Why aren't they wearing Teslik-shoes? My complete image of latvian athletes is destroyed! But as the commentators mention Sigulda - I've been there, what an amazing track. In the summer you can ride it down on a bobsleigh with wheels, steered by a nice (and hell fast!) babushka. No wonder they are so good in this sports.
@@Gio_Panda Why? The meter is just an arbitrary made up measurement that relates to nothing. I was a Master Machinist for over 20 years and I never, ever used metric measurements and, my customers were located all over the world. We always worked using the Mil or .001" which is much more accurate than a MM which is .03937". I converted the few drawings we received in MM to Inches before making the parts. The Metric system is arbitrary and makes no sense at all. Use whichever you like as it makes no difference to me but, like most Americans, I will never change.

I think it's better is they're heavier. Some of these teams have a not so skinny pilot. So much of the weight can be at the front of the sled.
