Hi Dad, thanks for sharing that flight. IMO the DJI Mini 2 SE is the best value for the money of any available drones. You may want to consider investing in the Tripltek 8" tablet, 1300 nits. It is heavy, but add the Sky Fire Aerial controller enhancement kit and use of the tablet is very convenient.
I always think back to a few years ago with your early content, (Mavic Mini era). Your hikes you'd do. Your crazy excitement was priceless. Lol.. Mavic Mini, YES!! Haha.. This is also my favorite spot to watch you fly.
+Aerial View Creations one of my favorite flights to rewatch. One of the safest flights a drone can make. Makes for magnificent footage with a more capable camera. This mini controls well. 99% connection throughput the entire flight.
I tried the same having watched this flight a little while back, it did not work out very well. I only got up about a third of the way up, because I had the ceiling height set at 300 ft. I did know that, but assumed I had enough to get to the top. Totally Totally got the perspective wrong. I know now you have made that flight once or twice before. Am now going back to the video to go through it again and maybe again. Thank you.

Your video is outstanding, actually better than other videos comparing the two. Can you advise on the difference? I noticed that you had different props on your Mini. Can you advise why you changed them, and is there any other modifications you have made to the camera? Your videos are convincing me which is better. Thank you for any help you may provide.
+@Graybear78 the mini 2 SE has a better quality lens and image sensor. The same camera as the mini 2 cropped down to 2.7k. You will get better image perfection the DJI bird than the Potensic Atom. 4k has different qualities from company to company. Trust me, the DJI system is better in more than just the camera. The control system is better, and the batteries are flexible, and easy to find. You can fly with two types of batteries with the DJI system.

You didn’t say what you said your height limit to. Since the FAA only allows you to fly 400 feet above your position and no higher, I assume you got authorization to fly at 1500 feet?
You need to first understand what AGL means. 107 Pilots all do. New pilots don’t. The altitude the drone says is not the AGL height. The altitude the pilot stands at is not the altitude the drone is above the ground.
Technically you can go 400 ft above the top of that also....all aircraft fly higher when there's a building or obstacles ...its not 400 feet above sea level or even 400 feet above the operator...the 400 ft limit is above the terrain that's below the drone
unless you use an iphone you`ll find it rather difficult to get the app on your android device. i havnt figured it out yet. need to watch move how-tos on it.

The reason I am asking this very important question is to determine the forward, backward movements are with respect to operator (course lock) or with respect to the front position of the drone?
My advice is sure you hear home point updated. If not land and check volume etc.also it will fly inside fine. Wait on it to get gps lock on. First few times in building is a good idea. So it won't get away from you set on slowest mode and gentle on the sticks. Just easy does it and get used to it. It will run into things if you tell it to. But be slow and easy and worst will likely be dinged up props.

Stay close to the rocks, and you will be ok. Remember the drone is smaller than the image you see

ND filtering some of the white light 💡 may help, problem is, the sensor may struggle late in the day or early morning.
My 2 great grandsons were watch your videos ,they have never seen such country with no trees ,11 and 7

No, the mini 2 does not, as well as the mini 3 standard. Only the mini 3 pro has obstacle avoidance
