Before backing the dolly connecting your emergency line and choking it out at the dolly will help keep your dolly straight as it activates the ram in the pintle hook. Nice video!! Keep on truck’N! FEDEX FREIGHT STRONG!
After hooking everything up I usually like to put air into the system and and open the valve on the tail trailer, just to make sure air is going through the whole system. Awesome video btw!!

I love that you're here to help educate. There's not enough of that anymore in this industry. It used to be the way, you help out your fellow driver...but the drivers coming in today aren't that old school trucker anymore and no one helps anyone. For some (me) its a lifestyle not a job...but for most today its the opposite. No pride. I see the pride in your videos! You are a "trucker" keep the shiny side up greasey side down driver! Pulled doubles for awhile. Liked the ending showing your struggles with the dolly! I am a male, 6 ft and 250 lbs, and there were times I struggled just as hard to move the dolly! A slight uphill grade suddenly changes all, especially if slippery
I just left Wyoming I’m at truck driver as well and this is a really nice way of teaching new drivers like you said on how to not drop their trailers so good job
Being a seasonal fed ex driver out of wichita ks, this video is pretty much spot on. The beeping is for low air pressure, and that includes the tires. Fed ex trailers has it set up when you hook up the air if a tire is low, it starts airing up the low tire to the set pressure. So if a tire starts to lose pressure faster than it can fill it, there is a lite that comes on on the trailer that let's the driver know to check your tires. I thought that was pretty cool when I started there.
As a driver for one of your outside carriers, Thank You!!!! I had a general idea how to do this but after watching your video I’m now 100% confidant I can handle it with no problem.
Your doing a good service a lot of people you see on some yards really don’t know how to get hooked and unhooked. I drive for fedex freight. Ok, THIS video takes me back. Almost 25 years ago, I pulled doubles for Carolina Freight carriers from 7pm to 3am. GREAT description of attaching and detaching. I marveled at the upgrades to the pintle hooks (We had not locks on the pintle), or bells going off, etc. This is so much safer. The 1st trailer was called the "LEAD", and the 2nd trailer was the "KITE." Kites are light things, so it was easy to remember that the "kite" went in the back. Really good job. And yes, I remember how heavy the "dollies" were to move around. We called them "Bogies", but the correct name is "Converter dolly." Hmmm.
I got to admit that T-Rex scared the s#!÷ outa me! Lol. Great tutorial it was informative and fun including which way to spin the landing gear crank handle. 👍
