It's okay if they don't agree with this type of investing, many of us do agree. I have 20 positions in high growth stocks. I'm getting 15 dividend pay checks, however I'm up 125 % this year. About $650k this yr, good dividend paying portfolio, although I use an F.A so buy as much as you can and wait for the rebound. Only the brave gets rewarded in these times!

@@shahmati5471 You probably already found the answer but you can't directly invest into an index fund, they don't do that. But you can invest in a n S&P 500 tracker - ETFs. Like the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF.
If any of you want to start trading instead but are scared of the risks, look at it this way! Most of you go shopping, or go out to eat, drink or buy stuff at the mall or whatever it is, you are basically throwing that money away with zero risk of gains! You have 100% lost your money. If you want to buy that same item, use that money to trade with instead and take the risk to make the instant profit with very very little chance of loss as he explained in the video so very well. You can not only get the same money to go buy that item now an no cost to you, but have a chance of profiting above the amount you were originally looking to spend! I have never been able to understand what to look for in a stock or the difference between the different kinds of stocks and investments. This was explained so well and I actually feel like I understand what to look for in a good investment now, thank-you for just giving us straight information without trying to sell anything. As soon as someone tries to sell me something, I immediately distrust their advice because I know they have a reason to lie to me. It leaves you feeling kind of paralyzed when trying to make a decision, when you don't know if you can trust the information you have been given.
I enjoyed this. I found that years ago, I was quite good at valuing stocks, but my 6 global index trackers performed even better.

I've been stuck on step number 3 (paying off your debts) for many years and giving what I made to the needs of my son and ex wife. So even though my child is a grown adult, more expenses are driven to me (education, medical, etc.) Every time I try to start a new life with a new woman in my life I realize that I cannot afford it so I always end up being alone.
