An anamorphic fitness video I shot with my friend Ray in NYC last month on the red komodo. Wanted to test out the setup composed of a helios 44-M and Kowa anamorphic scope. Used a step up ring on my rapido focuser to attach a freewell variable ND. Graded in Davinci Resolve. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions!
Great footage, the Helios make the job with it typical swirly bokeh 👌 witch anamorphic mode did you choose ? 6:5 or 4:3 ?
Good question! I think I went 6:5 since I wanted a bit more crop. I have a canon speedbooster permaglued so it had a heavy vignette especially with the step up and vari nd
Amazing video and so well shot, you can feel the energy!!
Thank you! and thanks for watching!
Dope
Thanks brother!
@@animusvisual we need more of these from you
@@PAINFULLYGIFTEDVISUALS hoping to do a new one tomorrow weather permitting!
@@animusvisual dope my komodo gets here Monday
Which Rapido did you use? The new 24a or the 16a? Thanks!
Used the original 16a!
Very great! There are many dynamic shots, and the selection of the background of the person is also wonderful! !! Your footage is always professional!
Thank you for your kind words. Waiting for covid regulations to ease up so I can come back and visit Nihon
@@animusvisual Next time I want to see you in Japan!
hi, is it possible to mount lens directly behind the scope? i see some threads
I feel like that's the normal way. If you mean closer clearance I suppose if you don't use any threads or adapters you can probably put them where they touch each other but will need some kind of full support for your scope to stay in place then seal the light out of that join, maybe gaff
@@animusvisual yeah, Im just wondering if its possible to mount the lens directly with out any clamp? Love your work..it actually inspired me to buy kowa 16h..how did you mount your scope on taking lens?
@@docteja2374 that's awesome man, really enjoy it. I used a clamp from Raf that's custom made for the kowas that has male threads. I then use a step down ring to connect to the taking lens thread
Good stuff my friend!
Thanks for Watching!
