  • Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! UA-cam's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the high octane, 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28.
    MSRP pricing for the limited production Z/28 begins at $75,000. Add A/C and a radio like this one has and you're looking at $76,150.
    During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
    FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of UA-cam!

    I don't think most people here understand that it's a track car, like the 911 GT3 RS. Its not meant to have 700+ horsepower like the Hellcat, and it's not made to have a high quality leather interior. That just adds more weight.

    The $75k Z28 kicked the track pack GTR's ass and destroyed the $400K F12.
    This car fucking matched the 458 italia's figure 8 time.
    A simple tune and cam swap nets 600+ horsepower for a little under $1,500.
    $75K is a fucking bargain!

    I like both transmissions, manual or automatic. It also depends of the car you're driving. I like manual for a sport car, automatic for a sedan, crossover, suv, etc.

    You people obviously no nothing about this car. It's a TRACK CAR. Not a luxury car. if you want an automatic luxury car, go buy a BMW or a Mercedes. It was designed to go around a track fast, which it does. It has all these things missing or downgraded to save weight. If you don't like the car, don't watch the video. Simple as that.

      Huh? 2011 GT-R 7:24 vs. 2014 Z28 7:34 on Nordschleife. This has 505 hp and weigh the same as a GT-R. I DON'T like GT-R's, so it's not a fanboy thing, the current GT-R is just a much faster car than the current Z28. Put Trofeo R tires on the GT-R and the difference will grow dramatically.

    • @grabber_blu_angel
      @grabber_blu_angel 10 років тому +2

      ABOlsen69666 This is 1/2 the price of a GTR, If you want, we can look at the specs of the 2014 Corvette ZO6, which is still half the price as the GTR and is quicker. But according to Motor Trend, the Z28 is a better all around car, and it's more fun. And it also beat the GTR in Motor Trend's Car of the Year award.(Z28 came 1st) I don't mind being a little slower for $75k cheaper, and better looks.

    • @AB-80X
      @AB-80X 10 років тому

      D Stingray I don't have the energy to go through your entire post, but two things stick out. Firstly, the fact that you say that the Z28 is an over all better car than the GTR. Secondly, it is none other than MOTOR TREND who did the comparisons of the cars you talk about. You do realize that the Z28 is a stripped out track car, running on Trofeo's right? Go have a drive on a rainy day, I dare you. Want to take it out on a 90+ degree sunny day? You sure as heck will need to bring water and a good antiperspirant. Also, MT is the most biased magazine there is. It's a wonder no car manufacture has sued the ever living crap out of them, for the bull they come up with. As for looks, that is completely subjective. I don't like the GTR, I don't like anything about it, period. However, I think the Z28 is a hideous boat. It looks ridiculous. This coming from a guy who owns two Gen II Trans Am's.

    • @grabber_blu_angel
      @grabber_blu_angel 10 років тому +1

      ABOlsen69666 I never said the GTR was a bad car. I said that the Z28 is better for the money, and a professional car reviewing company agrees with me. The way the Z28 looks is totally your opinion. I think that it looks amazing. In my opinion, your posts seem quite biased; but when it comes down to it, the Z28 IS a better car for the money. It's only a few seconds slower around a track and it's like I said, half the price. Also, the Camaro has Traction Control and Stabilitrac. I have a friend that has an SS 1LE, and he has had no complains. He loves it.

    Good review, Saabkyle04, but I heard that there are five pre-set driving modes on this car, including "touring" mode; although, I don't know if this is true or not and I still have yet to find it anywhere online. I'm sure I will eventually find it somewhere but it would of been nice if you included it in your review; unless of course there are no modes at all?

    For all you people complaining, this is a TRACK car. It's filled with Chevy's top performance parts to make this thing a monster. The reason AC and sound system is optional is because it all adds weight. They're not doing it to be cheap, they are doing everything possible to get the most weight reduction out of this car. Including the headlights which so many of you complain about, it's adding weight to the car and is an unnecessary accessory. This is not a daily car, this is barely a take it out every week car. It's not luxury. It's performance and that's it.

      Another thing is if you look closely, the car is fuckin huge. Everything about it is awesome, except for one thing: the wheels and tires. There sooo tiny. They dont fit the overal bulkiness of the car. They need to bump it up to some 20"-22" to even it out

    • @J-W.-
      @J-W.- 10 років тому

      ***** exactly! Nonetheless its a great car but it can be greater! Maybe 22inch lightweight wheels in back and 20 lightweight up front.

    • @Dylan-xj8tb
      @Dylan-xj8tb 10 років тому

      The wheels have 305 size tires on all 4 corners, that is the widest of any production vehicle in the world. Putting 22's on the car is going to absolutly kill the entire purpose of this vehicle. Its meant for the track, big "rims" are not. Now if you want to ghetto out a car then get an 80's oldsmobile

    • @J-W.-
      @J-W.- 10 років тому

      Dylan Sumski big wheels has nothing to do with being ghetto period if thats the case most cars made to date are "ghetto".

    Awesome that they went with lightweight (And great looking) 19 inch wheels instead of the usual 20s. They're designed to match the car's performance and capabilities perfectly. Now just wait, somebody will buy one of these and throw some huge 24 inch Dubs on it and never take it to a track. Then complain that it doesn't have a sunroof or NAV.

    Smh... all these people keep bitchin bout the interior... appreciate what you got today, cause the REAL muscle cars, from the 60s, had no radio, no nice power seats, no ac, no heat, no power windows, no power brakes, no power steering, none of that. That's the way REAL muscle cars were. Appreciate what you got today cause it was different back in the 60s and 70s. I prefer the 60s muscle cars- with a big block under the hood and a loud exhaust that wakes up the neighbors. But I still like modern muscle cars. Love this Z28.

    Awesome Sound! What's funny though about the z28 sound is that it's the first Camaro I've heard that sounds like my stock 2016 Mustang GT only louder I think. I haven't listened to the ZL1 but having a supercharger I can't imagine it sounding any good like the Z28. The SS and SS 1LE sound much the same to each other and pale in comparison to the Z28 and the Mustang GT, it's sound is like a V8 Mustang concealed in plastic or something. If you don't believe me listen to a stock 2015 2016 Mustang GT. Only make sure to have nice speakers and a subwoofer to make it sound like you're there in person.

      That's because Naturally Aspirated engines ALWAYS sound better than Boosted ones. You'd be surprised how many people don't realize that.

      They removed the lights used on the Camaro SS because this was meant to be a track car. Air conditioning and radio are optional. Chevrolet didn't make them standard because they wanted to drop as much unneeded weight which included removing the Camaro SS headlights.

      Becausr gear heads are worried that the manual gearbox will fade away. I'm one of those gear heads who simply doesn't give a damn about. People should comfortable about what gearbox suits them and not be bullied about it.

      No, they aren't. The majority of cars in Europe have MT and most of them are BULLSHIT. There are fun to drive manual cars and fun to drive automatics, they just drive different.

    thanks for the review. I'm still on the fence about this car - it makes american muscle even less affordable. I miss the days of affordable muscle cars - when I say muscle cars I mean a v8 not a v6.
