just got a film camera and i am quickly realizing how difficult and or time consuming shooting 36 exposers on a roll of film is, i have been trying to get a full roll shot but its been hard to find compositions worthy of snapping a shot, i respect the craft so much, and i feel i was the same way shooting on digital, even when i look picture on digital i never shot just to shoot, i only shot scenes that where worth my time.I love the inspiration and enjoying watching these videos so much!

Omg I love that shot at 14:45! I think the fact that you got the persons back tells a slightly better story that leads the viewer to build their own story about where the person is walking to, what’s in the bright red bag, etc. I imagine it’s a guy bringing a gift to his wife or one of his kids or something!

You could combine those last 2 shots in the alley into one to get rid of the stroller. Nothing wrong with a little composite, even if it's film. It's not like you are adding elements to a photo that weren't there.

Ultimately I enjoy most of the music that you use, as it effectively creates the atmosphere you're creating, but I will say that as someone from the south of the United States, it's kind of cool to hear country/bluegrass music in here, even if it's not the kind of music I'd normally listen to anyway.

I’m planning on traveling with my film and was wondering if you have any tips/know if it is safe for used, unused, and film still in the camera to go through the X-ray machines in security? Thanks so much!

Yashica Golden 80s is just the Fujifilm Simple Ace 400 from disposable cameras rebranded.
Try one of these films and compare the tone curve of them developed, it is the same.
For better comparison, remove the film from the disposable camera and load it in the same camera you used the Yashica 80s.
It's quite simple to remove 😊

To me the film has the feel of a Kodak 400 consumer film (not a Portra or cinema film) -- the faded blue skies, overall warm tones and not-punchy greens. Decent grain. Are you mostly shooting a 50mm lens? You might be able to pull in your subjects a little more, without having to get closer, with a good, vintage 135mm f2.8 lens. Cheers!!!

No, it is the real sound that my Pentax makes - just taken from the Gopro audio. Maybe it sounds different to what you know because of the GoPro mic? But actually it does sound pretty much like that in real life, maybe less asmr-ish.
Sooo the question now is... is your Pentax or mine the one making weird noises haha :D

Yeah I’m not very confident. The warmth feels Kodak-y but the contrast and saturation are punchier on Ultramax I feel. But I can’t imagine that they source their film from Fuji.. Fuji can’t even source it themselves😅😂
