Interesting mix of kid-and adult-oriented commercials here. 0:35--Admittedly I never cared for Lucky Charms, but I always liked the commercials. 4:31--Ertl toys were made in Dyersville, Iowa (not far from my hometown of Waterloo) back then. I think that is still the case, even though Ertl is now owned by Tomy. 8:07--I remember when Kellogg's advertised their version of Raisin Bran as having "Two BIGGER scoops of raisins"! 8:38--Happy Days is a classic. It sometimes resurfaces on the retro network MeTV. 9:09--I don't seem to remember this particular Crispix commercial, but it has a great jingle. 9:40--What ever happened to Tree Top juices? I haven't seen that brand in ages.
Holy cow! I had completely forgotten about that Skip Stick commercial! I was about 3 years old when these commercials aired. It's funny how you don't know you have a memory until something triggers it.
That firetruck girl sure has some EPIC ears! We won't be outgunned but we sure will be laughed at! The pussification begins! Ernie Anderson V/O on AFTER BURNER! Those non-kids ads really break the flow of the good memories. They're still good commercials, but where I'm from they'd never have those during my kids shows!
Winston Zeddmore Fyi btw *Fun Fact* That role was originally given to Eddie Murphy in the 1984 Ghostbusters. But declined because his movie beat it in the box office and was the highest grossing movie in that year. Can any of you all name that movie
@DanZero77 The non-kids ads are explained by this tape containing part of the Brady Bunch. This aired a bit later in the afternoon...when you'd see more ads for adults/teenagers.
OMG! Skip Stik! i remember having that and that ribbon dancer thing that always got tangled around its own pole those Wee Wild Things have a terrrible name and are butt ugly. Pogo Ball Blaster-another active toy, imagine that! i wonder how many disturbed teens either dropped acid or smoked weed while watching "My Little Pony" Tree Top girl looks like Qwenyth Paltrow I LOVE Crispix! they're hard to find. i want that cat clock
@ihatestalkers Coca-Cola owned Columbia back then, and Coca-Cola Telecommunications was set up in 1987 to distribute the syndicated episodes of "The Real Ghostbusters" (Seen here), as well as "Dinosaucers" and the last two seasons of "Punky Brewster".
Good for you, Breddah. Now please, get OUTTA of the way with your [no offense intended] new fangled craziness that is COPYING & trying to capitalize off the Real Hot Shit from the 80s, and let us people who remember GOOD stuff continue enjoying ourselves with commercials that are worth more than HALF the shows airing today, including [NO offense], this one you are such a big fan of. Sorry for the interruption, folks; we now return to the awesome. 80s CV, we SALUTE your freaking cool!

i remember some of these commercials as they did go through early 90's, born in 89.
Even "Regular Show" misses the 80s.
Oh, I remember (sucking at) Pogo Ball.
Last time I saw After Burner was on Angry Video Game Nerd.
that's the great charlie perfume signature model and ex-charlie's angels star, shelley hack, in the treetop commercial. what a beauty!!!
Brian, there's a message in my Alpha-Bits, it says "Ooooooooooo"
Peter, those are Cheerios...
Watching while in bed. What away to fall asleep. Gonna be totally rad dreams dudes.
Awe, My Little Pony
Oh man! Did Afterburner look awesome or what?
wee wild things! i had forgotten those!
Holy cow, Arseno Hall was the voice of the black guy in the Real Ghostbusters. Awesome
Winston Zeddmore Fyi btw *Fun Fact* That role was originally given to Eddie Murphy in the 1984 Ghostbusters. But declined because his movie beat it in the box office and was the highest grossing movie in that year. Can any of you all name that movie
Skip stick.....I so wanted one...lol, seems so corny now.

Dang, I thought the last lady was gonna lay a heavy PSA on me, not get serious about Treetop juice
Is that Mel Blanc or Paul Winchell as the announcer in the Raisin Bran commercial? It sounds like Paul.
Oh, and it's AFTERBURNER!!!

@80sCommercialVault Ah, interesting! Thanks for the info!
The Tree Top Girl is Suzy Amis.
@morningblue84 It's Paul Winchell
cartoons were awesome then, but ponies were crap. now ponies are awesome and cartoons are crap. somehow, i'm okay with this.
