should I put in there would you say? Thanks for your it’s much appreciated.
Thanks for that. I've been planning to make worm Tea to sell. How long does the tea last if it's been airated with the bubbler?
With a steady bubbler, I’d say about two weeks maybe a little longer. Without the bubbler two days.
Im learning so much that I now have 100 worms. Never thought a girl from Jersey would be in the garage playing with worms but here I am. 😂 I thank you! Question: Early morning, can I spray worm tea directly onto plant leaves?
I’m a Jersey girl too😂🪱
Yes, you can spray the warm tea on your leaves. I heard a man in Alaska say one day that he created a coding on the leaves that prevents nasty bugs from eating your garden plants.
Questions about using castings & molasses Tea,, I have never put tea into my bins before,
So you add Tea,,, with every feeding ? , How about when the bins gets dry ? Especially now it's winter..
I like to wet shreds with chunks left from sifting . Let them sit for a week or so before I start a new bins.
Can I use Tea instead of water to soak the shreds , or just put a bit of Tea in. If so,, How long can I let it sit before I add worms ? Will the shreds just go sour if there is no worms.
My wigglers and I, want to Thank You and your Hubby,, For all the hard work , Love n Care you put into making videos for us.
Cheers from Toronto Canada
Aw!! Thank you that’s so sweet 😊
To keep the bins moist I would just use water like you always do. The warm tea or just the molasses water that you would make is just two or three sprays on the surface of your bin when you feed. I’ve never soaked my entire bedding in that but I’m pretty sure it will go anaerobic.
I'm giving them their chow with a couple of sprays now. Thank you 🤗
@@cheersmeme it will make them excited and chunky 😊
Is it true that worm tea repels insects when sprayed on your plants?
Yes it does there’s a man who gardens in Alaska and that’s all he uses
Hello, I live in Germany and I'm thinking to get into the worm business!!looking for a job from home...and I love worms...already have one bin...do you make a decent living out it??thanks for your advice!!
Well even though I’ve been raising Worms almost 21 years this is only my second year in business so right now I am just breaking even. I expect as time goes on I will do better. I have a part-time job outside of the house. It all depends in your country I’m not sure what year selling abilities are there. I tried to put the subtitles also in German
@@TheGardenAndWormLady thank you,I'm actually french and speak English fluently so I understand what you say!!but it could interest some people to have German subtitles.thak you for your answer....would have to start small...I have a basement with space...maybe I can start on a small scale...how much do you sell your worms for??good luck for your business!!
Worm juice 😂
Definitely needs to be unsulphured molasses to help increase the bacteria. 👍
Haha I seen elixir in another comment. Vee’s worm elixir 😁
🤣
Is honey also usable?
Yes
I would call the spray worm doping.😂
🤣
Texas Worm Ranch calls theirs Worm Wine.
You mentioned heating your room where the worms are located. I’m new to worming and I have some red wrigglers in a tub. What is the ideal temperature?
Anywhere between 65-80
They could go higher in temps up to 88 or 89 But they could die . I’ve had them as low as 33 in my garage they did fine. They slow down but they were still alive
Would you think llama poop is same and rabbit poop and it is not hot?
I have read that llama poop is a cool compost. So you can feed it right away like rabbit poop
Loco Cara ha? lol
Name it VeeSugar for worms.!!
What is chow?
It’s a blend of dry ingredients that makes worm feed.
Worm elixir
How about calling it...Lickety Spritz ? 😅
Supa dooper worn potion.
Biospritz
