Enjoyed this short video. I lived there in the 70s, dad was with HHT, 2/11 ACR. You can still see the X-ing marks on the street where we, as kids, crossed when going to school. There was a little platform between the 'chowhall' / messhall and that pillar where us kids would hang out sometimes. Looks as cold as I recall those winters in BK.
I was 84-85 C-Btry 2nd 41st FA. There used to be a little trailer there near where you were standing, the made and sold pizzas there. Great pick-up after calling it a night and heading back to the barracks from downtown. It was a good little post, and the town and surrounding areas was beautiful. Also, I found the people to be very nice.
