@@RobReacts1 Your heart? or a gut feeling that if the top team can be taken down a peg all the better for … idk, Sydney?🎉 I’m sorry I didn’t sign up to your comp but having to guess the margin for every game seemed like a headache but where I tip amongst nearly 800,000 others I can tell you that tipping Port, I said 3 points, put me in the top 3%, you would have been 1%. BTW, I tipped otherwise to you on the last 3 games but chancing it is fun - I also laid a bet on Mark Allen before his first session with Selby.
Always hard to tip against your side but you just have to sometimes if you want to do well. As a Richmond fan for a few years there I didn't have to worry about tipping them but last couple have had to go against them sometimes.
Not in your tipping comp, but the one I am in got 8 this week. Made the mistake of backing Freo given they were home (and I'm not big on dogs). Geelong at home wsa always gonna be hard to beat, and I think once they jumped you the PTSD from the GF kicked in. There's an interesting school of thought around the coaches that should and shouldn't coach from the ground (basically Longmuir (Freo coach, not to be confused with Longmire) is being criticized for coaching from ground level because he's seen as a tactiician rather than a people person or inspiration). The Dees had me on the edge of my seat - I was out and watching the score on my app, but was worried as the Tiges seemed to hold an 18 point lead through the whole first half. Good result though. Can't stand the pies, but what an amazing game on Tuesday!! Saints at Marvel is hard to pick against....I could imagine Port beating them, but no way I would tip it (I think Port might have 3 injuries since last week too - but they are one of those "despite all adversity" type sides sometimes) Sydney should be angry and romp it in, but (not just to upset you) I'll be cheering the Giants Got a feeling Dees vs Kangasa will be closer than people expect.....Norf won't threaten Melbourne, but I could imagine a 4-5goal margin. Essendon vs Geelong will be a cracker - I don't entirely rate Essendon despite their start, but I agree with your Geelong assessment (and you have to understand they are a different team at their home ground). Richmond vs Gold Coats, I'm flipping a coin. Adelaide is having an unexpectedly good year (and as they showed in 2021 when they upset the Dees can bring it) - but I think you're brave picking them against the pies.
I told everyone... For real though, it was always gonna be tough for Sydney with their backline being as thin as it is at the moment. I’d expect them to bounce back though. Good game mate, it’s all in good fun 👍
You cant expect the Swans , or any team , to do well when you have the whole spine of your team out injured . That's the key middle line , Full back , Center half back, ruck , Centre half forward , Full forward. But the Cats were certainly on the ball and are starting to get going. Hers a free tip , the Cats play Essendon this weekend after just a 4 day turn around after the big ANZAC day game. I wouldn't be picking Essendon.
Wasn't expecting to beat Melbourne when we have 8 players under 25 games of experience playing, but it sucks when you're up by a decent amount and then lose, gives you false hope. Edit: certainly the reason everyone picked us to do well is beacuse we have a good list, but like 13 injuries, 5 or 6 to best 22 players and our key player in Lynch
This tough year I'm glad I'm not in any competitions. Sydney just fell to pieces against Geelong again. But my Saints keep winning! Dare I dream about September We are pretty even on our predictions except for Port. Beating my Saints, Cats v Bombers and Pies v Crows Good luck Rob. Go Saints ❤🩶🖤
I ended up with 8 from 9 last weekend, with the only game, Fremantle losing to W-Bulldogs. so my tips are for this weeks. even though I am not on the tipping sites, I do write them down on paper St. Kilda Brisbane Sydney W-Bulldogs Melbourne Carlton Geelong Richmond Collingwood I think the games to watch this week, are Adelaide/Collingwood, even though I am tipping against my team this time around, it should still be an exciting game to watch, these are two very good sides, I just don't think my guys are top 4 material just yet. St. Kilda/Port, I suspect that Saints will win, considering the fact that they have played against some really good sides, while Port they are on and off. Sydney/GWS, the game is a lot closer than what the odds are suggesting, I think there could be an upset on the cards here, the Swans aren't anywhere near where they need to be, then they have their injuries to key players.
I would say wait until halfway through the year before you replace the Coach. John Longmire has been coaching the Swans for over a decade and it is possible they may go with a Succession Plan with one of the Assistant Coaches that might replace him. It would be pre-mature to sack him now.
@@RobReacts1 Like I said, wait until round 11 or round 12, see where the Swans are and they will need to make changes if they loose too heavily from the top sides. Also need to consider the current Contract that the Swans coach has, trying to change to a different coach in a middle of a contract can cost the club financially which after 2020, most clubs don't really have that option even in their successful years. Personally think if something is wrong at the Swans that we are unaware of, it would be best for a succession plan to be used as a backup if the season goes pear shaped by Round 10.
I lost two again!! 😠 Go Port! 😁🎉 Geelong! 🙋 (Swans short some big players! Yes about the coach, the players are young and needed him!) Up 5 places, good job Rob! 😁 This week: I choose Port! 👍 Brisbane! 🥱 Come on Freo! 👍 Swans for sure! 🤗 Hawthorn will win (I'm loyal)! 😄 Melbourne! 🤨 Carlton definitely! 😄 Geelong! 👍 Richmond! 👍 Crows! 😹😎
Geelong vs Sydney result predictable when you lose 50% of your regular back line and only one tall forward. Swans still one of the youngest sides in the league as well. So not surprised at the 93 point loss.
Rob. Please don't use 'betting odds'. By doing this you make it easier for you to harvest wins. And it's not a good look for viewers especially kids to become addicted to gambling.
@@RobReacts1 agree. I've had decades of AFL immersion to 'get' the relative ebbs and flows of the game while you are relatively new to Aussie Rules. So! Fair enough Rob 🙂
Great picks! Thanks for the watch along the other morning. It was a blast!!
My pleasure. I want 9/9 this week 😁

Oh my goodness you were just one point off the score line! And hats off for living on the edge and tipping Port.
Haha I let my heart rule my brain and I won!

Absolutely loving the Port Adelaide tip👍👍👍 Best of luck this round.

I reckon you are one of the best promoters of the game at the moment. Keep it up and the AFL should present you with a medal at the end of the season.

Hey Rob how do I go in ur tipping comp or don’t u have a tipping comp
If Geelong is playing in Geelong it's not easy for a team to defeat Geelong at Geelong.
How to lose a game? Verse Geelong at Geelong

Ha, wooden spoon 2 weeks in a row, back to my normal tipping form, going the same way as my Roos. The first few weeks were a bit of an anomaly.
How... Just how are you doing so bad 🤣
@@RobReacts1 In true Tassie form, I always go for the underdog.

sydney are in a terrible place
What a cock up today!
wow, both Saturday night games around 100 points blow out
Picking Port may be a good move Rob. I’m picking Saints and I’ve got every first game wrong this season 😢.
Expect the dockers bite back if you go against them 😂😂😂
Longmire took your advice and is down with the players on the bench.
He did. And we blew it right at the death! Unbelievable
GWS might rise to the occasion and win !
yep they did

Do you realise how many injuries some teams have which is upsetting the balance of their teams we Richmond, West Coast and the Swans?
Could have had 9/9 if it wasn't for Fremantle. Gonna be hard to tip them again this year
