For examples, there are several Ezhava and other lower caste families in Manarcad and other Christian centers share their family names with Syriac Christian families in about 20 mile radius. A well-funded study is needed on this topic.

We cannot depend upon the 'system' for anything as they act for the interests of those who pays them. But don't confuse the 'system' with the truth. We have strong biblical & scientific reasons to consider the notion of 'races' as irrelevant.
Biblically, all humans on Earth were children of a single human couple Adam & Eve who were directly created by God.
The only commandment that God gave to Christians regarding marriage is that a Christian should marry another Christian. If God has granted permission to marry irrespective of the so-called 'race', why should we impose a different law or custom?
In addition, the opposition to intercaste marriage within Christian congregation primarly stems out from the idea that certain castes are somehow superior than certain others. That idea is in direct contradiction to Bible's teachings.
And scientifically, the human genome project data shows that unlike other species, genetic differences within our species is so small that those differences can be considered insignificant.
