- Live At Montreux 1986 is a concert video release by the British band Talk Talk of a concert at 1986 Montreux Jazz Festival. The show was part of a tour that started in April 1986 to promote the band's recent album The Colour of Spring, and was to be their only appearance at Montreux, from their last tour. The video captures Talk Talk at the peak of their career.
For this tour, the usual trio of Mark Hollis (vocals), Paul Webb (bass), and Lee Harris (drums) was augmented by John Turnbull on guitar, two percussion players, and two keyboard players. As often, de facto fourth band member Tim Friese-Greene did not play on stage with the band.
My generation's music...
Your music generation is amazing, it sounds so current that I would like it to be a band from my generation. My respect!
Mark Hollis was a genius.
Yes he was
One of the finest bands ever. I love Mark's voice, Paul's bass, and Lee on that drum kit.
Interpretazione sublime e straziante allo stesso tempo. Questi erano i Talk Talk. Questi erano gli anni 80...❤
This music is very addictive in a strange but good way.
I remember buying 'It's my life' in '84, and being so intrigued by 'Tomorrow started' and 'Renee'. Then over the years it was followed by 'the Colour of spring', Spirit of Eden', and 'Laughing Stock' and I know I was witnessing something extraordinary. 40 years later, for me they are the greatest band in my lifetime.
❤ sempre nel.cuore Mark sei passato.anche da Torino che concerto meraviglioso Dio ti abbia in gloria ti voglio bene la tua voce mi tocca nel.profondo..aledetta melanconia il tuo cuore ne era pieno superbo cantore
Newcomer to T.T. There is no other music I wish to listen to. I hope I never fill up too full of the finest sounds ever.
The vibe around this performance is very deep
This shit is so fucking deep. So wish that I had seen them
Well said.
Very deep and mesmerizingly beautiful.
Indeed
Magnifique❤
One of my favorite bands. Wasn’t aware of them so much in the 80’s but discovered them in the late 90’s. Never forgot the impact “Spirit of Eden” had on me when I friend of mine played me the album in Berlin. Thank you for sharing this amazing concert, wished I was there. RIP Mark Hollis ❤

Gran tema !!!!. Genial.
👏👏👏👏👏
who is that on piano?? that guy’s a genius.
Tim Friese-Greene on keyboards. I still rate Talk Talk as one of the best bands ever, almost defying putting into any genre. Live at Montreux is my favourite of their live performances and is available on DVD still.
