Thanks again. Just got this for Christmas and the initial blade install was tougher than I thought it should have been. Good to know it’s the saw design and not me.

I got this saw as part of a multi-tool pack at Costco. I tried for 30 minutes to install that damn blade, watched all the UA-cam videos and finally gave up. Never could get it on!

Haha! Me too. It’s always a good idea to take the batteries out before changing the blade on an power saw boys and girls.

Thank you for your video. It was easy to understand. It’s better than the manual.

Thanks for the tutorial. I got as far as putting the new blade on but thought you might have to take off the guard. Turns out you just have to force that bad girl in there

Huh. I can’t seem to fish the blade in with the guard in the way.

Should have mentioned that a blade left saw has reverse threads. Also mention to check the direction of the arrow on the blade to make sure it matches the arrow on the saw.

They will figure that part out I'm sure as it won't tighten 👍

Follow up: I was FINALLY able to get the blade installed. The issue was, even when you push the blade guard all the way open, you have to pull up on the area where the black guard lever is because it blocks the blade from going in. Folks, I never had this issue with a Dewalt or a Craftsman. This is just a cheap, crap saw and i'm sorry I bought it. I'll be getting a Dewalt or Craftsman ASAP and will just sell this one for whatever I can get for it.

No no never I've already had my fair share of being chewed out in the past by osha for bending nails in my guards on a commercial site tieing cords etc just things that get imprinted on memory after you get chewed out by atleast 5 people then get harped on for a week lol safety thing is with these batterie saws there's just no way I'd take the chance ever because even tho there's a safety its still live like say you're trying to get the nut loose you leave it over on something scrap whatever safety disengages unknowingly them you grab the saw another way to get leverage accidentally trip the trigger God forbid . Accidents happen only thing you can do is to try and prevent them all it takes is a few seconds to take preventive measures

Like one time myself and 2 other guys was in the boom attachment getting raised up we was a good 3 4 storys the driver hits the wall and straffs us all sideways we all had safety gear on and harnesses and that sht was not cool tools went flying fasteners a full spool of wrap hit me then fell was totally unexpected and freakin scary foreal

Nice! Have you use this tool with kreg accu cut system? Is the upper guard made of metal or plastic? Tks man!

If you put a 6-1/2 in a 7-1/4 saw (diff of 3/4" or 3/8" depth), would you a more powerful saw? In terms of full depth of cut in a 1x with less blade mass to turn.

I usually jam a piece of wood up in there instead of using a stop button.

I don't get why PC made it so hard to insert the new one. Shouldn't have to jam it in there. Is there any trick to making that a smoother insert?

It's because it's poorly designed when it comes to replacing the blade. Buy dewalt or craftsman.

  • @samuelt2072
    @samuelt2072 5 років тому +1

Far as I'm concerned changing the blade on any kind of circular saw is a pain in the butt.
Had a forty tooth Freud blade on my Milwaukee saw - cut great.
Getting stuff out of the package is 90% of the job - see you had fun doing it (yuk yuk)

I couldn't disagree more. Owned a craftsman and a dewalt -- both saws, easy to replace the blade. No issues whatsoever.

I have the same saw and my blade I guess had a misprint 7 1/4 so I bought the replacement and did not fit!!!😱😱

A weak saw like that would struggle more with 40 teeth. I know my old 6 1/2 dewalt did.
