Janice looks like she is wearing a policeman's Kevlar vest. Are those models afraid of the Plinko chips? Note - the Plinko board is in the back.....that kinda gives it away like Give or Keep.
It's funny watching this from 1983 and the people are all excited at what they can win.Nowadays people would be like is that it,only 25000 dollars.I'm sure the nowadays is at least 10000 id have to look but id bet it is.
You mean they didn't used to make a lot* We get paid pretty well when you consider the tax free part and health care for 0 and the education for free and the 5k a year for classes. Yeah back then was different but anyone who still thinks the military is broke is wrong trust me I know personally. Heck you leave your family, that extra. You go overseas, tax free. You go into danger, that's extra. If you ask me a lot of military members are overpaid. Not saying my career is, but most are.
@@anthonybron620 good sir i stand corrected....i only know what some of what ex military friends and family would tell me about how much the heroes get paid...i am happy to know military is not the low pay....stay safe...
@@anthonybron620 If you think any military member is over paid, you are FUBAR. You can NOT eat the medical care. The education money is NOT free. You have to pay in to get it. You have to pay for your uniforms which is killer expensive. There are NO tax free wages except when/if you are in actual combat. You obviously do NOT serve in the same Military that I served in or that my son served in.
Woman wasn't very smart playing plinko, if she would have dropped all the chips in the middle if even one went to 5,000 dollars she would have won more than she won ! Good chance of winning 10,000.
Johnny Olson’s voice has that smooth sound of a bourbon drinker.
I grew up with that voice with The Price is Right and Match Game. Miss Johnny Olson
It was actually scotch accord the Match Game documentary that I watched
She didn't make any mistakes, because she listened to herself, instead of the audience.
Ooh! That heirloom clock would make a beautiful addition to any home!
Heck yeah, I'd take it even today.
I love plinko. So random and fun
Johnny Olson's voice is iconic a relic on many game show from come on down to plinko to anew car to match gme
Dianna Thank you for your service. I entered the USAF in 1983.
I was hoping Bonnie would win because she is 🔥 !! 😍
Dianna is a sweetheart!
Love this show! Wasn’t able to watch in 1983-wasting my time in chemical engineering classes.
You can tell the next pricing game is Plinko with the display was shown during the contestants row bidding.
Interesting; I don't recall ever seeing that "clue" back in the day. Perhaps it was just a goof that slipped by in this particular episode?
Later I believe the plinko display was revealed on the turntable
I was Sailor 1970-74, a Corpsman in Norfolk VA, the gals I worked with all looked like my Cousin, but, were great to work with, especially the Nurses!
Thank you for your service and I Salute to you
Who is the greatest Barker's beauties of all time
$3000 was a lot of money back in 1983
Not really.Maybe the equivalent of 9K
Reminds me of my time in the USN. 86/91! Hated ironing those whites!
Right!! I had a buddy of mine in supply press my whites. He had a nice cash side hustle going on. Great times on a ship.
That's why I bought a set of CNT Whites. USN 1995-2001.
It’s funny to see the prizes
Bob always vaguely inappropriate. But then... it's just the genius of the show.
Janice looks like she is wearing a policeman's Kevlar vest. Are those models afraid of the Plinko chips? Note - the Plinko board is in the back.....that kinda gives it away like Give or Keep.
And to those of us that remember 1983 ... $3000 would almost buy you a car or make a really nice down payment.
@Eddie-Az1970 I wish I could get an extra $3k.
thriwren ..you'll probably waste it on scratch tickets....no three thousand for you...
@@Kara_Kay_Eschel So could I.
Plinko is my all time favorite. It needed its own game show

Dianna did a amazing job. 😀👍
Not
That contestant is now well into her 60s, just for point of reference.
Johnny Olsen and Johnny Gilbert. Awesome announcers!
Both associated with TPIR.Johnny Gilbert temporarily hosted during the Bill Cullen era.
Chris, that's spelled the late ⏰ Johnny Olson, not Olsen.

Danger O'Reilly : I don't see it !!!!
$8100 in today's dollars.
Well done
Bob always seemed to get ticked when everyone over bid.
He's a big tic

Look at the begining of the video, the $25,000 Plinko Sign was already on the Middle Audience stage!!

My favorite game.

Johnny Olson....
👍
The title is right, very sweet and smiley, lovely❤️
No not really
@@isaiahhatten7973 matter of personal opinion.
Ik
I wonder how long she stayed in the Navy?
Wow, that’s be with $9.123 in 2023 money. That $3,000 was probably half her yearly salary back then
$3000 was a lot of money back then
The last chip hits $500... You're welcome...
For an E-3 in 1983 that is the equivalent to almost a half a year of pay.
If her rating badge is real she was an E-5
Plinko is the game most money can be won on tpir
Johnny Olson was definitely the greatest announcer in the history of T.P.I.R,
I wonder what her job was in the Navy .
Aviation Machinist, her rank is E-5/Petty Officer 2nd Class.
Is Bob wearing a brown leather head wig !!!!????
Nope 🙅!
Is Bob Barker wearing a brown leather head piece over his entire head !!!!????
You should get bonus money for hitting an amount more than once.
