I am really impressed with the Ark Gravity BFS Casting reel, I would like to have seen more of the Kastking BFS rods the light version of the Casting rod and the spinning rods as well!
Im a rod builder. I do sell rods. So my opinion may be biased. Most these BFS rods are not bfs. They are ML and L powered rods. Unfortunately Cashion blanks arent on the premium tier like NFC xray blanks. A gorgeous blank to build bfs on is the nfc xray P700-1. That should be what apl these companies are striving to be like.
Have either of you used the bass pro shop megacast mgt10LA? Might sound ridiculous but I try and shop local and I found one and it seems like it might work but I can't find a whole bunch to info
I recently got into BFS fishing with a more trout oriented setup, and documented my experience on my channel. And I listed you guys as well as Jimmy and Hunter as great resources. I'm really thankful for the content you guys put out on the topic but seriously you already have me wanting another BFS setup.
Here we are : April 2024. Ive been using the Ark Gravity BFS baitcaster reel . Its simply the best, hands down, for finesse fishing using the Mule Fishing Donkey swimbait and a 1/16 oz chartuese jig (from EuroTavkle) and Ive been catching EVERYTHING: bass, crappie, bluegill, sunfish. For the rod howerver, there are some thst claim “ultra light” but are really “light” , such is the case with Dobyns UL701C. Overall, the baitcaster is the real deal for BFS
Great video, I want one of each, that’s bait cast and spinning reel, I love the idea of bait finesse in a kayak with no electric motors pushing it, I love the challenge of catching small mouth bass with a rig making long casts and small baits! No sonar or motor noises gliding into a cove silently! You guys hit a home run with me!
Son of a @#$%^ ... can't get it till November...grrrr.... I'll be onto to something different and deep into my fall fish groove by then.... assholes... pardon my French

All for American Made. However, I live in Michigan as well. I can't afford to pay $200 plus for these things. and I love to fish with light tackle. it is a blast to catch a perch on the pier with long limber rod and 2 pound test.
The Aldebaran BFS is so DOPE, as well as the new Expride BFS rod. Did you check those out at the show? I was hoping I would run into you guys while at ICAST but never saw you. Maybe next year.
That St Croix Mojo Bass BFS rod sounds great, but the price you mentioned is way off. I checked Tacklewarehouse, and the 6'10" ML is $175. I so wish it was what you mentioned around $125-135.
Cashion Rods made in the wonderful United States and at around 100 bucks the best you can get 100%. The best “BFS” gear I saw was that SPINNING ROD from Cashion.. I know some Guys like to struggle with trying to cast 1/8 oz Lure with a Baitcasting Reel but Jesus’ I’m not one of those Idiots lol stay safe Paul….
The very first reel on that rod the red one it’s a daiwa tw something what’s the name the reel it’s on the st croix rod looks like a Daiwa tatula it’s red and black
I love what’s going on, but dang man,,, i can’t but this thing ,, it looks silly and doesn’t need the thick pool stick diameter or the weird handle,, but hey,, go buy it,, I’ll find a wooden handled Chinese rod that doesn’t twist in my hand, but looks classy.. different strokes for different folks I guess.

The ark gravity bfs has me excited - that might be the one that makes me pull the bfs trigger

Never heard of it…
@@aaanglers good to know, they're selling them at Cabela's

does the ark reel have a drag clicker? looks like a winner!
so does the Kestrel rod
Actually don’t remember if it’s a click knob or not
Thank god the guy from Ark explained it because the other two fellas used a whole lot of words but didn’t actually explain anything.
That's why we had to find Louie the owner of Ark. He is the man!
@@aaanglershopefully the reel test gets his hands on it soon

The braking system we showed off is what we really impressed us, so we had to talk about it!

Man some killer rods and reals the st croix and kast king are going to be my next purchase thanks for showing 👍
Rad!

Old18 has a good sub $200 lineup of rods for BFS, American made as well.
Of course they also have more expensive ones too.

Didn’t get a chance… sorry we missed ya!
Patiently waiting for some aggressively priced BFS gear for anglers with average wallets.
Ima try out that ArK BFS reel for sure. When is it coming out?
Later this year hopefully
The Haibo Arise Air is the exact same reel
at video 1:28,I like that reel. What reel is that? this is great for texas rig and wacky
Daiwa Salamandura
Does that ark reel have a clicking drag
Yes
@@aaanglers sweet should be a fun reel I just ordered that exact setup involker 2 I'm a shimano guy die hard but will not throw 450 on an alderbaran
That ark bfs reels is basically identical to the Haibo Arise Air in every single way, they’ve just put their name on it
That is because ark worked with Haibo to do it

That was what the st croix guy told us so… 🤷♂️
Then mojo bass rods those new ones are 180, the last model is 150 and up
When will the ARK bfs reel be available?
Probably later this year
That reel looks interesting but we all know what the best BFS reel is SHIMANO CONQUEST 23!
$125 to $130? Mojo Bass Trigon 6’10” ML is $175 on TW.
Yup, just looked that up too.

It's a Haibo clone w different grips
Haibo and Ark work together on it. So that makes sense
The very first reel on that rod the red one it’s a daiwa tw something what’s the name the reel it’s on the st croix rod looks like a Daiwa tatula it’s red and black
You don’t no what the name is the model
Daiwa salamandura bfs
I buy so much shit from those guys, hahahaha!
The reel is almost the same as the haibo arise air.
That is because the 2 companies worked together on it.
Yeah that ark is just a rebranded Daiwa
It's actually a cobranded Haibo Arise Air

cop an ARK or get phARKed
American made is the only way. Cost be damned. Gotta keep Americans working. China already has enough of our money, land and military intelligence
Nice to buy domestic when you can
😂😂😂 St Croix rods are not even in the top 5 of best rods on the planet. There slogan is laughable to say the least.
