I went to the tournament on round 7 and Tan Zhongyi, Koneru Humpy, and Praggnanandhaa came to the fanzone. But I was in the balcony while Praggnanandhaa was there, so I completely missed him 😭. I wish I could've taken a picture with Hikaru or Alireza 😭

Good to see you finally got the screen and mic working to interact with the crowd. Doesn't help those that attended earlier in the tournament. Not worth $64 to sit in a room watching the same UA-cam stream I could have seen at home
Hope you can get in touch with FIDE if you have feedback about prices/expectations. We’re not in charge of the technical setup but always looking to make improvements
@@chessbrah I have tried to give my feedback to them, don't know if it's received. But if you're hosting the fanzone I would expect some planned interactions and atleast the tech to be working. It seemed like Day 2 was a dry run for later in the tournament and everyone was still figuring things out.
I spoke to you guys there and you were super friendly and fun, so nothing personal but I was a bit disappointed with the overall experience
very understandable. it was a priority for us have a more interactive setup (such as control of the screen)
