The only thing I would’ve of done differently is make sure the trailer was empty before raising the landing gear and hooking up the airlines and lights Great video 🚨👌
@@Smooth_Operator_83 hear that. Now for your large car if you haven’t already installed one look into an Amsoil’s oil bypass to keep that oil clean as can be.
Just a pro tip. Before you move your dolly call it in to make sure its good to go. As a long time driver for fedex theres drivers who dont redtag and it sux to hook up your set just to be told your dollies red taged
I am going to be totally honest with you from my experience. Yes. A lot of times you only have a 15-30 min window or margin of error from the time you leave one terminal and the eta at another terminal. Most of the trucks are governed at 65 mph so this makes this more difficult. Most of the time you get released late on the front end so that decreases your margin of error even more. Anything 15 min past the eta they start calling you. I personally don’t stress about it anymore I get there when I get there. Don’t get me wrong I try to make the hit time, but if I have to use the restroom or take a quick nap I will. Better to be safe. My contractor is pretty understanding.
Ok I appreciate it, because I just had an offer for a dedicated 588 mile round trip position and everything sounds good, but I see this same position that meets at Tom brook VA a lot so just a little nervous..
@@Smooth_Operator_83At FedEx Express we have what the bean counters called a stem time. For example my stem time from West Columbia, South Carolina to North Charleston, South Carolina is 1 hour and 51 minutes. Our trucks have always been speed Limited to 65 mph. I do not pay attention to stem times, they are in my opinion bullshit. Stem times are created by our engineers to give management a feeling of efficiency and with that profitability. I haven't given a shit about a stem time in almost 2 decades. The engineers sit behind a computer enter some data and like magic a stem time is created. They have no real time or real life information to go off of. The only way that I would deserve discipline is if I sandbag the route. I never rush, don't need to and I haul freight that has to fly to Memphis.
@@happycommentator6773 absolutely safety first. Yeah ground has some way to calculate it also, but if a guy with the same route does it quicker than you in a regular basis then they expect that from you also.
About to get started with Fed Ex ground myself..Appreciate the video.
Thank you so much for this video Im going to start working for FedEx in two weeks driving doubles I’m exited 😊😊
I’m really glad you received value from it. I know my videos are all over the place, but it makes it all worth it when I receive a comment like this.
