I have yet to see ONE low elo legend that would not wipe the floor with me. Like maybe that one guy who never adjusted to counter archers I guess, I could maybe take that guy. So don't feel bad.
@@MaeseEidos Just learn a build order and practice it with the build order scenarios. You would easily win even against 800 or 900 Elo if you learn some basic hotkeys.
I just don't understand. When you cast a 498 elo player, they are a complete mess, BUT WHEN I PLAY A 498 elo player, they get to castle age at 16:00 and proceed to wreck my world.
Because you are focusing on what they are good at, while t90 is focusing and what they are bad at, completely different perspective. The "complete mess"that is blue in this video for example have very good idle TC time.
If they got 16min castle age it means they have basically no milltary to back them up, just couple of scouts in fedual could serious mess them up and "wreck their world", even an early resign would not be surprising.
@@windflier1684 'basically no military' - a single knight wrecks those scouts - rushing to castle can be good if you have a unit with a bonus on it or a great unique unit - yes you lack eco, but with strong enough units and good enuogh micro, if you can finish the game early, eco doesnt matter
Well, here's my 2 cents. Everyone's good at different things. That doesn't change at high elo or low elo. The peaks and valleys of their skills and weaknesses might be more extreme, but nobody's equally good at everything. A low elo player might be (comparitive to their rank) really damn good at one thing but fall apart when it comes to everything else. After all, if they were better at everything than you, they'd be a higher elo. What I'd suggest is to try and identify what their plan is, and do anything you reasonably can to avoid playing into their desired strategy. As an example I've been attacked really effectively and thought for sure I'd lose, but when I counterattack them instead of continuing to defend with my troops my opponent ended up falling apart. Some players might be really good at attacking, but really really bad at defending. Or vice versa. Or they might be great at micro but awful at economy/large armies. Good at early game combat but bad at choosing the right counter units. etc. This is where scouting comes in, as good scouting of your opponent can help to make more informed decisions on what you should do next.
For some reason when I started playing, I leaned heavy towards cavalry units, because I felt the mobility simply made them completely better than other units

GG as always with LEL. If only blue built a stable! Scouts or light cav would have taken out both rams and scrims. Murder holes is a good tech just not against rams.😎

Why is there no mod on aoe2 having a mini map with fog a war like in ALL the other game : sc2, dota, lol even aom has one... that s killing me that the dev still didn t not think of it. Even capture age has it...
Low elo legends, while fun, really confuses me on how it can happen. Surely anyone who plays AoE is will into their adulthood. So they aren't 5 year olds who really have no idea how to do anything. To get this low you must play, and lose, a lot. More than just being below average. So you have to somehow never learn anything in any game, or be impaired in some way. Even people who do 4fun tactics like the guy who mines forward deposits, must be able to reach a higher elo if they get better in general.
Why does AOE even have amphibious terrain? Its not something from the real world. It feels like a gimmick or cheat code having a giant navy floating past a little town. Maps like Water Nomad where its all amphibious terrain are the most hellish maps that exist. I dont like water maps but at least its realistic and tolerable. Why did they decide to have amphibious terrain at all? I hate it. Will never play on it.
Four years ago they added the option to have your starting Scout unit, well, auto-scout. The computer takes control of the unit, and it'll gradually reveal the whole map (assuming it is mostly land). It is generally seen as not terribly helpful at the start of a match because it'll generally head to one of the corners and then go back and forth the entire map in strips, like trying to download a naked picture of Captain Janeway on dial-up. So yeah, might help new players find resources and thus make the game more fun, but is pretty pointless at higher ELO.
One opinion. (Mine and mine alone.) I watch UA-cam not twitch. I don't want to hear thanks subscriber 37. You can also do prime. I realize it takes more effort in the editing but for me it's worth it. If you copy and paste it seems lazy in my opinion. If I wanted to watch the live stream I would. There are different platforms for different reasons. You should respect that and not make them the same. I want to see the finished video not the live stream.
I mean, he does special videos just for UA-cam as well, so I wouldn't call it laziness, just what is the value of the work? What you're asking for is for him to rerecord the entire video for the sake of a little bit of advert revenue. Of course, you're allowed your opinion, but I don't think it's practical and the majority of his content will be taken from his live streams.
With all due respect, this is a skill issue on your part. Just skip ahead 10 seconds or mute your volume if it bothers you that bad. No need to put unnecessary stress on the editors when it doesn't impact the quality of the content.
The saddest thing to me is that these silly fools would probably beat me in a 1v1.
