Shermy was stated once to be based on one of finns lines in season 2 "im a cat im an agile cat."
I think once you’re reincarnated in adventure time, you loose memories of your past life, thus living a new fresh life with no experiences. That explains why shermy acts all kid-like, much like Finn in the first few seasons
That would be true of it wasn’t for the “The Vault” and “Jelly Beans Have Power” episode. Finn learns exactly what Shoko went through in the “The Vault” episode. And PB learns how to control her element power by talking with one of her past lives in the “Jelly Beans Have Power” episode.

@@paxw37 Sure, but both of those events happened after a period of time just living. Finn didn't learn about his past lives until he was 15 or so and PB didn't learn about hers until she was around 800! Why are we expecting Shermy or Beth to have already have learned about or learned from their past lives? We're clearly shown people don't know this stuff from birth.

Beth pulled the new Finn Sowrd from the new Tree House... if you follow King Arthur logic that means Beth is worthy of the Finn sword... ooooorrrr shes just really really strong too hahahahaha
hopefully, they get their own spin-off TV series. With all the character arcs wrapped up and now Simons arc wtih Fionna and Cake I would like to see what happens with these two.
they already made plot with them in casper & nova so they could as well go along with it
i like it, shermy as finn and beth as jake would be to on the nose, if its a switch of roles that can help round out their souls
It make me really sad we never got to see these two again and explore there world . I hope we see them as cameo in the upcoming series Adventure time with Fionna and cake since it about a multiversal Adventure .
And yes Shermy is the reincarnation of Finn and Beth is tej reincarnation of Jake it was confirmed that Shermy is the reincarnation of Finn and we learnt about beth being the reincarnation of Jake in Together again when they reincarnated together so we know that beth is Jake cuz she's with Shermy
And so it did!!!

I really don’t think the character growth from Finn’s life in Ooo during the main series matters with reincarnation. I mean if a character grows in their previous life and keeps that growth then what’s the point in living a new life? I still think Shermy is Finn and Beth is Jake but unfortunately I don’t like either of these two characters but mostly Shermy. He’s just so annoying and obnoxious.

I would like to agree but the episode “Jelly Beans Have Power” totally disprove this. PB has an awakening and grows a ton because she is able to connect and talk with her past live. If it weren’t for Chatsberry’s knowledge PB would have never learned how to control her powers
@@paxw37 But isn't PB only able to communicate with Chatsberry because Patience St. Pimm "unlocked her mind" in a way with the elemental symbol on the piece of paper? I don't think PB kept her character growth from her previous life, only she had knowledge imparted to her by her previous elemental incarnation. I have to agree though, Finn's emotionally mature state at the end of Adventure Time seems closer to Beth than Shermy, and it is weird how Shermy is the one singing "On a Tropical Island".

I think the twist would be Shermy and Beth aren’t reincarnations of Finn and Jake at all. They can both be butterflies rn

I used to think that there's a finn and jake before Shermy and Beth. Then I realised there's only about 4-5 reincarnations of finn and jake. So there's probably no other reincarnates after Finn and Jake.
We also don't know how time goes by in the dead world, for all we know the entire episode of Together Again could be going on for the entire 1000+ years between Finn's death and Shermy and Beth's birth

This is a fun theory, but on top of all the other Finn parallels, the white patch on the end of Shermy's arm seems to be a reference to Finn's robot arm/ Shoko's missing arm. Also, following distant lands and Fionna and Cake, we know Finn far outlived Jake and never came to terms with his death - perhaps Shermy is his soul rediscovering that spirit of joy and wonder that died with Jake.
They could just be some dudes who found Finn's arm.
Finn was actually pretty wild in the first few season.
reencarnation doesn't means are the same person reincarnated. Dead Shoko ane Finn coexists at the same moment and he's different from Shoko. "Soul" is the motor but the personallity is developed by the brain and the environment.
I completely disagree with your interpretation. Early Finn was very excited and slowly grew to be more mature. Beth (like jake) is mostly a static character. They are mostly the same person from the beginning to the end

I'm more curious about what the heck HAPPENED to cause Ooo to fall into such a state after the finale.
We can see there must have been some kind of candy civil war, considering the wrecked candy fighter jets.
Considering starchy went AWOL maybe he later formed a resistance, or maybe Aunt Lolly turned Rouge at some point.
Oh, they already said in side material that one of Jake’s grandchildren went insane and used dark magic to kill turtle princess, and steal one of the ice Crown Jewels to become immortal and then turned his family into a despotic empire and overthrew most of the kingdoms, and then started a space armada. Try to take over the galaxy all while still having 1000 year beef with ice thing, trying to steal the rest of his power.
When I read the tittle I was like “obviously, it was confirmed, but let’s check up anyway ” but that was a twist theory, you could change the tittle to “shermy and Beth reencarnations is Jake and Finn “

@@paxw37Shoko's ghost existed alongside Finn. It could be the case that the Finn sword is a copy of Finn's spirit, that may be on it's own path now.

Nah Beth is clearly supposed to be Jake. With Shoko for instance she didn’t really share Finn’s personality while being his previous life. Not to mention when shermy found the Finn sword they did the whole hands in the air thing.

don't say it was the creator's intentions though. that makes it a bad theory. Shermy was clearly created to be the reincarnation of Finn, and those similarities being intended as a misdirect would just be bad design.

Well I wouldn't call Beth a reincarnation becuase she's just one of his grandkids if you follow the pup timeline so no it's not jake or finn sure they would be similar to jake as the are related but shermy could possibly be either of them

They are different ages though...Not sure if life saying they are a pair when reincarnated means they would be the same age
