I don’t think I can hate her because she’s just a perfectionist and very detailed-oriented when it comes to creating. That’s what make (G)I-DLE amazing.
Soyeon is so small, but she has such a commanding presence. It's fascinating.
For those who hate Soyeon. Yea, it may be true that she looks intimidating and kinda gives a forcing aura to the other members (probably during choreo and recordings. Well, she been into many competitions and been a trainee for a long time that might end up making her the perfectionist she is now, plus THEY do have the goal to be on top). But have you ever thought that maybe they get it, they understand since she's the leader and they trust her that she knows what's best for them? You people just judge a person in your perspective from the side of the screen.
I love Soyeon so far she is the Best Leader In their Generation for GG.

I thought of un pretty rap star, produce 101, the fact that she was turned away by companies a lot, people bashing her appearance saying she was ugly etc.
She's a born leader, I only follow and know handful of kpop leaders. only a few exudes that aura and power. I saw it on RM--tho he's kinda soft on the first look, he gains respect because of his responsible and i-can-get-anything-done type of personality, Hanbin on the other hand is straight up strict, like a tiger, he gets anything done thoroughly, no half-cooked project. Jihoon and Hyunsuk--Jihoon in particular have this air where everyone keeps asking about his opinion and say because they know they can trust his judgement, Hyunsuk is fun on fun situations, but serious on serious situations (they fill each other's void in leading), I'm not deep into red velvet but Irene have this particular air as well, idk them well but looking at her screams "respect me" and power. If blackpink has a leader, it's obviously Jisoo, not because she's the oldest, but because she has the qualities and like what I said, the freaking "air" Jisoo's smart as well.
Soyeon, freaking meticulous and perfectionist, tho it may sound as a bad thing. She use this wisely, like hanbin she doesn't like half-cooked projects. Looks like someone who won't take shit and look down on because she knows damn well her skills and capabilities. Someone who hates it when people use crying as a weapon.
If your faves aren't here, it might be because I don't know their group yet, or they just don't make me feel the air or aura the leaders I’ve mentioned has, but this doesn't make them a bad leader, this opinion is a personal preference.
your notion that somehow you need to be "scary, strict, intimidating" to be a good leader couldn't be further from the truth.
Jihyo doesn't bear any of those characteristics that you mentioned above and yet she is a pretty damn good leader.

I didn't hate my eyes because my eyes didn't beautiful enough but I hate because my eyes likes to staring at people face no matter if the person didn't talk to me or talk to me or doing something. In Korean(okay, maybe asian in general) culture, if I'm not mistaken, direct eye contact is considered rude.
I don't know why, maybe it has to do with all of that hierarchy system and that looking into someone's eyes might seem as if you were challenging them or something.
I'm asian but never heard that statement 'direct eye contact is considered rude'. So its not true. It depends on the person (I'm not sure how to describe it).
Perhaps it depends on the relationship that you have with the person that you're talking to. If he/she is your senior that you're not close with or a person who has higher position than yours or a stranger, I think it would be rude if you will intensely stare at them unless very necessary.
