Its still a bit weird how, if a character is an NPC they are vocal, but if you pick them as the character you play, they are suddenly mute 😅
would love a mod or an official update to make them.. not mute.
@@hyena3028weirdly they wanted you to feel as the character, Tav was supposed to be voiced and not mute, you can even find some of the recordings in the game files.
@@Pottasium92 haven't played the game itself but pretty sure making them mute when you play them is not the right way of making the players feel like the character.
@@stevenastillero9599 IIRC at the beginning BioWare was behind this game but then they changed but anyway usually they get this point wrong, that’s why Master Chief didn’t show his face for a long time and that’s the formula they used with dragon age origins(MC not talking)
@@Pottasium92 Oh yeah, dragon age originas, tried that one for a bit. As cool as it seemed at first, yeah, mute mc is odd if not really ruins the game and/or immersion. I just try to not think too much about it I reckon but yeah.
This is worse in BG3 since you can play as the characters that normally speak when you are not playing as them.
Sigh. The most difficult moment in BG3 when your favourite girl #1 can slaughter your favourite girl #2. I always try to reduce the tension to make sure no one dies. I am talking as playing Tav/Durge. Never played Shadowheart's, Lae'zel's or Astarion's origin becouse I'd miss their personalities and interactions with them too much. Thx for uploading, otherwise I'd never seen it 😘

Think I rolled intimidation to get them to stop (spamming the Friends spell). In my headcanon my Durge said "If you two start fighting I'm going to fucking kill you both." Probably wouldn't have fazed Shadowheart but I later discovered death threats turn Lae'zel on. So likely neither was actually scared lol.
@@wafflingmean4477 Oh, yes, me and Lae'zel are having this in common. I absolutley fell in love when Lae'zel said ,,Abomination, this is your end!!!'' I can only dream that my real life girlfriend would say something this romantic to me, not to mention point her beautiful sword at me. Besides in my imagination:

At first I thought Lae'zel was a weird design choice as a companion character, since she is just unbearable from every angle.
But it appears, some people really like it.
@@AliothAncalagon Her character changes a lot/you see the real her as you get closer. She's actually the most loyal choice for a mate once you can get through her tough shell. Shadowheart is similar in a way (which is a good story choice to make them not get along) because her outwardly hostile and cold attitude is also just a defense mechanism.

Why arent any of the companions like, "Lae'zel is dead? Omg this is terrible, wtf??". Instead theyre all like "🤷🏻 F."

Karlach seemed to be genuinely mournful. There weren't any waterworks because she'd known Lae'zel for like a week tops and I don't think weepy is Karlach's style to begin with.
Otherwise, I get the feeling they were all half expecting that dagger to have their name on it.
Lae'zel has the personality of a cactus, why cry for her?

Most are slightly more interesting than a pet rock. A few are actually good.
Play the game, the companions are really interesting and you actually learn more about them in a more realistic pacing. Can’t think of a game I played that had better companions
Wow it's almost as if a game that can take 80 hours to finish cannot condense all that development in a 3 minute and 20 second video 😮
The companions and the story are why I have not bought this game. On top of that add Larian's knack for adding stupid mechanics and the tendency to walk away from unfinished projects.
