    I love this. I have an OG from early 2000s. I would so love munuit sonne and and there's another. Don't we all get fed up with reformulated versions, but itsball out of our control. I love the licorice in the original.
    Once again you've produced such a lovely video. Keep them coming. I don't watch many UA-camrs especially and you're one I so adore 💗 💖

    I have Lolita Lempicka in the blue bottle shaped like an apple with the stem sprayer. I think half of why I like it is because of the bottle… lol

    Great review, Luke. If you were "all over the place" at all - it's because Lolita Lempicka is friggin all over the place. It's exhausting figuring out what you are buying!

    I had this same quandary about which to purchase. I held off for ages. Then I saw an affordable bottle of the first release after id tried a friend's and I went for it. I totally understand why it was so loved. But I know the reformulations are pretty good too and the latest one does sound pretty similar...
    My understanding was that when Lolita Lempicka transferred production by Pacific Creations to Leslie Leonore International to go vegan, they didnt have the rights to the bottle designs and obviously had to reformulate slightly, so I'm really not sure how they got the original bottle back 🤔 I am guessing ingredients just improved, perhaps new ones became available or cheapened over the years and that allowed them to reformulate again to something closer to the original release... obviously all rumours and my own speculation 😂 could be absolute tosh 😂

      I agree with you about the reformulations. The new one smells perfectly fine to me.
      That actually makes a lot of sense, thanks. It looks like they somehow got back the rights to the original bottle design, as you explained. Still, I don’t understand why there has to be a new release of the original every wo years. I understand that they went vegan and had to change the formula. But that happened once. They’re been playing this game since 2010. Countless flankers later, we finally have the o.g. back.

      @@lukeparfums being suspicious, I wonder whether the new release every 2 years is just to keep the brand alive without too much effort of a brand new fragrance line. Each one comes with a press release and free publicity.

      @@dr.claire.perfume I don’t know the first thing about marketing but I’d say that designing a new bottle, financing a marketing campaign, press releases and what not is more expensive than just keeping a fragrance in production. LL has a big following. If they focused on maintaining the quality and catering to their loyal customers with maybe a special December holiday limited edition every year, they’d make more money in my opinion. Just my two cents.

    I owned the OG back in the day but at one point i was so over perfumes like Angel, Lolita Lempicka and Wish by Chopard, we all smelled the same 😂 And i dont mind not having them in my collection anymore

    • @lukeparfums
      @lukeparfums  2 місяці тому +1

      I see. You have a point. I know I’ll never repurchase Givenchy Pi because I’m just over it. Angel and Wish, though, are two that I enjoy. I’ve only tested Wish once and found it really similar to Angel. I’ll probably get Angel at some point; I’m a patchouli hound.😂 But I understand that your Angel phase is over and that’s okay. My Givenchy Pi phase is over too.

    Hi Luke!😊
    I’ve been completely smitten with everything I’ve tried from Lolita Lempicka! Both this edp and Lolitaland. 😊
    I only have a decant of this perfume, but I love it and I know that a full bottle is in my future!😂
    I also have a tiny dabber bottle of Sí Lolita! It seems to have a little spicyness. Maybe a touch of cinnamon, but not too much. I like it, but I love the others!
    Thank you for talking about this perfume. Another great video!
    And…who doesn’t love a good rant?!?😂😂

      Hi Leah! You were the one who put me onto Lolitaland. I wore it a few times in April and May. I won’t be using it during the summer because it’s too cloying.
      Lolita Lempicka is such an interesting and underrated house, isn’t it?
      Si Lolita has such an interesting bottle. Is it discontinued? As always, thanks for watching!🙂🧡

      @@lukeparfums When I looked for Sí Lolita, I only found the little bottle. I’m not sure what the status is.
      There were a few bottles on eBay for sale, but I’ve been a little reluctant to trust the sellers.

    In case you hadn't heard of them yet, I would refer you to the Eau Légère of Lolita Lempicka and l'Homme by Sonia Rykiel. They don't make either anymore, which prompted me to try and start making perfume on my own... It'll be a long process and I might not even get close, it is what it is.

    • @lukeparfums
      @lukeparfums  2 місяці тому +1

      I have not. Thanks for making me aware of these. I love the Eau Légère bottle. And sincerely, best of luck on your perfume-making journey. If you ever release a fragrance, I’ll be here to review it. Thanks for watching!🙂
